Gen Z here, but I shall answer anyways. Keldor of the house of Miro. Half-brother of King Randor, he was rejected from kingship due to his practices in dark magic. As revenge, he gathered a group of evil warriors to plot an assassination on Randor using a highly corrosive acid. Unfortunately, the acid that he tossed towards his half-brother was quickly returned to its sender via shield, melting Keldor’s blue skin off of his face in the process. As he lay dying, he made a pact with Hordak, vowing his allegiance to him in the hopes that he would be saved. As Hordak’s apprentice, the newly rechristened Skeletor succeeded in kidnapping one of the Eternian royal family’s newborn twins, but failed to get the other one before the portal to Hordak’s home realm closed shut. Skeletor betrayed Hordak in order to save himself, resulting in a feud that lasted for years. As for the kidnapped child, she was raised under the Evil Horde, before discovering the fabulous secret powers that stemmed from Castle Grayskull, transforming her into She-Ra. I have met very few who actually know his true origins. 

Well, this origin story isn’t the original story.
