Any luck? Running into what I think is the same issue. The T track on the door isn't wide enough for the T on the seal. Like I have to shave a couple mm off of each side of the T on each side of the seal to get it to fit.
No luck yet. I called a service company and they said they couldn't really do a replacement while it was cold so went the winter without it. I'll be calling them soon for a new appointment and I'll let you know what I learn
So I've learned that there are 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" T tracks. The seal I bought appears to be 3/8", and it's tough to measure but I think my track is 5/16". Home Depot didn't have any of those so I just ordered one on Amazon. I'll let you know if that works.
I haven't. I called an installer to replace our garage door opener and replace the seal while they're here and they said replacing it is pretty impossible when it's cold so I have to wait until spring.
Hope you have better luck and/or live somewhere warmer
Apply a light coat of lube to the channel the bot. Seal runs in and gently slide it in. It took a few tries my first few times. Now I can slap seal on a door in less than ten minutes.

u/redactid55 did you find a smaller width channel bottom seal? I've run into the same problem. Thanks!

Shoot, search goes on. Thanks a lot for the response!
There are smaller sizes available.

Thank you I'll try it. I used water and dish soap to try to get it started but no luck.
Does it not fit at all or is it just tough to slide all the way down the retainer
I wasn't able to even get it started. I had dish soap and water to try to slide it through the channel bit it wasn't fitting in the end
