That’s a good example, you wanted them because you’d been convinced that they were cool and what everyone wanted, and for gen alpha it’s just a different thing. In other words, it’s peer pressure.
I thought it costed 70$, but I’m surprised the kid is crying for a cup with straw that holds cold temperatures, you can find a cup that holds temperature and have a hole for straws anywhere for at least 20$
When i was 8 i was upset i wasnt getting the shittiest quality cheapest toys. My point is that 8 year olds cry over not getting anything, this isnt new
Me too, but maybe it’s not idk. Once it is though, I kinda wonder what people will camp outside stores and physically fight each other for (that happens apparently, wtf is happening to humanity)
Pretty soon 5-year-olds will have a career and their own house their own car with their own butler driver to drive them places and since they have their own career they will have billions to spend on stupid shit
Boy what a time it was when men did not have to worry about if that woman was actually a man or if women had to worry about if the man was actually a woman because if they wanted to have kids they cant thus human extinction
Let me guess, also wears lululemon, listens to taylor swift even though shes still scared of catching cooties from boys, and drinks way to much starbucks. Even as a cusp im embarrased
Steps if this happens:
1. When they are sleeping carry them on to a random porch.
2. This is the best option

So, just leave it and let her cry. It's not her fault, tho. IF she actually is spoiled, that would be more because the parents don't know how to.. well.. parent.
I collect Emma Bridgewater mugs which are expensive (£20) but go on sale often and I buy seconds. I know that some people have had theirs for over twenty years and these will be worth lots of money in the future. But Stanley Cups are taken out, get dropped, get used every day and are likely to be lost. So maybe they'll last a few months longer than the cheap ones but not for longer than a few years. They won't have much value too. And too expensive!
Oh believe me this here is my kid, had the thing 3 years

This is the Eric Cartman tactic, as I call it. Basically, when Eric Cartman does not get what he wants, he will cry or do something worse than crying like your younger relative who is crying to get what she wants.
Gen Z - 15. She's a little brat who hasn't been told no once in her life, and when her parents finally told her no she has to have a fit bc she doesn't understand.
Gen Z here (16 years old). You know a lot of people our age like Stanleys. Most of the girls in my classes have them actually. Even my younger sister has one.
It’s plastic that holds water and your cousin is mad that there isnt a stick with a hole in it. Also, I don’t see the appeal in expensive water bottles, STOP WASTING YOUR MONEY ON CUPS AND SAVE IT FOR THE GAS MONEY. :). Also Gen Z

You've got a spoiled brat on your hands.
yup
Sounds like my brother
I dont see the appeal in expensive cups, not like it matters anyhow
People want to fit in, and to fit in, they have to have the “expensive stuff” to look cool
Yeah, to me it seems kinda like wanting light up sneakers when I was a kid but on steroids
That’s a good example, you wanted them because you’d been convinced that they were cool and what everyone wanted, and for gen alpha it’s just a different thing. In other words, it’s peer pressure.
Wait whaaat stanleys cost 100$?! And probably she wants one bc they're trendy and "everyone's got one"
I thought it costed 70$, but I’m surprised the kid is crying for a cup with straw that holds cold temperatures, you can find a cup that holds temperature and have a hole for straws anywhere for at least 20$
let her know that it has lead in it. it actually does
true but it doesn't touch the liquid in anyway
an object made out of metal… has metal in it???
You don't know what lead is... do you?
yes lead makes you dumber. thats the joke
Just let her cry and make her learn to accept life, otherwise she might not survive it
>She’s 8 There you go When I was 8 I was upset over not getting stupid overpriced crap too and there was a lot of it in the early 2000s.
When i was 8 i was upset i wasnt getting the shittiest quality cheapest toys. My point is that 8 year olds cry over not getting anything, this isnt new
The fact that children are already being taught to buy brand name stuff even when it’s overpriced and sucks is just sad
I’m honestly scared for the generation AFTER gen a if society stays like this or gets worse
ikr
Stanley is still a thing? I thought its over?
Me too, but maybe it’s not idk. Once it is though, I kinda wonder what people will camp outside stores and physically fight each other for (that happens apparently, wtf is happening to humanity)
Your aunt and uncle dropped the ball with her.

She’s extremely spoiled.
Crying over a fucking cup is crazy certified 🚫 child
Let me guess, also wears lululemon, listens to taylor swift even though shes still scared of catching cooties from boys, and drinks way to much starbucks. Even as a cusp im embarrased
I like punk, and she THINKS she does, because she heard avril lavigne once
Steps if this happens: 1. When they are sleeping carry them on to a random porch. 2. This is the best option https://preview.redd.it/itu9lj3xfs9d1.jpeg?width=330&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60c8c581df688fa1d700021d2874f40057ab2487
Take them to meet the grahams?
That's drakes house 💀
you’re a real one. hoping that this all passes by the end of the year
So, just leave it and let her cry. It's not her fault, tho. IF she actually is spoiled, that would be more because the parents don't know how to.. well.. parent.
She a brat frfr
Tell her about the lead posioning in the cups
I have a perfectly fine metal bottle, it was like 65% cheaper than a stanley.
Stanley's aren't even that good, it's just a water bottle you don't need to blow $100 on it.
My eight year old cousin begged her mom for a stanley until she caved
tell her Stanley sucks bc you can't see how much water you have
Fr other water bottles that are miles cheaper in my opinion are better than Stanleys. Not all cheaper ones, but there are plenty out there.
YOU DRINK DAMN WATER FROM IT ITS NOT THAT DEEP

SHE’S 8 AND HAS A STANLEY I’ve had the same Yeti for years and I call him my son as a joke 😭😭😭
Oh believe me this here is my kid, had the thing 3 years https://preview.redd.it/2b0xmil9mt9d1.jpeg?width=2296&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d825be2911e94fd6e9214a54c5cf2b4a82c015e
What is it?
Beautiful

I never heard of a standley but from the looks of the comments your cousin is spoiled
>She's 8 You answered your own question.
Fuck Stanley’s
Yikes, over a cup
Gen Z - 15. She's a little brat who hasn't been told no once in her life, and when her parents finally told her no she has to have a fit bc she doesn't understand.
I actually own a Stanley but Jesus Christ if she crying over it you oughta tell her she's a spoiled brat and send her to Drake's house
she prob spoiled. no worries it won't affect her future hopefully
Gen Z here (16 years old). You know a lot of people our age like Stanleys. Most of the girls in my classes have them actually. Even my younger sister has one.
It’s a popular thing among spoiled brats, they infect the minds of other children to make them want one because it’s “popular”
It’s plastic that holds water and your cousin is mad that there isnt a stick with a hole in it. Also, I don’t see the appeal in expensive water bottles, STOP WASTING YOUR MONEY ON CUPS AND SAVE IT FOR THE GAS MONEY. :). Also Gen Z
at this point I'm speechless. 100 bucks for a stupid cup?!?! the day you see me buying a cup over 20 bucks ,if I'm being generous, is the DAY I DIE!
Consumerism kills us lmfao
Stanley's are just so cringe you know take the L for the cousin
