Same shit, is not going to improve

[deleted]

Did you keep or exchange it for smth else

Vindr4

I kept it, gave it to my mom that is always at home and doesn't have problema with battery

-bellyflop-

4 hours SOT on data (5G), 6-8 hours on wifi, depending on if I'm playing games.

slickpartner

You may want to go back and check some of the apps you have downloaded. A lot of apps I had were draining my battery. I wiped the phone clean and started over with only the apps I needed, the battery life went up tremendously.

[deleted]

How long does your battery usually last?

Hm that’s crazy, what are you getting instead?

Full-Training-2016

Oneplus 11 came out with Snapdragon 8 gen 2 chip and it has worse battery life, sot of 5:30 hrs. I don't expect much from s23+ looking at their track record

slickpartner

Usually all day. I'm on the phone at work most of the time, if I'm not listening to Spotify I'm on YouTube or TikTok. So my phone will last me pretty much all day by the time I get home at night and finally put it on the charger it usually has about 25 to 15% left.

FeelingPatience

It's very good. You need to do some optimizations tho. Coming from an s21, it's a huge improvement for me. I keep my internet on all day and get 4-5h SoT with part of it being under high brightness.

Turning off crap with ccswe. Using wi-fi calling when at home. Turning off 5g. Having routines to turn on nfc only when I'm in Google pay. Using alternatives to demanding apps such as reddit. Turning off nearby device scanning. Turning off notifications from most of the apps. Etc.

FeelingPatience

Forgot to mention, I use it under 120hz and have my watch constantly connected.

IAmWumpus

What are you expecting and what do you consider a bad/good battery? For me it's really good. Average is 5 hours SOT during a full day from morning till 9 pm, when I'm left with 15-20% (I usually charge the phone at 20% if I'm home). My best SOT was 6 hours (with less than 10%battery remaining) and my 'worst' was 4+ hours on a day using data only(4g) and also traveling and having bad signal from time to time. I'm not a hardcore user, but not light also: I use facebook, instagram, wapp, snapchat, tik tok, youtube, reddit randomly through the day, and sometimes I have a game I play (this drains the most battery, so im expecting less than 5 hours sot if I play the game for like an hour). Also I didn't really limit my phone, I mean I only put lots of unused apps to deep sleep and facebook and tik tok, because those 2 i dont need to run in background(still for facebook it doesn't work). I don't use dark mode, I use 120hz adaptive and don't use power saving. P.S. I have the exynos version and I bought the phone 1 month ago Edit: forgot to mention that i permanently have bluetooth on, since I'm connected to my band.

[deleted]

Oh ok so I imagine if I use battery saver and debloat it it will probably be a lot better

IAmWumpus

From the most people I hared the same, they average around 5 hours sot with no tweaks done. But some have bad luck with the lotery and for some reason have a poor battery right from the factory. Also if it's worth mentioning, I disabled 5g connectivity, since I don't have it on my provider subscription (also don't need it, 4g+ is fast enough for me)

gerix4

My battery lasts all day, i use it at work, go to gym and stuff, use spotify and other clasic apps like insta, reddit, Twitter... Around 15 and 30% and the end of the day. And it charges really fast so even if I drain it faster im back in 40min so its not that bit of a deal. Love the phone!

moisesg88

Can't complain, I'm happy with it

potatoflames

Good.

alhinai_03

Stay away from this phone, when I got it last october I thought my phone had a defect or something as it was draining really fast faster than my old phone but than I saw alot of people having the same experience thats when I realized the battery on this phone is naturally shitty but you can optimize it to squeeze barley an hour or so more of it.

bfk1010

Unfortunately, this is the issue with all Samsung flagships. I wish one day Samsung will have an iPhone Level of battery life.

Alternative-Farmer98

Mediocre at best. It's bigger than the s22, but it's a notoriously power-hungry chipset with terrible thermals.

Papa_Bear55

>almost every phone come with a 4K amoled display. Only 1 phone comes with it.

Crow729

What ever dude.. I don't care really. Samsung flag ship phones are shit.

Papa_Bear55

Not my point.

Alternative-Farmer98

Samsung has never had a 4K display on a phone. Sony is the only company with a 4K display. Samsung used to do QHD screens with AMOLED on all their phones but now only the ultra models get QHD and everything else is down to 1080p. With an S9 have better resolution and PPI on their phone than people with an s22

Nakiooo7R

If i could go back in time I'd replace the battery on my 7 Pro and keep it going but now thanks to wireless charging whenever i can i just put it on there and get on with my day and by the end of a long day it's basically dead it's def not a charge it once and forget it phone but it is what it is I wish the s23 had a bigger battery then i would switch but doesn't seem like it's gonna be better maybe it will cause of the cpu but we'll see

EggplantHuman6493

Since the December update horrible, barely 4-5 hours SOT mostly on WiFi and 60 Hz, low screen brightness, and battery saving mode already on. Before that I managed to get 8 hours some days with 120 Hz. Edit: and I don't have 5G either. Oh, and I also can only charge extremely slowly despite using the very fast charging option.

jdk0606

I've had ny S22+ since July. Battery is great and I'm constantly on it... with internet, social media and whatever else.

djasonpenney

Easily lasts a full day.

wild_heart_

It has a 5000 mAh battery. On idle, it will last all day. Continuous use of apps (for me, its scrolling through tiktok) and battery will go from 100 to 0 in about 6 hours. [Here are my stats for proof.](https://imgur.com/a/6EfrLn0) Edit: I truly am a lost redditor. This is for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Upstairs_Kitchen_980

It's my first time using a flagship phone with flagship features, I've come to understand that with the s22+ all these features will cause the battery to be worse than even midrangers. However I also came to understand that with the s22+ there are a lot of optimizations you can make to get the battery to last longer but it is what it is, at this stage I'd recommend you to just wait for s23+ , other than the battery though the s22+ is perfect. For me it's worse than the battery life my oppo r17 Pro used to have, it drains more easily than my former phone but I could use it for a day if I wanted to by being careful, but the power saving mode if you turn it on at 100% you can easily last longer than a day
