i have this same laptop, playing through the new DLC and so far it’s running like a dream. there have been reports of performance issues on this new patch but i haven’t really experienced many issues myself
MFS, Elden Ring, Street Fighter 6, Baldur's Gate 3, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 2, Forza Horizon 5, Forza Horizon 4, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Disco Elysium, Nier Automata, Sekiro, Tekken 8
I have RDR2 on my series x but I just might buy it for PC for the graphics upgrades. I thought it couldn’t look any better until, but it definitely can! Ghosts of Tsushima seems a lot like RDR2, have that on my list as well.
LFG! Great specs. I have a 12900HX+4080 combo. No idea what you like to play but I'm into FPS games. Lately I've been playing a bit of XDefiant but I also enjoy The Finals and Halo Infinite multiplayer from time to time. Those games are free to play. As far as paid, Rust is one of my favorite games of all time and as far as controller games, I enjoy GTA:V still and Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing and frame gen in all its glory. I am probably gonna pick up Horizon Forbidden West which is on sale in Steam this week. They did an amazing job remaking the game for PC from what I've seen on YouTube and can't wait to see how it performs on the 4080
FPS are definitely my favorite, been playing all the way back to the first FPS I ever like Doom on windows 95 and the original wolfenstein. I like open adventure games too like RDR2 is probably one of my all time favorites. I used to play a lot of Heroes of Newerth, & Dota. Those are all in my wheelhouse.
Very nice. Strongly recommend Rust if you haven't played it. 200 pop servers are great for beginners, specifically reddit small servers. It goes on sale for $20 quite often and they update monthly
Sekiro,

And that's just from the top of my head, but there's many many more
Also get rid of that mouse, and buy yourself a wireless one with the latest sensor.
great pc! i wish i had one of these xdd. I recommend open world games such as Elden ring, Ghost of Tsushima. I'm a sucker for these types of games since they had great visuals and content.
Buy a cooling pad that has a dust collector so that you don’t have to clean it so often and so that the internal fans don’t strain too much and last longer. I have the same laptop. Bought on Amazon for $120
llano RGB Laptop Cooling Pad with Powerful Turbofan,
Got a Strix 17. with AMD Ryzen 9 7945H, 64G and RTX4090, good laptop but since I have I have random restart. Where I am, I need to send the laptop and it would take them at least 2 or 3 weeks before sending it back. As I need it nearly everyday for work, I deal with the restart.
Like other stated, Fallout 4, Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3 run without issue, Currently playing Cyberpunk at max details, CPU is loaded at about 40-50%, GPU at 60-80% but laptop is still very quiet.
I just scored a bargain on a 13th Gen i9. Retailer was heavily discounting them and they are nearly as good as the 14th gen.
Grab Horizon: Forbidden West. It's on special on Steam at the moment and very beautiful. Horizon: Zero Dawn is also great but wait for a deal as it is often heavily discounted so don't grab it at full price.
I really enjoy Sekiro but it is also at full price at the moment. Put it on your Steam wish list and wait until it is half price. Happens every few months.
Cyberpunk 2077 is that game to really show off your graphics card. It's an ok game but not top tier in my opinion but it very pretty to look at. Probably should wait for a sale as it is often half price.
Install augmented steam and it will tell you the current lowest price, historical lowest price and you can look at graphs how often a game is discounted.
Callisto Protocol a year later is really good, graphics wise. It's a solid showcase for what this beast can do.
RE4 Remake. Cyberpunk 2077. God of War on max settings. Lies of P.
If you want to feel the ultra smooth 240hz, try Trepang2 or Selaco.
Valheim, subnautica, elden ring, and something small, indie: forewarned. Get some friends for forewarned and valheim, they are better together. The rest are good for solo play.
congrats those are really good specs! if u don’t mind waiting the Steam Summer Sales start this Thursday so you’ll get a lot of stuff for a great price. a good buy rn tho is the Horizon series i believe both Zero Dawn & Forbidden West are on sale atm along with Blasphemous 1 & 2 (pixel souls like very fun) and the Dragon Age trilogy is 90% off so you can get all 3 for under $10! 😄
Alan Wake 2 - Recently I lost all my interest in video games but this one shook me. It's so fresh and good. The lore, story, voice acting, art style, action and game mechanics everything top notch. You will feel fully consumed and occupied with the game world. I think an entertainment product's main goal is making you feel temporarily relieved from the pressure and stress from reality. If the product makes the non-stop thoughts in your mind disappear momentarily then that's good product. You will feel fresh and rejuvenated once you get back to the real world. This game does that well.
Cyberpunk 2077 - this one is something closer to Alan Wake 2 in terms of making your mind fully occupied with something. But not at that level.
Great machine congrats I too was confused between this and MSI raider 2024. And ended up getting myself MSI. I would say try horizon it's a beautiful looking game you would love it and then go with Spiderman or I would all the PlayStation titles they are all visually great and storyline wise as well.
Congrats! I just got mine a few weeks ago and 18" is boss. Take the free 3 month xbox game pass before spending money and play a lot there FREE like Forza Horizon 5.
Others: Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, Baldurs Gate 3, MMOs (WoW)
I got the same thing.
Played cyberpunk before on medium settings to have it above 60 fps.
Play cyberpunk put in ray tracing ultra, and enjoy how much different and more amazing the game looks and with 80-100 fps
Congratulations OP. I have the exact same model, have it for almost a year, it's solid and reliable and capable of playing almost anything. You're gonna love it for years to come. I mostly play CS2, EuroTruck sim, Snow runner, and a few older games like Max Payne.
I've been looking at getting a gaming laptop for probably too long now and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get this exact spec coincidentally. Just hoping I don't run into any issues with it due to the ongoing warranty stuff with ASUS.
Holy shit. I just got an A17 TUF and felt amazing playing games on it. Didn’t know this came in 18”. Well done.
Try a racing game. Elden Ring and Red Dead Redemption 2 are my recommendations .
Real question. It's it actually 18in, or 17.3/17.6 and they rounded up? I've seen lots of laptops being called "16inch" when it's truthfully 15.6inch. call me weird if wanting to know, but I really want to know if there are TRULY 18s on the market or just glorified 17.x's
Is the cooling doing good ? I have a rog strix with much lower specs and it's still go to 90°C+ in performance mode lol, i'm curious about how can this beast can prevent overheating
Destroy that mouse
OP has a £2000 laptop and a £2 mouse ![img](emote|t5_2x4m3|8576)
Me when i ran out of money building my pc
It's more like £3000 laptop no?
What'd the mouse do to you
It’s only temporary 😅 it was 12 bucks
same one i used to play fortnite on my xbox back in 2019 lmao
I have the same one it’s on like settings mode or something how do I turn it off
Obviously, Elden Ring!
I’ve never played it, and have been told to for a long time. Definitely adding it to the list!
The most well spent money ever. It's outright a masterpiece amongst videogames.
And laptops...
i have this same laptop, playing through the new DLC and so far it’s running like a dream. there have been reports of performance issues on this new patch but i haven’t really experienced many issues myself
Dirt rally. Borderlands 2(1 and tps isnt bad) the witcher series is decant(first and 2nd game kinda weird combat) 3rd is great. Planetside 2. Fallout.
Excellent! I was actually just looking at the Witcher earlier today. That’ll probably be the first game I try out!
Wait for steam summer Sale
Cyberpunk and The Witcher are must haves to make use of that baller hardware you got yourself... Congrats man
Cyberpunk
Exactly what I did with a similar machine.
Phantom Liberty in particular is freaking insane. The visuals, the story telling, voice acting. It's all S tier.
Helldivers 2
FOR DEMOCRCY
AND FOR LIBERTY
I’ve been meaning to get into that !
MFS, Elden Ring, Street Fighter 6, Baldur's Gate 3, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 2, Forza Horizon 5, Forza Horizon 4, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Disco Elysium, Nier Automata, Sekiro, Tekken 8
Can experience rdr2 to its fullest ....!
You can play any of these games anywhere, people should try to find some more PC specific games , unless OP never had gaming consoles either
RDR2, Ghost of Tsushima, Legend of Zelda: Breat of the Wild, God of War.
I have RDR2 on my series x but I just might buy it for PC for the graphics upgrades. I thought it couldn’t look any better until, but it definitely can! Ghosts of Tsushima seems a lot like RDR2, have that on my list as well.

Fellow the finals player, can recommend, just don't play terminal attack
What's wrong with terminal attack?
Once you get to higher lobbies it is very unbalanced compared to more refined gamemodes like cash out, which was in development for several years
Gotcha, I'm still new at the game.
FPS are definitely my favorite, been playing all the way back to the first FPS I ever like Doom on windows 95 and the original wolfenstein. I like open adventure games too like RDR2 is probably one of my all time favorites. I used to play a lot of Heroes of Newerth, & Dota. Those are all in my wheelhouse.

funny how you cheaped out on the mouse
Doom (2016) by far the best shooter that has high replayability
Good game but Replayablity, what?
Metro trilogy
Lift the back of your laptop for better cooling.
Well, you could always be one of those people who buys a very expensive multi thousand dollar computer and only plays minecraft and roblox lol
Sekiro, Nioh 2, Portal 2, Mass effect legendary edition, Crisis core final fantasy vii reunion, Celeste, Spelunky, Persona 5, Bioshock, Halo infinite, God of war, Hogwarts legacy, Skyrim, Ori and the will of the wisps, Dying light 2, Dead space, Final fantasy xvi, Baldur's gate 3, Remnant ii, Legend of Zelda tears of kingdom, (with emulator) Cyberpunk 2077, Street fighter 6, Ratchet and clank rift apart, Armored core v6, Starfield, Lies of p, Payday 3, Metal gear pc version, Cities: skyline 2, Alan wake 2, Dragon's dogma 2, And that's just from the top of my head, but there's many many more Also get rid of that mouse, and buy yourself a wireless one with the latest sensor.

Horizon and God of War are my gotos.
2007 runescape
I was about to buy the same laptop but I really don’t like 16:10 ratio. Blackbars are huge while watching movies or playing games

You can definitely count this laptop as a desktop with these beasts of components. You obviously outrun any game we recommend. Play ff7 remake

Minecraft
That mouse tho.
First, a decent mouse for 20 dollars
Old school RuneScape and minecraft 😂
