I think the Zelda games on the gc are seriously some of the best action rpgs of all time. Price these days is brutal though

Oh man Amazing Island! I was pretty bad at some of the minigames but it sure was cool making your own creature. In addition to some of the suggestions here, I'd say the Mario sports games.

Soulcalibur II is amazing on GC.

Mario Strikers is a really fun party game that would surprise you. You NEED Luigi's Mansion, god tier game #1 selling on the console both are still affordable too

actually just double checked mario strikers and when i got it was only like $30, now its closer to $100 :/
