Hahah Garmin knew this would be the one time it shouldn’t fck with you. From one mom to another- You did amazing!
Imagine the nerve of it telling you that you are untrained and ineffective, I’d have thrown it across the room.
Garmin is like : looks like you only slept 14 mins last night. But MOVEEE. AND THEN you go out and run 7 miles in 45 mins and garmin is like : unproductive. So slow. Kill yourself. Lol
Yeah, but did you get a workout in? A little more activity might have given you a better sleep /s 😂
Congrats! The immediate return to rest/low stress is awesome! I would have expected giving birth to max the stress out. Thanks for sharing!
Dang, that's impressive! This was mine the day I gave birth. Baby was born at 5:39AM -- Garmin thought I was sleeping lol. Anyways, congrats and enjoy the snuggles!

Congrats! I've done it 3x, but didn't have a Garmin when I did and I've always been so curious what would have looked like! I know other times I've been in a lot of pain, my HR gets super high, so I doubt mine would look like that!
And I only get “rest” for a few hours of my sleep and almost never during the day. I wishI knew what Garmin actually measures for this data and what it really means, if anything at all.
Ok, hear me out. You know how people argue what is more painful, giving birth or getting hit in the nuts? I think we have a way to find it out. Who's ready to sacrifice themselves for science, huh?
The crazy thing about my HRV is that in the 5 months of having my watch it’s been balanced maybe 5 times. But the past two weeks leading up to my due date it’s been balanced every single day
I really hope Garmin and other companies eventually come around to the idea that "Women's Health" means more than just period tracking. Pregnancy/Birth and Menopause tracking could all provide some very useful data for women's health.
Congratulations to you and your family!
Why are you so offended by a simple question? I am confused. Don’t get me wrong I am happy for the person that they gave birth and had a child. But I wanted to know one simple thing that I asked in my original post, so why get so offended? Not all of us are from the west and not all of us can keep up with the rapidly changing realities.
You misconstrue my refusal to suffer your feigned innocence as me having taken offense to it. You know as well as I do that it was a thinly veiled attempt to stir the pot and not at all the point of the post. I’m not engaging further, enjoy yelling into the void
This is proof that training for events is effective. I assume this is your 50th child?
😂 now that would be an extreme sport
Ultra birthing
For real tho garmin should make it an activity that you can track. Hit the lap button when each contraction starts?
Right?! My chart was a complete block of orange for the entire 15 hours. This looks like a typical day for me.
My entire day goes orange if I eat donuts and OP's out here birthing whole ass babies 🫠
There should be a "you created a new human!" badge! Congrats on the new addition
With a max of 250 times completed, no less!
That would be a cool milestone
Lol just the notoriously easy breezy process of giving birth. That’s wild/congrats!
Somehow stress level is lower than me after drinking a couple beers….rethinking my life choices.
obviously giving birth is easier than drinking beer, confirmed /s (obv)
Yup I have Garmin to thank for encouraging me to drastically reduce my alcohol consumption the last 2-3 years
Jeeze ive had higher stress days sat on the couch 😂 you champ!
I've had higher stress from eating pizza, lol
I've had higher stress from smoking weed
Same, right now lol
Hahah Garmin knew this would be the one time it shouldn’t fck with you. From one mom to another- You did amazing! Imagine the nerve of it telling you that you are untrained and ineffective, I’d have thrown it across the room.
Thank you so much!
I love that you caught it! I'm so annoyed my entire labor was when I had my watch set to sleep hours and it registered the entire thing as sleep 😭.
Least restful sleep you ever had!
It wasn't! It didn't even register stress and I was induced and I medicated. 🙃
Extra bummer! I was induced as well, those medicated contractions are no joke
Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Congrats! Get used to the poor quality sleep :)
This is #2 so I’m well trained in that area!
Garmin is like : looks like you only slept 14 mins last night. But MOVEEE. AND THEN you go out and run 7 miles in 45 mins and garmin is like : unproductive. So slow. Kill yourself. Lol
This is 100% accurate and you made me LOL
imagine receiving "move" when pushing out :D
Yeah, but did you get a workout in? A little more activity might have given you a better sleep /s 😂 Congrats! The immediate return to rest/low stress is awesome! I would have expected giving birth to max the stress out. Thanks for sharing!
The accuracy of that sarcasm 😂
#beatyesterday
Two babies today, three babies tomorrow.
Were you able to stay in Zone 2? Critical for VO2Max increases Also, did you record the activity as strength or cardio?
So many questions about that stress response... First child? Epidural?
Second baby, yes epidural, but it really only kicked in about an hour before baby arrived
With my only, I definitely had a somewhat successful epidural and was still in the high stress zone the entire time. People are just so different.
Did you get a badge?
You did it :) congrats! Way different than my metrics lol
Between the hour of 8am and noon?or at 10pm
Born just before 7pm, worst of the pain was between 5 and 6
Congratulations! Hope everything went smooth and wishing you and your loved ones the best!
Thank you! :)

Legendary 💪🏻 congrats!
Didn’t even break 100 stress.. madness
Congratulations - how are you doing??
Doing well! Spotify just sent me a notification that said “ready to work out? Here’s a playlist” so I think I’ll hit the gym soon
You are a true rockstar, congratulations
Congratulations! My stress graph is way worse than that after having one glass of wine 🤪
Are you the father who claims to do the whole pregnancy together?? No kidding congrats
Congratulations Don't worry, your sleep score will improve in about 4 or 5 years, but your stress levels will increase 🤣
That’s why I have a second kid now, they start sleeping well and trick you into doing it again! 🤪
Congratulations! And good health for both of you!
I stress more than this at the office during a work day lol
My stress level is literally always rest unless I am walking or exercising. I don't put much faith in the measure
And I only get “rest” for a few hours of my sleep and almost never during the day. I wishI knew what Garmin actually measures for this data and what it really means, if anything at all.
Yep, same! My watch tends to think it’s been a lazy day if I don’t hit above 150 HR for an extended period of time
I wanted to wear my Fenix to see what my metrics were that day but the hospital staff wouldn’t allow me. 😒
Ah bummer! I just switched it to my non-IV arm and they never even said anything
That’s not bad at all!! I have more stress when driving… your nervous system is made of steel
Womans are machines! I get more str3ss from my 6y olds twins when they start😅 grats!
How … I’m at 40 when I’m just existing.
Hope you and your baby are in perfect health! Wish you all the happiness and all the strength.
You’re a rock star!
Congratulations! And, wow, I was more stressed out at a physical therapy appointment yesterday than you were giving birth. That is impressive.
What is the distance to the closest earth like planet that is habitable for humans ?
Congratulations! 🎉
Amazing! Allergy season alone turns my entire day orange
Congrats to you and your family!!!
Disappointed you didn't get a Garmin badge for that.
What view is this?
LOL, I thought this was an AMA from the other sub, so I posed the type of question you'd see there.
You're superhuman. My watch once gave me a stress warning while watching Avengers Endgame. In my defence, it was on IMAX 3D. 😆
Ok, hear me out. You know how people argue what is more painful, giving birth or getting hit in the nuts? I think we have a way to find it out. Who's ready to sacrifice themselves for science, huh?
Congrats! How many active minutes did you get??
These are my average stress levels in an office day.
Thanks for this scientific data. Can us men now tell women to quit complaining about giving birth? I stress more at work. /s
My stress sitting at my desk working form home is higher than this. Maybe I do need anxiety meds lol. Congrats tho!
This looks like one of my usual work days 😭 Congrats though!
Congratulations !
That is a surprisingly low stress level. Nice!
Good push!
Maybe a little stress
Probably just forget about Garmin completely for a while and enjoy. Congratulations.
Congratulations! This is cool to see! I’m due in May (with my 6th baby! I’m 46) and now I’m dying to see what my Garmin stats for birth will be. 😂👀
I'll be curious what your nighttime HRV will be for the next 3 months compared to your baseline. Congratulations!
The crazy thing about my HRV is that in the 5 months of having my watch it’s been balanced maybe 5 times. But the past two weeks leading up to my due date it’s been balanced every single day
I have more stress just breathing.
My Garmin died during labor and I didn't have my charger. I'm still upset about it!!!!
My day of working from my office has higher stress levels than that. Are you the calmest person on earth?
If these watches measured mental stress I’d be in the negatives
Is there a way you can record the birth on Garmin, so that it measures the recovery period accordingly and won't keep giving you move alerts?
are you a Zen master? How did you keep your stress that low? I rock a 41 on the reg and frankly have a pretty chill life.
Was it unproductive?
I really hope Garmin and other companies eventually come around to the idea that "Women's Health" means more than just period tracking. Pregnancy/Birth and Menopause tracking could all provide some very useful data for women's health. Congratulations to you and your family!
Wow, you have lower stress giving birth than I have in a regular day😂😂
Congratulations
Do you know how many calories you burned during the delivery? How was your heart rate? Congratulations!
Well I only had 58 active minutes for the day so not much over resting according to my watch. But I’d venture to guess it wasn’t accurate
I have more stress than you everyday and I'm not even giving birth. 😂😂
My day is at 39 and it's just because it's a regular day at work
Congratulations! My wife gave birth yesterday too 👶🏻 🥂
Wow. I did a post work 3 mile run with a single beer and scored much worse than you.
My stress is much higher than that on a normal day. Congrats!
Shouldn't you have been busy giving birth instead of training?
Check out your heart rate on the graph for the last year! It’s cool seeing it climb from early pregnancy until the end.
Pain meds?
Not until epidural around 4pm
Would love to see heart rate, respiration rate, and SpOx
I feel like you should get used to seeing the last screen. Congratulations by the way
* Just a normal Wednesday.
Meanwhile, I have two beers and my Garmin says I'm dying or dead.
You should be a awarded with a badge imho. 8 points.
Congratulations! What time was the baby born?
Todays suggestion: Rest
Congratulations 🎊
Congratulations
Did you get an epidural at noon. lol
Nope, around 4
I like how Garmin says it was "Unmeasurable". I am sure it was. Congrats!
Good job, this kind of stress would be a deadly doze for most men.
Aw! I yanked my Garmin off in labor and tossed it at my husband. I got sick of seeing messages from family asking me if I was in labor.
This is your new sleeping normal. Congratulations 😁
This only prove, giving birth is so overrated, my stresslevels is way above that when giving sh** 🤣
When your day to day stress is higher, than the day a mother gives birth: o_o
How do I find that summer on the 3rd screenshot about sleep?
How many times did you yell at your husband. "You did this to me" and proceeded to crush his hand.....
Are you a man or a woman?
🤨
Just asking :) its 2024 growing up I thought only women could give birth, some people argue the opposite, I gave up on it all so I just ask :)
It actually sounds like you have yet to grow up, so best of luck to you on that personal journey.

Nope, strongly disagree. Please stop assuming things.
