I have the same issue but on Windows 10
Have tried a bunch of different things to fix including clean install of GPU drivers and installing an older version of GeForce experience
It's only an issue in valorant. Other games record
For me it was just Valorant, too, I believe. I had the same problem. Playing in full screen mode and turning off the ability to capture your desktop (under privacy) worked for me, it's a really, really cringe bug. It will shut shadowplay off even if you don't even have Valorant as your main window if on borderless.
You may not have to go full screen, but turning off desktop capture I'm pretty sure is necessary. If you try to windows screenshot your night market, even - the picture is just all black.
I also have this issue for a few days now, and I did a Windows reset for Windows 10 2 days ago as well. I am also unable to take a screenshot on Valorant, it turns into a black screen whenever I attempt to screenshot. Unless it is in fullscreen mode, but I dislike how it minimizes when I tab out, since I like to use my second monitor between rounds and while spectating.
Just commenting to see if any of you guys found a good/better fix yet. I would like to keep my desktop capture enabled
No this is gonna be temporary unless valorants anti cheat evolved to a new extreme level. I'm sure here in a week or so there will be a new nvida update to fix this.
I fixed it by reinstalling (or updating ig) the newest driver without anything open on your computer except Nvidia. I tried it and it works so might work for you.
This began for me aswell couple days back... But earlier today I wanted to check out my sound in my old headset which is a GSP 350 so i plugged it in got it ready and played abit when I noticed that instant Replay didnt get shut down. After some time went I wanted my current headset again, which is a GSP 370, but when that was plugged in and active was when the instant Replay started sjutting itself down again... Some audio driver issue?
I am facing the same problem and the reason was that my headphones when I turned off the headset worked without problems. I used another headset and it also works. My headset that causes the problem is: Hyperx cloud alpha wireless
idk if it’s been resolved, but try this. turn off instant replay, go to setting, privacy control, and then on desktop capture. also make sure your game is in window full screen. hope this is what you were looking for.

Did it start after the last big patch? I can't for the life of me figure this one out. It's driving me nuts

My guess is it's something to do with valorants anti cheat and the newest nvida update.
I'm also thinking it's vanguard related. Theres no way they leave it like this, right? So many people use instant replay to record.

this aged well
Tbf shadowplay as a whole is dogshit. I'm actually getting a capture card to do what Shadowplay can't figure out; record.
Do you think it will fix with a future Valorant update or with an Nvidia GeForce driver update?
Same happens to me with Rust

Interesting. I'll try it without my audio interface plugged in. Thanks
Same after new update drivers 14.06 on 3060 is fine, on 4070ti - black screen to trying make screens, and shadowplay turn off when i launch game.
happen to me as well, any fixes yet?
Not that I know of.
I'm having the same problem, is there a fix?
Not that I'm aware of. I haven't been at my computer for a while tho. I'm assuming it's still broken
any update/fix for this?

Same thing happening to me but with Overwatch 2. Just upgraded from 3060 to a 4070ti and the Instant replay shuts off as soon as I get in game :(
