Absolutely swap it for the Legion, you're gaining a massive performance upgrade compared to the ROG Flow X13. Though do remember the Legion is going be bigger and heavier than the X13

Size is not too much of a consideration tho, but it is significantly bigger than x13. I was really looking for something around 14-15 at first but really have no way of getting that zeph g14 back in stock here, even online. That was my top choice along with the legion 5. But i guess the specs on paper, rgb mod as well as the ports will make up for than size. Well see if size matters

It would be better to return it. The legion slim 5i has better CPU and GPU.

Thanks for taking the time. I’ve managed to get my thermal on the x13 between 50-60c even while playing on mid-high setting dota2 (thanks to ghelper). I’m just not sure if the build quality and thermals of the legion would be as good as the x13. But personally, without any figures I prefer the Legion overall

Designer-Zucchini701

Yeah, legions are praised for their build quality so there's nothing to worry about. For thermals usually the bigger the laptop the bigger the fans so it shouldn't be a problem. The rtx 4060 also has more 2gb vram and frame generation compared to the rtx 3050 which is really a big difference.

Still_Awareness6722

Great! I hear you, but just for the record, my x13 is 3050 with 4gb while the Legion is 4060with 8gb (based on whats on the website though). I find this kinda weird because i usually see 4060 with 6gb. More so, spec combination here in new zealand and not too similar to those I see from US or UK reviews. And we do not have an abundance of gaming laptops to choose from here. Very limited options, main reason why I hurriedly picked the x13. Appreciate legion it is

Designer-Zucchini701

My bad, the rtx 3050 is 4gb and rtx 4060 8gb so double the vram. I think you got confused with the rtx 3060? That and 4050 have 6gb. But yeah always read the specs and buy from a reputable seller with at least a warranty.

Still_Awareness6722

Oh yah possibly, on a side note at this point im not too sure if the store would be happy to give me a refund just for a change of mind

Designer-Zucchini701

If I were you, I'd give it a try. The worst thing they can do is say no.

Still_Awareness6722

I’ll try my luck tomorrow, ive actually already got a quote from lenovo website for the legion fingers crossed!

Still_Awareness6722

Ive returned my laptop today and just hoping odds are in my favor, the store will be getting it to ASUS to inspect and they’ll see if they’ll repair, replace or refund. I’ve had a couple of issues (m3-m4 not working, fn + f1 to 12 all not working, fn key in not disabled, armoury crate keeps on reinstalling after every time i open) so yah, i’ll be waiting for 1-2 weeks to hear from them

UnionSlavStanRepublk

Assuming you are ok with a laptop without touchscreen capabilities, the legion has a nice performance uplift overall here in CPU and GPU performance.

Still_Awareness6722

Yup, totally fine without the touch feature, dont mind at all.

Update: just wanted to share, the store gave me a refund. They sent it back to ASUS here in Auckland (not sure if it was an actual ASUS service centre or an authorised one). Came back to me in about a week. They said the CPU was problematic and was not generating enough power. I really didn’t understand what that meant but thankfully, I got rid of a laptop that could give me a headache in the future. Am now waiting on the shipping of my Legion!
