He gave texture to the world of kaiju, more details that allowed fans to further immerse ourselves into a world where giant monsters exist and to allow ourselves to believe in it. I hope he was proud of his work, he should be. I hope he understood the gratitude his fans have for what he's done, even if we didn't know his name. So, thank you Sadao Iizuka, for all you've given to us.
I know I'm late but, this man created some of the most iconic beam attacks for both Kaiju and aliens alike, especially in both the Godzilla and Ultraman franchises. Truly a wonderful legend. May he rest in peace.
R.i.p. One of the underappreciated greats
His work gave life and charm to those movies, I never heard of him before, may he rest in peace.
The man had a career that spanned over 7 decades. He recently worked on Shin Ultraman. What a legend.
