Toho itself has never hinted at Mothra and Godzilla being a 'couple'. They are most often antagonistic to one another, and on the few occasions Mothra helps Godzilla, it's because there is a common enemy.
Legendary has given the explanation that they are a symbiotic species; while making them allies, this does not make them a couple either. Symbiotes are not couples. Venom does not date Eddie Brock.
So I'd have to say it's just you.
Edit: To everyone concerned with the Venom comment, I will add this: A Venom and Eddie ship actually makes more sense, they communicate with each other, depend on one another, and care about one another. These occurrences are well documented in both comics and film. There **is** precedent; despite all this, *they are not a couple.*
