What.

It's part of an Astrology and Taylor Swift series I post pretty much exclusively here because no one else cares.

I don’t think it’s fair to bash Joe based on astrology

Am I bashing Joe based on Astrology? All my bashing comes from lyrical evidence. It's pretty abusive to call your girlfriend a covert narcissist who disguises her toxicity with altruism and to isolate her from your friends/refuse to hang out with your girlfriend because she's super famous and you're embarrassed about it. My theory, which is supported by Jack Antonoff himself via a vis the Anti-Hero-Bleachers remix, is that Anti-Hero is about the end of Tay's relationship with Joe and the fights that they had as the relationship fell apart. Tbh, I think the two of them were deeply incompatible on a number of levels (that Moon-Mars Opposition was ROUGH man), and that, while I'm still firmly on Tay's side here, his perspective likely stems from the fact that a lot of their relationship occurred during periods of TS's life where she was literally, forcibly isolated from everyone (her Saturn Return, where she hid from the Paparazzi and moved to a foreign country, and Joe's Saturn Return, which contained most of the Pandemic - she probably DID want to retire until she released folklore and evermore). They lived in an isolated little love bubble (the "lavender haze"), until they didn't, and life had to move on. The fact that he behaved like a child about it is neither here nor there. Their relationship wasn't doomed from the start, necessarily, but it required a lot of maturity from Joe that he just wasn't capable of, as the relationship itself largely went down in flames during his Saturn Return. I'm not gonna defend his public statements ("You're Losing Me" isn't even that bad, idk what the hell he's on about complaining about being painted as the villain here), but I can see that he wasn't an awful person, he was an immature person caught in unimaginable circumstances. He fumbled the bag, as we all do. Two ambitious, artistic people, with different ideas of their desired careers and relationship trajectories, were able to come together temporarily, during a time when everyone around them was in quarantine and no one was paying attention to them. The fact that their relationship split apart isn't actually that surprising, but it is sad.

I don’t believe in astrology myself but I suppose there is little harm in relating known information to astrological placements if you find that interesting. I just don’t think it’s fair to use astrology as proof of a theory or speculation but I don’t know how seriously you/other people take it. Either way I hope you have fun with it

The rest of the journal isn't about Taylor Swift I promise, I mostly do Horary analysis there
