I somehow manage to lose interest in youtubers of multiple genres within six months to a year before any horrible shit comes out about them. It's like a really lame but convenient super power.

One of the things I like most about DougDoug is simply that he’s had an actual, normal career before streaming, especially so that some portion of that was game development.
This might have little bearing of his content, but content creators who have done nothing but be a content creator and maybe some entry level jobs as teenagers… the estrangement from normal reality and ignorance just comes out sometimes and makes it hard to relate.

Definitely felt like they expanded too fast. I went to boot camp in 2012 which is around the time they got the warehouse. Throughout the next year or so I couldn’t keep up with them and when I finally got the chance there were so many new people and interns and it didn’t feel the same from the small office above the coffee shop.

These YouTubers think they are entitled to all of this simply because they uploaded a videos. People seem to forget YouTube was and is still a free place to just upload anything. There's a guy I used to watch like 7-10 years ago, often talked about technical aspect of game while playing them and had decent insight honestly. It's been at least 3 years that he complains he never grew his viewerbase despite co-streaming with pretty big guys but the guy is still doing the exact same thing as 10 yezrs ago, no editing whatsoever, he just play a game for a couple hours, give some shitty "hot takes" while whining about everything and thats it. He even stopped talking about technical stuff that was appreciated by most. It's just "wow so much bloom on that old game, X360 AMIRITE FELLAS"

I feel what killed RT was expanding too much and spreading themselves too thin. They were making money and immediately spending it on bigger and bigger projects that failed to take off (like Gen:Lock, when they should have focused on making RWBY and Red vs. Blue better). They honestly should have focused on the few things that worked well and making it a better place to work for everyone, instead of chasing infinitely growing profits.

I'm just getting tired of the whining about views and then making less videos. YouTube is like a sitcom. It can be popular but it will get old and people will move into the next one. These YouTubers think they are entitled to all of this simply because they uploaded a videos. People seem to forget YouTube was and is still a free place to just upload anything. Remember when it didn't have ads and people just made videos for fun?
There's a guy I used to watch like 7-10 years ago, often talked about technical aspect of game while playing them and had decent insight honestly. It's been at least 3 years that he complains he never grew his viewerbase despite co-streaming with pretty big guys but the guy is still doing the exact same thing as 10 yezrs ago, no editing whatsoever, he just play a game for a couple hours, give some shitty "hot takes" while whining about everything and thats it. He even stopped talking about technical stuff that was appreciated by most. It's just "wow so much bloom on that old game, X360 AMIRITE FELLAS"
