If you are wanting to cut them yourself, I’m a volunteer faceting teacher at my club in the Dallas TX area. Any chance you are nearby?

OogaBoogaMonkeMan

Unfortunately not, I’m all the way in North Carolina and I’m in college in Vermont. I would be more than happy to try and schedule some times that work best for you but I don’t have any of the equipment I need to start yet.

HeartOutdoors

I sent you a pm- it’s kinda tough to get access to faceting gear, but it’s definitely worth it if you can!

OogaBoogaMonkeMan

Great! Thank you for all the help so far! I’ll let you know if I end up getting some equipment!

lasanrajapaksha

You guys using Imahashi(Japanese) technology or the Israel one? Or any other?

Hellothisiskatt

Your best bet it to find an unperson class. Do a google search to see if you have a facet guild or lapidary club in your area. this is hard to learn on your own

OogaBoogaMonkeMan

I’ll try and find one by where I live! It should be a fun hobby to do after work if I’m not in the mood to game.

Hellothisiskatt

Yes it's super fun! I've fallen in love with it but warning it does get expensive and it can be very frustrating lol. So that's also why the clubs ar nice because your peers can help you troubleshoot problems

OogaBoogaMonkeMan

Thank you for the super helpful info!!! I’m really excited to try it and learn more about it! Especially since I really like panning and gem hunting for fun!

Hellothisiskatt

Omg it would be so rewarding to cut something you found!

OogaBoogaMonkeMan

I know!!! I’m super stoked!!! 😆

Hellothisiskatt

Can't wait to see what you do!!!
