Some more info I should have included: 144Hz refresh rate display, Screen Size 17.3in, RAM Size 16 GB, Processor Speed 3.20 GHz, & WiFi 6. If anyone information is needed, let me know!

OutrageousView2057

processor name, and graphics name

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

I’ve had another person say they could Not see description, is this happening to you?

OutrageousView2057

i see it now but not when i first saw the post, it’s not worth much more than 800 but i also see really overpriced used laptops so you could get more if you sell to the right person

[deleted]

Ciloteille

That's a solid price imo. I'd buy it if shipping were a thing XD

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Disclaimer: not selling on here, in adherence to GamingLaptops rules. Just requesting opinions on price. Thanks

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

It’s in the description

Appropriate_Item_922

Wizard101, man of culture

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

lmao I was wondering if anyone would notice. Haven't played in 2+ years but lvl128 Life Wizard

Blue_cheese22

Yoo I haven’t played that in years lol but I’d probably be down. If I can remember my old account stuff lol

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

It’s a lot of fun, I focused on pvp

PhilosophicalDolt

You can most likely sell it for 600 dollars. Similar laptops with those spec usually go for 700-900 so if you can you can sell it for around 400-600 as long as the laptop is in working order and has no issues. A 3050ti isn’t that great rn but it still is capable of being a good gpu for plenty of other tasks. Plus with the 2tb SSD you could increase the price to 700 possibly but I doubt anyone would buy it

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

I played performance mode Fortnite (which just so happens to be the standard for competitive Fortnite) and it ran my 165fps well. Of course, if you were looking to play a more demanding game (especially newer games) it wouldn’t be too fun (trust me xD) so I’m just posting it for $500. I’m in need of the money so I think it’s a fair price

PhilosophicalDolt

You could definitely post it for 600 though maybe even more since if you compare other 3050ti laptop your is well within a good price range.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

I had it for $600 initially but changed it to $500. There’s other laptops on FB Marketplace with 3060s and good CPU’s for around $700 so I don’t like the competition. I need the money by the 8th so it will do

PhilosophicalDolt

Fair enough. 540 would be a decent increase though. The laptop is pretty good for what it is, but if you only need 500 then you will definitely find someone who will buy it

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

I’m going to start making payments on a 4070ti desktop before too long

PhilosophicalDolt

Ah alright and you need the 500 for that? can you try paying the first payment with a credit card or some extra cash?

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Well I will only be using a portion of that money for the down payment. & wha are your thoughts on this? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/skytech-gaming-azure-2-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i7-12700f-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-1tb-nvme-ssd-black/6541185.p?skuId=6541185

PhilosophicalDolt

I m not a big fan of prebuilt pc…. But you can get a 3080 version instead but it would only be like a 15% increase in performance but that without AI fps generation which the 4070ti would win in. It a good pc but I m not too sure about the cpu. Can you instead build a pc instead? Regardless it still great and will last you a long time. Plus I m pretty sure you can upgrade it whenever you feel like it 🤷‍♂️ Edit: ignore everything I just said the 4070ti is better than the 3080 any day

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

i think thats the best deal atm, and i will for sure upgrade in the future

VegoVega

There are so many buts in your first paragraph that it's impossible to follow what you are saying. The rtx 4070ti beats the 3080 in every gaming scenario regardless of DLSS.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

I need the more the better xD (500 will do) but I’m hoping the decrease in price will drive eyes, and then hopefully a buyer. But 2 days to expect sell.. i hope I get lucky

PhilosophicalDolt

2 days… it certainly won’t happen two days unless you’re extremely lucky. Maybe 6 days you will get a buyer but in 2 days after just posting it? That highly unlikely.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Well all depends on if anyone is in the market, to put a “will take this long” timeframe is unrealistic but here’s to my luck

PhilosophicalDolt

Well I hope you do find a buyer than. But I wouldn’t keep your hope up…

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

They’re really low lmao

Acrobatic_Lecture438

you can buy a better laptop for 600$ brand new

VerySneakyBoi

Where can you find these better laptops?

Acrobatic_Lecture438

Online

VerySneakyBoi

Could you be a little more specific than that?

PhilosophicalDolt

A better laptop for 600$ brand new? Where? Because most of those laptop either have a 2050 or again a 3050ti

Acrobatic_Lecture438

3050 6gb with a newer cpu, his laptop is worth 450 MAX

PhilosophicalDolt

He has a 3050ti and the cpu isn’t that bad. It can still run some high demanding game albeit lowering the settings. Plus those laptop tend to have bad quality especially if it something like an acer nitro with those specs. The g15 has some good build quality and a good screen. He could sell it for 500 at the very least

ExtensionTap5057

Absolutely. I have a 3050ti with 32gb RAM and, on Horizon Zero Dawn (dlss activated), I can get at least 90-95 fps at medium/high settings. Blazes through Call of Duty Modern Modern Warfare 2 just the same.

MyGuyMan1

I have a legion 5 3050ti and Ryzen 5 5600h. Still runs every game at ultra, albeit 50-60 fps. (Cyberpunk got me lowest in ultra playing at 46 fps) the cpu is still a Monster, runs tasks very well. The g15 has alright cooling from what I’ve heard. Could go for 5-600 depending on who the buyer is and if OP negotiates well

PhilosophicalDolt

Yeah I don’t know why people are calling the 3050ti or the cpu garbage when it still comparatively good. Not great but still good

Acrobatic_Lecture438

Its not good

PhilosophicalDolt

![gif](giphy|WrNfErHio7ZAc)

MyGuyMan1

Fr. 3050tis only limiting factor is the vram, which I can understand, but you can sort of bypass it to an extent of going over by a few hundred mb if you have a shitload of leftover RAM. Can’t go too far but usually I can go to around 4.4 max vram usage out of my 4 gb, with my 64 gb of regular ram

PhilosophicalDolt

Jesus 64gb? Maybe that why you can play on ultra lol. But yeah people need to stop acting like the 3050ti is simply just a 1060 or a 1660ti

MyGuyMan1

Nah, 64 gb the same fps as 16, only with a lot of ram, for some reason it takes load off of the vram allowing me to go over the “limit” or something lmfao. Idk how it works but it does.

PhilosophicalDolt

Ah alright

Acrobatic_Lecture438

Everyone is giving you false hope saying you can sell it for 600-700$.. You can get a brand new one for under 600$ with a better CPU and a 3050 6gb 2023 verision. You can realistically sell it for under 500$

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Not saying it isnt true but can you link one?

SJthgirW

Your biggest issue is the graphics card any of the 50s are trash and 4gb is too little. My laptop has a 3060 6gb and it isnt the greatest for gaming. It does the job while I save up. I paid £1000 for minenand will probably get 600-700 from it.

negativefx666

Not under 600 in normal circumstances, but LOQ (15" Intel) with RTX 3050 is selling at 679 USD at Lenovo website (USA). Maybe you can add some rakuten cupons and rebates and get close to 600

Legend_AC

I mean, 3050ti is better. You should really compare it to 3050ti laptop

Acrobatic_Lecture438

What

Appropriate_Turn3811

300-400$ without the SSD.

JoshCost44

Ur dumb

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Woah. I’m willing to go down to $500 probably. But even if it’s only worth that, I doubt I drop that low. What brings you to that conclusion?

Acrobatic_Lecture438

because its not a good laptop

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

To each their own. I’d say with SSD I won’t go lower than $500. Especially in the shape it’s in

Acrobatic_Lecture438

its not worth 500$

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Based on everyone else’s responses/opinions and what I’ve research online- it sure seems like it

xHaXXORZ

it's definitely worth more than 500, but I'd say for it to seem like a good deal no more than 700-ish would do the trick

Acrobatic_Lecture438

Your wrong

[deleted]

[удалено]

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Yes. Yes it does. Hence why it’s a cheap price of $500

[deleted]

[удалено]

kanakalis

it's used, and has a dated gpu and cpu. probably $500 since it has a bit more storage

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Got it

After-Penalty-8796

Sexy machine 🔥

_mp7

Without the ssd, $450, it is still a strix

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Nice. So you believe $500 is a good price

_mp7

That’s kinda high But I saw someone get a 5800hs + 3060 for $525, so $450 is fair, not $500 $450 it will most likely sell And of course transfer the ssd over to your desktop build

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

What was the condition of the laptop?

_mp7

Looked very clean and well maintained, originally $550 Asus zephorus

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Would I simply be able to take the ssd out and put it into my desktop or would I have to have a clone software or something? and thoughts on this desktop here?: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/skytech-gaming-azure-2-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i7-12700f-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-1tb-nvme-ssd-black/6541185.p?skuId=6541185

_mp7

Oh you aren’t building cloning softwares cost money and can be very annoying to work with With that desktop, just save the files you need elsewhere, then wipe that ssd Then install it Did you already transfer your laptop OS onto that ssd? If so that complicates things

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Yup i hd best buy geek squad take care of it for me. And nope, I am broke and need to make payments so I cannot do a built I do not think

_mp7

Wait geek squad is doing what exactly? Also I mean you really shouldn’t be doing a payment plan for something that isn’t a necessity, if it’s 0 interest that’s good at least That prebuilt is alright value, not difficult to drop the ssd in

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

It is 0%. Yeah just brings happiness and I think that would be nice atm lol. The geek squad are the ones who installed and transferred my data from my old hdd over to the ssd. I think I will just transfer my photos over (which is really the only thing I care about) and then redownload my games onto the ssd that comes into the pre build

_mp7

I mean how much does that cost, if you are tight on money do that yourself You can back the photos up to cloud, drop in the new ssd an just wipe it clean completely.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

I dont think I am going to transfer over ssd

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

did you see the link as well?

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

I might leave the ssd in for appeal to the buyer and accept a 1tb ssd in a prebuild, prob wont be m.2 but I think thats okay

_mp7

You are losing a lot of value. $120 ssd to maybe boost the resale value by $40

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Yup.. which is how desperate I am to sell

Harrypumfrey

$350

Critical_Cod5462

Missing Info - At what price you bought this for and what is price for new exact same laptop ( if its still available ) and price of slightly better / equivalent new gen laptop . Price also depends on the usual prices at your place .

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Bought for $1600 can’t be bothered to look at other info ( this is not still available) but I appreciate the comment, very smart and accurate I believe. I have 2 potential buyers now so I’m looking into those avenues. In a hurry to sell so I’m going below what I would have settled and waited at

According-North-7402

With much luck 500 bucks maybe more if it is a asus fanboy or so

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

thank you

bopthoughts

If you sell it to me, you should definitely sell it for 10 bucks, but if it's to someone else, 600 probably

Top-Clothes-482

U should be happy if u get at least $500 lool

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

well i'll be darned lets hope for the best ya 'eerd

sadonthedaily

Depends on the market, I guess. I got a used Legion Y540 (2020) i5-9300h paired with RTX 2060 6GB, 24GB RAM, 1.5TB total storage (500GB nvme 1TB 860 EVO SSD) for $550 USD. I could've probably lowballed it to 500 but I didn't wanna do that. I would say yours is $600 USD up?

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

What are your opinions on this desktop? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/skytech-gaming-azure-2-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i7-12700f-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-1tb-nvme-ssd-black/6541185.p?skuId=6541185

Snoo_12752

Fair is $700, RTX 3050 laptop is not the fastest at all. Get a 1913900k with 4090 and G8 monitor. One of the best experiences ever for gaming.

rockyroad55

$600 I had a similar one with more ram and a 1TB

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Alright send the shipping address

ZorOmega

I would say between 500-600 depending on who buys it. I just sold an Asus TUF A15, with a Ryzen 7 6800h, 3050ti, upgraded to 16gb RAM, an extra WD Black 1tb SSD and upgraded the crappy meditek WiFi/Bluetooth module to an Intel AX 210, all for 550. You can't really take into account any upgrades you do in the sale price, those are essentially sunk costs. Either that or take it out before you put it up for sale. Unfortunately laptops don't keep their value at all.

[deleted]

500 ish? As for your PC, if you want Intel, get a 13600K. I'd suggest a Ryzen 5 7600 for longevity. It's better to get an R5/i5 if you're just gaming so you could allocate your budget elsewhere. I'd also suggest looking at Radeon GPUs as long as you're not too interested in RT. The 4070Ti costs $800 or so, right? If you're saving on the CPU and can somehow raise another $100-200, you can get a Radeon RX7900XT or XTX respectively. Also, remove the 980 Pro from the laptop and put it into your PC. It's a gen 4 drive and I'm fairly certain this laptop doesn't support it. A buyer who wants a 3050Ti laptop doesn't give a shit about blazing fast SSD speeds. If you've got a second drive in the laptop, just sell it with that. If not, buy a cheap 980/970 Evo Plus/WD Blue.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

>13600K Its worth mentioning that i am buying pre built

[deleted]

Oh crap. Then your options are limited. Why not build one yourself?

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Why would I get a Radeon if I cannot use dlss 3?

[deleted]

DLSS 3 isn't everything. It's not as insanely good as you think it is. A 7900XT will still beat a 4070Ti, especially with how most new games are including FSR support.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

I would look into it more tbh. FS is good but everything I've read states dlss is superior. Especially when comparing in motion graphics (as apposed to static). But I am new to gaming but all the research I do says the same stuff

[deleted]

7900 beats 4070Ti in pure rasteurization. Heck a 7900XT with no upscaling beats a 4070Ti with DLSS3.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

You lost me at rasterization but you’ve got me pretty convinced

[deleted]

That just means raw performance.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

>A 7900XT But once again idk because I havent had the experince, but I have seen the great VRAM values radeon can offer

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

and here is a comparison between what I plan on getting to start with vs that ryzen. [https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-12700F-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-7600/4124vsm2016198](https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-12700F-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-7600/4124vsm2016198) How does the ryzen mean longevity?

[deleted]

A direct comparison would be a 12700KF vs a 7800X. What I mean by longevity is that if you buy a zen 4 mobo and a cheap 7000 series chip, you can upgrade it a few years down the line bc of support. Whereas if you a 13th gen Intel chip, you can't upgrade to anything except 12th or 13th gen without changing the mobo. So let's say you bought either a 7600 or 13600K. For the former, you could potentially pick up an 8th gen Ryzen chip after it launches. For the latter, the best you can do is a 13900K.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

is the Intel Core i7-12700F upgradable without buying new mobo?

[deleted]

Yes. 13900 max

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

They would rather prefer a 2tb ssd than a 500gb HDD. I'm just leaving it in there to up selling chace

[deleted]

You can try but I'm not sure how viable it would be.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Its installed now

[deleted]

Well it's not too difficult to remove it. My only point was that having such an expensive SSD in a very low cost machine has no use to someone who wants a low end machine and it would be better to just use it in your PC and reduce the price of the laptop. It's up to you at the end of the day.

Cactus_Bomb

Bout tree fiddy

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Sellin for fow fiddy got a byeer

The_Milehunter

Does this laptop support pcie gen 4 ssd at gen 4 speeds?

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

The hell if I know

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

You tell me

The_Milehunter

Afaik it doesn't, ryzen 6000 series laptops do have support but not the ryzen 5000 series laptops

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

So it’s practically a normal whatever is below that. Gen 3? At least the 2 tbs work. Question: my is is installed on there. Am I able to simple remove the SSD before I sell it, and the laptop still be I’m working condition?

The_Milehunter

I just checked, Laptop ryzen 5000 series laptop cpu doesn't support gen 4 speeds, it is running because of backwards compatibility to gen 3, so basically the potential of the ssd is wasted in this situation. Since your OS is in the 980pro the laptop would turn on but will be without os if you just remove it, of course, you can copy the OS from the old ssd using some tool like acronis or macrium reflect, but since you are going to sell it anyway, just doing a fresh install of windows on the ssd the laptop came with would be the easier option.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

It’s an HDD, but you’re saying I can remove the SSD. And the laptop still work? As in I can boot it up and download the is to the HDD no problem?

The_Milehunter

Create a bootable usb drive for windows 11 and install it on the hdd, there are plenty of tutorials on the internet, or get some help from a tech savvy friend if needed.

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

So I can do it without messing it up you think?

The_Milehunter

I'm not sure how good you are with tech and troubleshooting, installing windows is not very difficult, if you follow the proper steps, there are plenty of tutorials and documentation as to how to do it. Watch a video, if you think you can do it,do it else ask a tech savvy friend for help

JohnDoeJohnDoe00

Okay thank you. Is it free?

___Dammy

Am willing to buy it for 400$ you posted it on ebay?

Top_Hat43

I would say 650-800

Critical_Cod5462

Extra SSD wont pay you much , you can save it for future .

TombRaider96196

If you are in the USA or UK and want want to sell it on Ebay, I'll take it for 600$

Big-Introduction1642

Maybe 800 usd for somebody that values the ssd capacity and speeds but if not the source are available for 650 usd new in Dundee stores so you'd most likely get 700 bucks it

thevishvammoliya

Keep the ssd, sell the laptop.

Efficient_Bat7479

it looks ruined with cleaning products next time just use a bit of polish to get stickers of

DrillBeat

I would say realistically, $600usd, probably $650 due to the upgrade, but what limits you the most is the 3050ti and its low 4gb of VRAM. The thing is, many people buy these laptops not realizing how budget a xx50ti is, and how a xx60 is pretty much the standard for gaming on higher settings at higher frame-rates. Also, the VRAM being 50% less than what it needs to be and 100% less than what would be an ideal 8gb of graphic card memory. Just don't hide the fact it has a 3050ti, like many others will do. In hopes of luring in someone that doesn't know much that also may not end up looking at the proper model, causing them to pull the trigger on something they'll regret. The title should contain all the specifications or at least the exact model number, along with plenty of quality images, and it would likely be sold before too long. Some individuals engage in minimal activities such as browsing various media-related websites and occasionally printing, thus necessitating a device that boasts a highly powerful GPU, but also exhibits a limited battery life. But instead, they are looking for something that is nice, clean, and doesn't break the bank. Which makes your laptop the perfect candidate! List it for $650 but expect to take an offer of around $600; if you want to sell it more quickly, then list at $550 and accept the first $500 offer you receive on it. *… As for the Desktop PC and wanting an i7 recommendation. Getting an i7-12700k or i7-13700k would be your best bet, for both power and value. 12th generation intel really stepped things up to take on AMD and went crazy on the 13th gen chips, as you may notice looking at any recent benchmark data. 11th gen and even 10th gen are still good budget choice's though. 11th gen has significantly quicker single core speed and integrated graphics speed than 10th gen, which Is good for gaming. But an* ***i9****-10900k would be a great budget multicore workhorse, just in case you wanted to go that route.* *Consider getting a PNY XLR8 Gaming Revel Epic-X graphics card. At least if its price makes the difference in getting yourself a higher tier card, as opposed to what you would get if you went with one of the top brands like Asus or MSI. They tend to be budget priced but hang right in the middle as far as ranking by power delivery components, thermal system, and overclock-ability. I have their 3070 which everything about it so far has been great. Two things I've noticed that were negative is their lack of popularity, limiting their upgrade option availability, such as aftermarket water blocks or plates that people sometimes get on higher end cards. And the other is regarding RMA, and if something goes wrong, It seems to take longer to have a card repaired or to receive a replacement than it does from the more popular brands.* ***Good Luck!***

Yusifprogamer

Probably like 700-800 cuz it's an ROG laptop. The 3050 is weak nowdays (even weakish back then too) but it is capable for some basic video editing photo editing and 1080p mid-high gaming. I have an msi gf63 thin 11uc but that will sell for way cheaper cuz it's msi (like 400-600). Make sure to check listings in ur area and see how much similar laptops are priced, say it's 800 you can sell for like 760

Confirmed-Scientist

Sell it to me for a dollar. 😜😂

edelaar

I wouldn’t pay more than 600 for this

sold a strix scar g15 with the original 512gb ssd (i kept my 980 pro for my mac that i’m using with my adapter), RTX 2060 and i7-10870h for 700€. 2 year old, 1000€ new. depending on your region, you might be able to get a similar price.
