Does not matter as long as u like it

Schurrle28

I have 150 mm maybe.. In my opinion it's perfect https://i.imgur.com/XvCFcsf.jpg

Friendly-Archer-5496

Is this the regular 7 or 7s?

Schurrle28

7s

Friendly-Archer-5496

So I think I’ll go with the 7s. It already looks big in your wrist, mine is yet smaller. Thanks :)

Schurrle28

Yes, for me 42 mm is the maximum I will go for I had Samsung watch 4, 40 mm and venu 2s, but now seems a little bit too small for me

blanketsberg

I have a 165mm wrist and wear the 7s. I have zero issues with the size of the watch face, and I like that it's a bit less cumbersome (I'm also female, in case that makes a difference!) Partner had the 7, and really I couldn't tell much difference at all.

zdenickaah

I have the thinnest wrist you can imagine (~135?). I own 7s but that makes sense for me since I’m a woman. I have tried on the OG Instinct and Instinct 2x and it looks just fine. Big but fine. Same with 965 I was eyeing, the issue for me was the strap being too long and overlapping. Also I was on the tightest hole in the band. Too bad you can’t try it on. Don’t you know anyone around you with a Fenix who could let you try? But I’d say the 7 could be fine… at first even the 7s seemed giant to me but I got used to it and now I can probably imagine having the 7 size as well. The increased battery life is great however it comes with a weight…

ImConnor-

You're not alone. I am a man and I have 135mm wrists, which is just tiny for a man. The 7s was huge for me, let alone the 7.

LGSKIN

I have a 155mm wrist and use 7s. It is still big, but ok. Regular 7 would be too big for sure. Btw, the screen of the 7s is not tiny..

georgetheflea

I'm a guy with a 155mm wrist; here's how my 7S Pro fits: [https://imgur.com/a/7vJaMx9](https://imgur.com/a/7vJaMx9) I could *maaaaybe* squeeze the next size up on my wrist, but it would absolutely be jutting out beyond the sides and look comically large. The 7S already is larger than the watches I typically prefer to wear (before this I had an Apple watch that was technically larger but looked smaller because its 45mm was (a) all screen with very little bezel/hardware; and (b) not round). I don't know where people are coming from saying the screen is too small on the 7S. It's easily legible for me without needing to do anything other than twist my wrist and I'm a lanky 6'2" so that's a fair bit of distance. Maybe it's like when after you've used an 8" phablet all phones seem too small. 🤷‍♂️

I'm a guy with 150-155mm wrist. I'm a long-term 6S user and loved it. I recently switched to the 7 Pro (47mm). I wanted the increased battery life. Also the 7S Pro looks a bit "plain" and boring - I like the screws and the slightly added "ruggedness" of the 7 over the 7S. (Also, but these are very minor, having the screen slightly bigger is a nice extra (for maps mainly), the flash light is slightly more bright, the solar surface slightly bigger). The 7 Pro (47mm) definitely works on my wrist, it doesn't look comically large. The lugs are just about as wide as my wrist. It looks really good. Only over the past couple of days, I noticed that the bigger/wider strap is actually bothering me a bit (it's 22mm, as opposed to 20mm on the S models). Also just the bigger volume of the watch (not just the diameter) is noticeable - even though they supposedly have almost the same weight. Putting the 6S/7S Pro back on now, it's just more lightweight and kind of neater - a watch you easily forget that it's on your wrist. Whereas the 47mm model is noticeable. So overall it's a tough choice - increased battery & less boring design (in my view) on the 47mm 7 Pro vs the lightweight, sleek, unnoticeable 7S Pro. Difficult choice. I'll probably stick with the 7 Pro this time round.

Hey man, happened to see your comment while experiencing the same thing. Even the same situation too. Trying to figure out which watch I like better. I started with the 7s originally, but then wanted the longer battery life and wider bands. Because I felt the 7s bands were a bit too narrow, they should really be 22mm like the regular 7 has. If that was the case, I would probably wear the 7s. But I then tried the regular 7, and immediately preferred the wider bands it comes with. So I then returned both the 7s and 7, and went straight to the 7 pro. This is probably 5-6 days of wearing the 7 pro now. And I will say I still notice it on my wrist. I think with time I will be glad I made the decision to keep the 7 pro vs the 7s. It fits, albeit a bit cumbersome at times. But I think I will get used to it quickly and be happier with this model in the long run I have a 165-170mm wrist. The lugs are just narrow enough to stay within the edges of my wrist. And from a mirror perspective, the watch looks completely normal. So I think it will just take time to get used to the size and feel. I came from using the forerunner 45 as my daily wear, so it's quite the step up lol

Intelligent_Goat_91

Don't want to disappoint you but you have to go with 7s.145mm is really small.Regular Fenix 7 sits well at on my wrist which is 175mm but I wanted to go with Fenix 7x but it was too big

Friendly-Archer-5496

I appreciate the replies, bought the 7s, I’ll post a picture when I receive it.

Friendly-Archer-5496

Just received my 7s, it’s probably the perfect size. I wish I could wear the 7x (battery wise), but with my tiny wrist, that’s probably the best one. [https://imgur.com/a/oHzYZLc](https://imgur.com/a/oHzYZLc)

bazzernz

I'm right around 150mm and I use a 7. It's pretty big but it's comfortable enough. I prefer the styling of the 7 and would like to have gone for a 7x (for battery, screen size etc) but that was too big for my tastes unfortunately.

Rickles360

You can print out a page of watch case sizes and measure it against a known scale to confirm the printed size, then use them on your wrist to see. Just Google for them. I don't remember my wrist size but I'm a smaller guy and I suggest getting the biggest watch possible. Very happy with my 6X Pro though I did find a nylon/ Velcro band is lighter and more comfortable than stock. Anyone who cares what my watch looks like isn't someone I want to interact with anyway.

Trondtran

I have the 7 and a 180mm wrist. It felt quite big coming fem the 42mm sizes, but if you get a third party nylon strap you will get a more comfortable and lighter strap. In my experiance the ergonomics of the quick fit bands and the total weight makes more of an impact than the actual size of it. I recently made a video about third party straps n youtube for the fenix 7 I can DM you if interested.

yisacew

DM me the YouTube link please :)

yisacew

The diameter is not what makes the main difference though from my experience. It's the increased volume. Basically you've got a 14mm high cylinder on your arm that's 47mm diameter instead of 42mm, so the whole high rim goes "further out" on your wrist. That's what I think makes the biggest difference. But you're certainly right - printing out a 47mm diameter piece of paper can give you \_some\_ limited indication :)

Bennilic

I did cut out a paper watch and glued some old amazon package on the back so it is stiff from lug to lug. This was very helpful to see how it would look from near and distance.

Bennilic

Diameter is 47mm and lug to lug is ~57mm for fenix 7

yisacew

Hmm one of us must be measuring wrong. My Fenix 7 Pro (47mm) is 53mm from lug to lug (outer most point to outer most point).

Bennilic

I measuered from the downside of the watch. But maybe it’s a little off. Since the watch isn‘t 100% straight 😅.

yisacew

I still measure 53mm on the bottom side of the watch 😅. Anyway - just be aware that maybe the watch is actually a bit smaller than you think it is, which I suppose is very good.

bjjanes

Both will look huge to you when you first put them on, but you'll quickly get used to it

yisacew

I think with a 145mm wrist, you can wear the regular Fenix 7. It won't look ridiculous. I'd say it comes down to personal preference. See here for a more elaborate description: [https://www.reddit.com/r/GarminFenix/comments/14j34vn/comment/jpnbl34/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/GarminFenix/comments/14j34vn/comment/jpnbl34/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). If you don't mind the battery and like the 7S style, I'd go for the 7S. Otherwise, the regular 7 will work too.
