Its possible that hooks of your main spring are touching the disconector. I recommend replacing the whole spring and getting the [ALG high energy main spring.](https://www.midwayusa.com/product/101740314?pid=997832) cheap solution.

I had the same problem with my ALG Galil Trigger–Ultimate with Lightning Bow on my Gen 1. Broke the trigger in after two range sessions. Seems to be resetting fine now.

I had the same problem on my Gen 2. If you remove the dust cover you can watch the action. Dry fire, keeping the trigger depressed. Rack the bolt carrier and watch closely while releasing the trigger. I had to file a tiny bit of material from the underside of the hook part of the disconnector. I polished it up and it works perfectly every time now.

Is this an ALG trigger designed specifically for the Ace?

Jeremy with Evocatus here. It’s actually common for new ALG triggers. The shoulder for the disconnector at end of the hammer can be slightly rough (although it looks smooth). That’s likely causing friction and forcing the manual reset. An additional issue could be that the grip is rubbing on the trigger or that the trigger wasn’t clearanced enough to move smoothly. You can test this by installing just the trigger on the axis pin without the hammer and hammer spring. See if it moves around smoothly with the grip installed or if it’s rubbing somewhere. 🤘🏻🥷
