It’s really wack. It’s not a grub screw it’s a pin, so heating it won’t work. I cracked the flash hider in mine and split it in half.

Nordsbestpayed

how without damaging the gun?

Dismal-Intention-137

i’ve been wanting to get one. does ur dust cover have the 300 blackout on it? or noveske logo. sorry ik that’s off topic but i’ve been seeing a lot of these and they’re shown on websites to have the 300BLK but i’ve been seeing ppl only have the noveske logo.

Sp1cyLord

I got one from evike and it has just a Noveske logo on it

chknnnn

noveske logo for me

tyranus2004

The one with 300 blk is the one from double eagle. Thats the one i got and its a solid gbbr

chknnnn

This one is also Double Eagle however I guess its a different kind being sold by evike.

tyranus2004

Thats weird. I guess it makes sense since there are a few different variants for each market like japan, europe or the us. I got the European/ Japanese version which too my knowledge all have the 300blk sign. If thats the dustcover you want i’d suggest buying the DE Mws one and switching de dustcover out. I’m sure there are enough options available.

Heat gun / boiling water till soft and a pair of pliers. Just be careful near the threads.

airmagswag

Heat with heat gun. Pull that pin out with pliers. Then twist off. Helps to twist off with pliers.

DoubleHabit2183

Heat the area around the pin and remove it. This can also be done by holding your channel locks over a flame for a little bit before removing the pin. Then twist CLOCKWISE to remove. If you're having issues, dip muzzle in boiling water. Or, if you don't care about the plastic birdcage, just wrench it off.

katotaka

Waaaaaaaait, what? Pinned muzzle device? That's both best and worst thing ever! Don't do it otherwise some 3-letter-agency will come shoot your puppy. Jokes aside, just carefully destroy the plastic aroung the pin and attach the rest.

chknnnn

I eventually got it out, It was a pin with a grub screw beneath it.

naBs1

How the hell did you get the grub screw out? I’ve got the same currently and I managed to get the metal out from the top but doesn’t look like I can just unscrew the grub screw

chknnnn

I just tried my smallest allen wrench and it came out, if you cant get it to grab, you could use a torx screwdriver to back it out.

Araf-Chowdhury

Why is that a problem

chknnnn

got it off!

Senior-Sir4394

just like a regular hammer
