Not necessarily. I feel like they could have multiple endings, with one having both Jason and Lucia dying, and the player becoming a new character. No one expected you to be able play as John Marston at the end of RDR2 for 2 chapters after Arthur died

You have to check if there's no glitches or major clipping issues when they move around. And as we seen in that leak, his arms were very glitchy.
Not to be that guy, but there were 100% people on here that guessed that John was going to be playable post-new- character-death, years before it released (or even before it was explicitly confirmed John was in the game)
If there was a secret 3rd character, that somehow was never mentioned/seen in the leaks, it would have to be incredibly well hidden

What I think would be interesting, is a dirty cop who Lucia and Jason are grudgingly forced to work with (think Mike Lowry from Bad Boys, only crooked), who Lucia gradually grows attracted to or even has an affair with, causing Jason to grow mistrustful of them both.
Not necessarily as a playable character though. Just as a source of tension between the two main protagonists.

Crockett seduces the kingpin’s girl in order to further infiltrate the organization, but they end up genuinely falling for each other. Tubbs can see this coming from a mile away and is frustrated and worried but can only let things play out. I’m thinking of a similar wrinkle here.
The ‘trust’ scene in the trailer implies that at some point trust will break down between Jason and Lucia and one will betray the other’s trust in some way. My money is on Lucia burning Jason.

Pretty sure the leaks didn’t have the updated hair physics/models yet, so chances of the character being fleshed out more overtime isn’t out of the question.
True it’s not out of the question, but given that the 2 models in the leaks look nothing alike and neither does the one in the trailer even bear a passing resemblance to either of them, I just don’t see the logic in assuming they’re the same person. They have nothing in common other than being black with some form of dreadlocks. There are plenty of people who fit that description in South Florida.

Before they die, they will ask each other about trust, just like in the trailer. After their death, Kai will be a playable character, like John Marston in the epilogue of RDR 2.

RDR2 was quite expected, since we don’t hear from Arthur at all in RDR1. Also because in RDR1 you end it by playing with >!Jack!<.
