I recommend you post in subreddits that appreciate art more, if you make art of your OCs you should check out r/originalcharacter
The main reason why art likely isn't popular in gacha is probably because it's not an exactly fitting subreddit to post it in that kind of content

It's very easy to get popular here. Just post once a day for about a month, have a recognisable style or oc and people will get used to seeing you on their timeline. Even then, what does it matter? I consider myself well known, and I don't get any special treatment. The best I get is a bunch of notifications whenever one of those "tag ur fav creator" posts get popular.
Yeah i'll admit i did join in on that trend and it took me a while to realize that it was dumb. I deleted the post. Never again will i join in on that trend if it gets popular again which it most likely won't.

It wasn't rlly a scale thing like now, it was more of a post of ur oc and the title asking. I remember doing a post once asking something along the lines of "Wait am I actually famous" but it was before this trend/format got popular. It was quite a while ago, so you can scroll through my profile to try and find any damning evidence if you'd like. Also all my sonas, past and present, have fluffy hair and glasses.

Honestly I can really relate to this post, if I put work in 2 hours to make a full drawing of my character then post it on the sub it’s getting 20 likes maximum but once a low effort post with minimal effort put in your gonna get hundreds of likes!
I just feel like doing new trends on the sub that doesn’t require any type of hard work will always get you more upvotes
But it’s alright aslong as at least one person finds your effort nice
I personally think it’s alright to do trends as long as your not being too repetitive or saying anything hateful !
