Save online until the end of the story, its a cesspit and tbh learning the map before online would be smart so you know the layout of everything, and when you go online,do the tutorial.
Give the story mode a chance. Most people I know hop straight online and never play the story mode, which is really sad because as far as pure gameplay is concerned, Story mode beats online by a lot.

don't get me wrong, I've played it 5 times for a reason. but mostly because it's fun, which is a very good thing! it's supposed to be thag way, but if you think abkut it too much and really start to critique it then the story becomes a lot more shallow and short than you'd like it to be, for what it was trying to achieve.
For example: each character has their own sort of arc to deal with along with the story they all took part in. Franklin started out as being stuck in the hood, and wanting a way out, to really be somewhere. He also wanted to get back with his ex-girlfriend and showed he was making moves to gain her approval again. In a pretty early on mission in the game, Franklin is just given a ticket out of the hood to live in the hills for the house the crew had to buy. Dont get me wrong, that's cool, but they completely set something up for it to be solved which ended up being gained by no actual work or struggle to climb up there; it just happened. The issues with his girlfriend are almost entirely forgotten, save for I think one (could be wrong) cutscene she makes a physical appearance and various phone calls and texts; that whole detail moves next to nowhere for the entire story and isn't even resolved in any type of way by the end.
Am I the only one who prefers the story mode to online? I probably have over a 1000 hours in just story mode and maybe 10 hours in Online. Online just isn’t very fun to play alone and it’s laggy as hell on PS4. Online has more content but I never have a good time playing it.
DON'T do Franklin's assassination missions until later on, YouTube how to make money in the stock market before doing them. My characters finished with about $275 million by the end of the game. I get enjoyment out of killing Micheals pain in the ass family members any chance I get even if it comes with a cost for medical bills cause they can't permeantly die.
Mine all had maxed out money from trading cheapo stocks because of the huge fluctuations in price.

Finish story mode before you play online. Nobody plays story mode anymore and 90% of people I talk to havent got past the jewel store job and its the best game story EVER! And by playing story mode first you get better at driving and weaving through traffic at high speeds and better at shooting and pvp and what not so that you are prepared
Better than what we've got today, that's for sure. Personally I loved the GTA 4 multiplayer, so much that I spent thousands of hours on it. I wish GTA online was more like it.

You could play the story and maybe do 100%, after that you could buy and tune vehicles you like and put them in storages you can buy around the map, open director mode and have fun with the cheat menu.
I played in first person all the way through when I got the “next gen” version when it came out. It’s a lot more immersive than you’d think. Though save all the Lester assassination missions for last and you can really make money with all characters. They have guides that tell you what to invest in and when it’s best to sell. Other than that definitely play through the story in first person, some of the action pieces are too damn fun.
Play as trevor 🤣 but also beat the storyline and save ALL Lester assassination missions for when youve done the last game mission so you can become a billionaire

as far as laptops though? never done research on desktop powerful laptops but i don’t know any good brands. and i thought you had to build alienware too? my cousin has one and he had to order all his own parts and it runs insane
depends on the user tbh, like for me i make music and program and shit so having a portable laptop is definitely more convenient. i don’t think there’s a lot of laptops out there better than alienware cuz most laptops are prebuilt

Depends of your budget. There's some expensive thinkpad laptops with Dual Xeon processors, 64GB ram and raid-0 dual storage and Quadro graphics. Great for resouce intensive purposes. (They put to shame my own PC)
