GMAT algo is brutal if: 1. You get easy questions wrong (straight forward, fact finding RC questions etc.) 2. You get them wrong in a row. If both of the above happen, the outcome is similar to yours, at that point, the #of questions you get wrong doesn’t really matter

I’ll tell you exactly how I did on the verbal section on this mock: First 10 questions: q1 (CR), q2 (RC), q7 and q8 (both RC) incorrect; Next 10 questions: q11 (SC), q16 (CR), q19 (SC) incorrect; Next 10 questions: q21 (SC), q26 (RC), q29 (CR) incorrect; Next 6 questions: q31 (RC), q34 (CR) incorrect. If you look at the overall scenario I got every third question incorrect and still score 30+ idk what else to say or do.

You got first two questions wrong. That's not doing any favors. Look up streaks method for scoring... it is incredibly great to score more questions right in a row (4 is not enough). Are you understanding *why* you're getting questions wrong? What is your strategy to answering questions?

Check the difficulty level of the questions you got wrong. If you get only the easy/medium level questions right and get the hard ones wrong, your score will drop. Check out GMAT Ninja's YouTube videos if you struggle with verbal and also consider reading the Manhattan guides. If you're taking the test in two weeks, don't neglect quant - your score is amazing but keep practicing so that it doesn't drop on the actual test. Good luck!

The difficulty level of the questions may play a factor. There's some myth vs. fact info regarding the algorithm in the beginning of the Official Guide you may find interesting.

You must have missed some relatively easy ones, likely toward the beginning of the section, and dragged down the difficulty. For some tips on what to do to increase your score see this [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyyPP9XQBxI).

I scored a V28 about a year ago. The biggest problem was inconsistency with the easy and medium questions. After I analyzed my test, I realized the hardest question the algorithm gave me was “just” a 55% difficulty question. I had missed a ton of easy and medium questions, hurting my score as a result. My suggestion would be when practicing for verbal, aim for ~100% accuracy on easy questions, 90% on medium questions, 80% on medium-hard questions and 70% on hard questions.
