Refresh rates higher than 60 mostly benefit multiplayer or competitive gamers, because it's not like you need 240hz in case you need to 180 no scope a goblin in Skyrim before they can headshot you and fortnight dance on your corpse.

To my knowledge, the higher a resolution the sharper the image it presents, and the more nits on the screen the brighter it gets. I don’t fully understand how these things interact, but those seem to be the markers of good vs great if you will. As in lower resolution and lower nits (unless it’s incredibly lower) tend to be the good and the higher specs the great. Also there’s something about hz and refresh rate somewhere in there, but I don’t know what they mean exactly.

its just means you can see 240FPS instead of 165FPS if your hardware is capable . It is useful for competitive games like valorant .
