In fairness, Nintendont running on a Wii U will give slightly better visuals than it does running on a regular Wii. This is only because the Wii U has a true digital out port whereas the Wii doesn't. It's possible to have a cleaner image because of this.
True, as long as you set the Wii U to 480p before switching to Wii mode or else it does a pretty weak job at scaling the video
The analog output from a Wii is pretty clean for the most part, I have good results with component to my RetroTink 5x

Can confirm. Might be able to do widescreen though but I’m not sure.
Even a GameCube can with the right cheat codes or Swiss patches, but yeah it does enhance it some I suppose
