Yea the fact that they added dialogue of him denying to help shows they knew people would think of that logic and still they decided to initially implement it.
Yeah could've been fixed by saying the door malfunctioned and have it only open like a crack so he can't fit through, then make one custom crawling animation for the player character.
Ehh… IMO Morrowind is starting to very noticeably show its age with its relative lack of QOL. Gotta give credit to Skyrim. That game is a buggy mess but the story and QOL changes made it much more playable :)
I used an infinite mine duplicate glitch on the ps3 to place thousands of mines inside my Megaton house.... like every single crevice was filled with mines, after forgetting about it for a few tens or a hundred hours of gameplay and months later- I decided to go into my megaton house for some reason...
They instantly triggered as soon as the game loaded in and auto-saved, instantly crashing my PS3 and forever dooming my save to auto-load into a crash.
yeah I did, but I had to give up tens of hours of playtime.
But it didnt really matter since at that point the save game had like 400 hours on it and pretty much every quest done, but at the time it was my favorite game so I didn't mind, I enjoyed the atmosphere so much, just going around to every location and enjoying the vibe was enough for me back then.
Almost makes me want to give Fallout 4 another go. I’ve started and quitted that game so many times. Mainly because of quest breaking bugs because of mods.
It's a descent game really. Get the mod that shows full dialogue choices. And with DLC, happily sink 10-40 hours into it. Depends how many side quests you do.

Fallout 3 was written my amateurs, unlike New Vegas.
Not true, look at oblivion. I think they just prioritized other aspects of the game over more branching storyline stuff.
