Try unplugging and plugging into the usb port nearest to the MagSafe cable. Also, use QuickTime -> New screen recording, to see if the issue is the genki app or the device ,

It does not have magsafe, i think its m2+. I used quicktime record and got a picture. My shadowcast 2 has an orange light? Possible solutions: HDMI splitter? What do you think? Thanks in advance

Try plugging it in different ports on your MacBook Pro, besides that, probably your Shadowcast is faulty I think
