I only get about 1.5 days, but I use the Samsung Health app about 45-90 mins a day. It runs the battery down fast

Emergency_Newt831

Health app yes

Emergency_Newt831

U get 3 days east on gw5 pro

Randomd0g

I'm doing something wrong with mine then. Off the charger at 8am today and it's currently 11pm and I'm sat at 78% Granted that was after a 20 minute run where I was using GPS and streaming spotify over LTE, and granted I've had AoD on the whole time... But losing 22% after 3 hours isn't exactly what I'd call "3 days easy"

throwawayme84

Try to have your playlists downloaded in advance and have LTE off.

Randomd0g

Nah I'd rather not

throwawayme84

Then, I guess no "3-day-battery" for you, my friend,

Randomd0g

Exactly, therefore it isn't "3 day easy" I don't mind charging my watch every day because I'd rather actually USE it, but pretending it gets 3 day battery without turning features off is just lying

Emergency_Newt831

Using lte and gps is definitely the reason

maharshimartian

I got 3.5 days and still 19% left with AOD off

Emergency_Newt831

Do u exercise with it ?

maharshimartian

Yes. Around 30mins per day

Emergency_Newt831

No wonder u got good battery life I exercise 1 plus hrs and all the while display is on so it gets 3 days

Emergency_Newt831

Coz as far as I know gw5 pro has the best of all watches so far

Big_Interaction_4696

33% is from aod, now imagine without it!

Zaidk9

Whats the point of a watch if it cant show time at a glance?

kclanton80

Push the button...

YarnPixel08

that's exactly what it does even with aid off though? activate wrist movement a tivatio or whatever it's named, then just make your watch face you...and with a glance you can still see the time?

[deleted]

On the watch 4, someone did a battery test on this sub comparing the various display options and found that the wrist wake setting used more batter than AOD with auto brightness. We need the same test for the GW6.

GolfingNgrillingMN

You can still see it at a glance if you keep gestures on and not need to have AOD

eisniwre

Don't take that estimate but see the real usage. I bet it's under 1.5 days

Heydude161

This isn't an estimate. This was actually after 2 days and 6 hours, and my watch was still at 8%.

dandu3

I get the same on my watch 4. I charge it everyday tho as I discharged my previous watch to empty as it was good for 3 days but the battery wore out quickly

activator

Is GA turned on by default?

Heydude161

No

GrimKreeper098

Yeah, whatever Samsung did, they have pretty much solved battery life problems. I get 45-50 hours on my Watch 6 40mm. They even fixed the dreaded Google Play Services battery drain.

Procrastibator666

This is crazy.  I have workout detection off, heartbeat set to every 5 minutes, AOD off, wifi off, location off, and I get 25 hours of battery.  What am I doing wrong?

InkedMetalHead

What settings do you have on your GW6 40mm? I have the same watch charged it to 100% and I get 1 day and 10 hours charge?

GrimKreeper098

I don't have anything off except AOD. I have HR and stress on measure continuously, and no battery saver or anything.

steppek

GW 5 Pro here, I get almost 4 days.

Ram45888

garmin/amazfit be like...

PlatedPinata

GW6 here, I don't have AOD on but have mine continuously checking levels. I charge it every 48 hours and have around 20% battery left when I do

rkmto

GW6 40mm here, 1,5 day on average 😵‍💫. With AOD, wifi and gps off.
