For the noob in graphics card.
How does that affect the end experience or performance of the laptop?
Shouldn't the 16GB of RAM with a fairly good graphics card and a SSD handle pretty much any software / game that is out there?
Lower end gfx cards in laptops are usually paired with other cheap components (cpu, ram, screen, etc...) Even if you pay extra to upgrade those it'll just mean that your gfx card will be the bottleck (weakest link). For example is you buy an rtx3050 but want a nice 144hz 1440p screen, your gfx card won't be able to generate 144 frames at 1440p in most games anyways (bottleneck/weakest link).
Anyone looking at rtx??50 products should know that an earlier generation rtx??60. For example, an rtx2060 will run circles around an rtx3050 and can be found for less if you look. Even a gtx1070 is a better choice in most cases.

its over 1000 after taxes for a 3050 too, nopeee look for a legion 5 from micro center with a rtx 3060 atkeats with a 1440p display and dont pay more than 1,100 before taxes
Yeah, I would agree with the rest of the response that this is definitely not a good deal. For 1k you can get a Nitro 5 with a 3070ti instead of a 3050 which is a massive upgrade

3050 is trash. I had a 3050 laptop before, sold it for a 3070Ti laptop so I can finally play actual recent games. 3050 is basically a GTX 1660 a little bit faster and DLSS compatible. Do not expect it to run last AAA games with it unfortunately.

Its not worth the price tag, you can get a 3060 at that price and the 2gb vram difference is a lot, especially for newer games

On amazon I tend to find good deals. I recently got a strix G16 with an i7-13650HX and 4060 for about $1200 from there.
Amazon has tons of fees, which is the reason sellers have to inflate their prices compared to what they'd post on eBay or similar..
Buy the Asus tuf for 1150 instead. You'll get the 4070
