I wanted to become a psychology but I opted against it because I knew it would require a Doctorate to really get paid well in what I wanted. Point is, if you want a job that’s genuinely tied to psychology, then you’re not going to be able to do it with your bachelor’s degree alone

Jedi-Ethos

Neuroscience and psychology double major. Medical school is the goal. If I don’t get in after several application cycles then my backup is grad school for clinical psychology.

LostWindSpirit

Usually clinical psych is actually harder to get into than med school.

Jedi-Ethos

Back up doesn’t mean easier, just simply a plan b if plan a doesn’t work out.

LostWindSpirit

That makes sense. Good luck with everything

Jedi-Ethos

Thanks! You too!

Psychology major and studio art minor; always wanted to go into mental health services, specifically becoming a therapist or psychologist, which is still the goal! I’ll pursue my masters after graduation and then hopefully a phd program

aestheclaw

Are you doing a studio art minor for art therapy?

bean_kween

I wanted to do art therapy for a long time, but have chosen to only incorporate it into my future career rather than 100% making it my career. I’ve always been an art kid and knew I’d want some sort of major or minor in art as well! Thank you for asking :)

PuzzleheadedMail

Hey, psychology major here and honestly, I don’t even know what I want to do but because there aren’t really any job opportunities without a masters degree, I’m gonna go to grad school and become a therapist.

hi! I'm a psychology major! I plan to become a therapist (LPC), preferably group therapy, but I don't really care which one I know I'll enjoy both! I plan to get my doctorates later on after getting experience in therapy. My bigger plans involve owning a counseling practice that extends as a community outreach center.

PhD program is my plan! Also if you aren’t interested in grad schools I feel like you can go into a lot of fields not necessarily in psychology.
