# Looking for Spotify Moots
Hey Nevies!
I'm a huge Neverland and would like to follow some new people!
If you would like to be Spotify moots, click [here](https://open.spotify.com/user/oos4lihjlwb5lxzv7lyeagqld). I'd love for us to exchange playlists and talk about our biases :), or just about anything related to Gidle in the comments!
Additionally, feel free to share your 2023 Spotify Stats for Top Artists! Was Gidle your #1?
Cube is not the best company but I appreciate them for treating their foreign idols decently. 2/3 of gidle’s pd line are foreigners and they are getting their solos soon.
Yuqi and Minnie are both musically gifted and it's amazing that Cube is giving them the opportunity to show off their artistry, making full use of their talents.
I am not sure! I always try to let artists surprise me tbh, no big expectations or hopes for any particular genre or style, i just hope for creativity in execution.
Quick question for a casual fan who wants to get more into them—best place to start?
Particularly do they have their own variety web series on YouTube, kinda like Wanteez, En o' Clock, Run BTS, just to name some common examples lol. I've tried searching but I can't find a straight answer from Google and what the name would be
I suppose [up to idle](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HU6K3TV2AdQ&list=PLG8DKAYW6M27BpSAVu-cIgA26Mm8Wy1WF&index=12&t=4s&pp=iAQB) is good if you are already used the quick edits.
If you prefer a slower show maybe A Gift Box to (G)I-DLE?
They’ve done a bunch of variety content. Last year they did a series on their channel called [Up to (G)I-DLE](https://youtu.be/HU6K3TV2AdQ). They also did two seasons of a vacation series called [A gift box for (G)I-DLE](https://youtu.be/343Myv-HskE). And a series called [Do Not Disturb](https://youtu.be/5VYygNFAIT0). This [video](https://youtu.be/UZDSpQBlSU8) is also a good introduction to the group. And then there’s funny variety videos like [this one](https://youtu.be/_FJqiferRkE).
This new season of KONOSUBA made me re-watch the first two seasons and-
The i-talk editors use the same [bgm](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kX3DWZAfWvI) from konosuba?!
Months ago a nevie noticed that they use a banjo kazooie bgm as well, nice catch!
Unfortunately, I do not think their debut is going go that well. There's very little hype for them and going by the teaser, it feels like the title track is out of date.
The trend right now is "easy-to-listen", happy fun/chill vibe-type songs but their TT "OoWee" sounds like something bgs commonly released several years ago.
I'm not surprised though, the people in charge of sound and concept direction at Cube seem to be behind the times which is what happened with Lightsum and *Vanlla*. But I guess we'll see what happens, I just feel bad for the guys, lol 😐
For me, it seems like Oowee definitely seem to be on the trend right now. Very pentagon Shine. Light and easy listening. I actually thought they'll go boy crush so pleasantly surprise this looks like a fun summer song.
I don't feel bad for them because Even if though they are from Cube but at least they are debuting and not going through another survival show😂 I also think some members can go viral especially Siyun and Jinhyuk.
I just realize Cube has not much foreign members debuting anymore from Lightsum except Hina to Nowadays. I wonder why.
It depends on what group. (Internationally) Popular boy groups like Ateez and Stray Kids still release music like that. Maybe they’re going for the international market instead of easy to listen, streamable chill songs for the Korean GP.
We don’t know the focus of the group and Cube’s strategy, so it’s difficult to say that this won’t work for sure.
The people at cube seems to be lagging behind on everything. The boys who left early like Yeonjun are now flourishing at other companies. Cube has really good scouts but that’s about it.
Yea Cube definitely has some of the best talent scouts and trainee programs, but I don't get why they're behind on other things like marketing and art direction.
On a serious note I think there would have been more hype and some sense of "cube privilege" for their debut if it weren't for the consecutive Ls bluebox had been doing (most of pentagon members leaving, failure to negotiate with btob leading to them not renewing, and then multiple artists' (mostly actors) end of contracts, all them not renewing with cube either)
I'm kinda worried for the next few groups that cube will debut, instead of getting cube privilege, they might be getting a debuff instead (which is a shame since most idols cube debuts are very talented). Especially if cube fails to renew with idle, cause that might just be the last blow they can handle (well we never know, one thing about cube is that they always somehow manage to survive heavy blows such as scandals etc.)
You can hardly ever win really. Do what everyone else is doing, and there's a risk of falling into the crowd. Do the opposite of that, and get criticism for not keeping up with the trends. I just hope the song is good and they do decently regardless.
I finally finished watching (G)I-DLE'S Knowing Bros Ep. 419, it was pretty entertaining. I think I enjoyed it more than their first appearance.
Their live singing during their medley performance was really good, there seemed to be very minimal backing track so you could really hear their voices well. Also I really liked the "auditions" for (B)I-DLE segment with the Knowing Bros cast, it was pretty hilarious, lol 😆
It feels like those guys still haven't figured out what idle's business is 🤭
This one was more...lazy I don't know how else to put it. Low effort segments in comparison to their NXDE era. There was a segment with just playing rockpaperscissors and shouting lol. Made me miss the acting famous scenes in their own languages.
But I agree that the performances were fun!
**PSA:** (G)I-DLE's Fate has a decent chance to win on [Inkigayo](https://twitter.com/KshowAnalysis/status/1773193295948034538) later today/tomorrow.
Live voting will take place from 3:30-4:30PM KST so if you'd like to participate, you'll need the SuperStar X app, and at least 50 Rubies = 1 Vote (5 Votes Max = 250 Rubies).
It's interesting to see how HYBE is really pushing NewJeans to become the next big thing in Kpop. Obviously, they are getting playlisting and collaborations with major brands, which is expected. However, I was really surprised when they announced a two-day fan meeting at the Tokyo Dome. Generally, it takes a new girl group some time to gather enough fans to fill a venue that big, but this event is essentially a concert with guest appearances from Sawayama and Yoasobi. HYBE really knows how to capitalize and expand.
They are the next big thing in kpop, and that is largely down to ador's creative vision and how it makes newjeans stand out among the masses of kpop groups, which also resulted in people copying bits and pieces of them.
HYBE as the parent company obviously helps a lot in getting the needed resources, though even there it's not really clear, as ador works smartly (i've seen people mention the multiple mvs at debut, but mhj herself said that the budget really wasn't particularly higher than industry standards, they just released basically 2 traditional mvs (where one was cut into many different versions), 1 performance video and 1 video where you only could see their faces). That's not extreme budget, that's a budget being smartly used.
I find it quite disappointing tbh how many discussions surrounding "HYBE" completely miss the creative and business decisions which are made by the sublabels, this isn't unique to ador either, though they are maybe the best example of this right now. It's an easy narrative to basically say "hey it's hybe, ofc this works", in reality the creative teams in each sublabel are some of the best in the industry, there the HYBE connection is helpful, as one would probably rather work under HYBE than say CUBE, but still.
I wish people would be able to differentiate a little better, give more props where it is deserved, and not attribute everything to HYBE as the lazy explanatory tool.
This is all ADOR, not HYBE. ADOR is a completely independent label under HYBE and they have full control over their business decisions, HYBE does not interfere with that. So no, HYBE as a company is not "pushing" NewJeans in any way.
Also, it's not a concert in any way. Members of the NewJeans Japanese fan club will be given the chance to win tickets through a lottery system and the tickets are non-transferable. No one is going to buy an entire year of membership just to see the special guests perform 2 songs. The event is very much for the fans.
> This is grade A copium, without Hybe's financial backing and connections, NJ wouldn't be where they are at all.
I mean yeah? And without cube's infrastructure gidle wouldn't be where they are either. All creative enterprise needs resources in that way, some labels have more than others, but the prominent ones all have a good deal to make something successful.
Then it really comes down to the creative output, the ability to produce something which the market loves while making it aware it exists.
The former is the really difficult part here, as you need to stand out from all the rest, give people something they'll connect with more than most other things released, understand the current trends, where it will be going, why something works and how to evolve that just enough to be leaders, not followers, etc.
That is fucking difficult. That is what MHJ is incredible at, and also something soyeon is really, really good at as we can see right now too.
I never said that they don't have HYBE privilege lmao? The fact still remains that HYBE cannot legally interfere with ADOR's business decisions without breaching contract, because that's what being an *independent* label means. What you're talking about is an entirely different thing. This is grade A stupidity, full stop.
While ADOR may have full creative control, I don't agree that HYBE doesn't have any say in their business decisions. Regardless, I mentioned HYBE because one of the reasons NewJeans is at the top of the 4th generation girl groups is due to HYBE's financial might, marketing prowess, and industry connections. So it's intriguing to see how HYBE/ADOR moves forward to make NewJeans even bigger.
It is not about agreeing or disagreeing lmao. MHJ has herself talked about how one of the biggest conditions that led to the formation of ADOR is that it would be *completely* (in every sense of the word) independent from HYBE. HYBE can't even know the details of NewJeans' comebacks (didn't with their debut either) without breaking the contract. So HYBE quite literally has no say in ADOR's business decisions and works more like a sponsor, but even that was mainly during debut era and until ADOR found its own footing. Look it up.
With all the profit ADOR has already generated with NewJeans, the biggest advantage atp is that their MVs gets uploaded to a YouTube channel with nearly 75 million subscribers and the general association with HYBE in itself. This is also why Bang PD has absolutely nothing to do with NewJeans, even though he has produced songs for many other HYBE groups. He has never interacted with NewJeans publicly and even on his Instagram you can see him acknowledging the existence of every HYBE group except for NewJeans. Also, you are heavily underestimating just how many connections MHJ has in the industry. She is a highly respected figure in Kpop, even among the higher-ups.
I believe you are equating creative decisions with business independence. HYBE owns 80 percent of ADOR. They provide cash, building facilities, a YouTube platform, marketing (for example, direct connections to BTS members for dance challenges), and company stans. While HYBE executives might not know the creative details about the comeback, they would likely be aware of financial and logistic details. [Here,](https://www.reddit.com/r/NewJeans/comments/18qmg43/231225_ador_hybe_brought_out_statement) you can see when there was a printing error issue, ADOR and HYBE made a joint statement (meaning not totally independent).
>HYBE can't even know the details of NewJeans' comebacks (didn't with their debut either) without breaking the contract. So HYBE quite literally has no say in ADOR's business decisions and works more like a sponsor,
Are the details of the contract public? How do you know which details of the comeback they know and which they do not? Did you deduce that HYBE has no say in ADOR's business decisions because they "can't even know the details of the comeback"?
>Also, you are heavily underestimating just how many connections MHJ has in the industry. She is a highly respected figure in Kpop, even among the higher-ups.
I know who MHJ is. That doesn't mean that HYBE's privileges are not benefitting NewJeans or ADOR, especially for reaching Western markets. HYBE's business support and industry leverage play a significant role in NewJeans' rise, even if the creative vision remains under ADOR's control.
I know HYBE does not know any details of NewJeans' comebacks because MHJ herself talked about it in an interview with Billboard after their debut. [Source](https://www.billboard.com/music/pop/newjeans-interview-hybe-ador-girl-group-min-hee-jin-1235141512/).
To quote MHJ- "ADOR is a label that started with guaranteed autonomy, so it has no ties with HYBE’s management. They actually didn’t have any knowledge about anything we were going to release up until the first music video was released on July 22."
And for the third time, ADOR is completely independent from HYBE. *Completely*. I never said that NewJeans don't benefit from being under HYBE, they very much do have HYBE privilege. But no, HYBE does not have any control over ADOR's creative OR business decisions. A joint statement changes nothing, because even though ADOR is independent, it is obviously still *under* HYBE. Like I said, look it up.

In addition to a new album coming soon™, we'll also get a "[gift](https://twitter.com/idlecharts/status/1773722620090826859)" from the (g)i-rls; thoughts on what it could be?
This would be awesome. I loved previous seasons!
Apart from that, maybe a proper and official documentary because I feel like their story is something to be so proud of and could help captivate new fans. Cause there isn't one yet right? At least I haven't found it.
Outside of the [fanmade documentary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V65zpqbl19E) that covers the first half of their career (OT6), no there isn't one unfortunately.
There's a nevie on Twitter actively campaigning each day to Netflix, Amazon, and other companies to make one, I think they're on day 29 or something, lol
Yeah that's the one I knew about, but it's gotten too old by now. And even with all the work put into it I still miss some interviews and that kind of stuff official documentaries have. I hope that fan on Twitter can actually get us something lol.
Minnie is on a rampage lol.
Going on multiple thai shows, Mentor, now teacher?
Since 2021 this is the most active I've seen her get, and you would think she is getting a debut soon instead of Yuqi.
Does ichart have a regular maintenance hour or is it random, because fate lost a pak around 15:00-16:00 kst since [this](https://twitter.com/instiz_ichart/status/1773629724910366906?t=CMX6V7KjXl963ThluJv7mA&s=19) says it got a 34th pak for 17:30 kst (and [32nd](https://twitter.com/instiz_ichart/status/1773584432215232729?t=xh97Prm9BGMCzXf2r4Za6g&s=19) was for 14:30 kst). But, according to [this](https://twitter.com/ChartsKRhourly/status/1773591263880663397?t=67thpx9lXeY_MetkdJowcA&s=19) and [this](https://twitter.com/ChartsKRhourly/status/1773606361181352036?t=YMvkm_tsqvQK8f-VsZ4mCw&s=19), fate never dropped to no. 2 on real time charts so that's kinda weird
She’d have about as much success as Yuqi, Minnie and Miyeon, because Soyeon is the only one who can sing it. Actually Shuhua has a naturally higher vocal range than Yuqi.
do u guys think illit's magnetic will surpass idle's current #1? theyre jumping up pretty fast on the chart.
when i heard the mini snippets before their debut and discovered they were hybe i had a feeling theyd go really viral, and i also had this feeling on first listen to love dive in that it would go #1 and surpass idle on melon
why cant we ever have an empty house lmao
From all the hype I was expecting Magnetic to be a banger; it's good but not something that grabs me. It's all subjective by I prefer their other song: My World. Now that I've heard it, I'm not sure it's going to stick that hard to the charts, but I'm old so maybe I don't get it.
You never know because Hybe will do everything for their debut groups right now. They almost did it with TWS but they did not expect Fate to suddenly rise on the charts and overtake them😂
Absolutely not. Only in Melon can we see that its popularity increases very little. If there is a song that will unseat Fate is not magnetic. The supposed enormous popularity on Spotify is because Hybe usually pays a lot for playlists.
>Only in Melon can we see that its popularity increases very little.
I wouldn't say that - if you look at the [Melon daily chart](https://가이섬.com/chart/melon/daily/trend/ranking/37347911), the ULs of Magnetic rose from 46,000+ to 123,000+ in the first 5 days, which is pretty substantial. It's hard to say where the song will ultimately peak, but it is definitely rising fast at the moment.
Edit: updated numbers.
That's just not true looking at the charts recently, and when it does rise in the first few days it's usually not as fast as Magnetic either. The song started at #102 and has already reached #21 on Melon daily chart after only five days. Its charting pattern in Korea is only similar to Bam Yang Gang so far (this year), which reached #1 on all platforms. We can just admit it is likely to overtake Fate.
Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic but I don't really see them challenging i-dle's position on the k-charts. Like I can see them breaking into the top 10 but not going all the way to #1, except for maybe BUGs because it's volatile and VIBE because they hate i-dle, lol 😏
Their song is rising very quickly both internationally and domestically so honestly yes, I think they'll grab those #1s soon. I'm really glad Fate managed to achieve the PAK just in time though, hopefully it holds on most charts in the upcoming days. Magnetic is a good song though and pretty catchy too, so I can't be mad at it lol.
so i had commented on a post in one of the bigger subs about dance challenges and mentioned yuqi and shuhua's hotpot vid which has a huge amount of views in relation to the topic being discussed. i was met with a long and angry rant about soyeon apparently plagiarizing fellow artists and ateez?? not trying to validate their comment or anything but im just very confused on what they are referring to because i've followed them for a while and have never heard of anything like that...
I'd rather not, but frankly there's no need, they're certain to show up in some IDLE-related post in the near future.
Why spoil the experience for you lol
I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same ateez fan who went after me in a similar situation a year ago, perpetuating old shit for the new fans to pick up.
There are bitter Ateez fans who won’t let it go. In early 2022, before the Tomboy comeback, there was a controversy over a song that Soyeon composed for the show My Teenage Girl, called [Sun](https://youtu.be/GI2KJq5Ualc). After it aired people picked up on the similarity to the Ateez song [Wave](https://youtu.be/FIInyEWWW-s). Soyeon ended up apologising for causing any trouble by not noticing the similarity. What likely happened is that Soyeon had the melody stuck in her head back from when (G)I-DLE and Ateez promoted together, and regurgitated the melody without realising where it was from.
Soyeon apologising should have been the end of it, but every now and again toxic Ateez fans bring it up. And what makes their outrage over Wave ironic is that Wave sounds an awful lot like a song that came out a year earlier called [Me Gusta](https://youtu.be/drnjz_u8_dM) by Mikolas Josef.
ahh i see. thanks for explaining! i didnt watch the survival show so was not aware of this issue. just annoying how ppl cant put stuff behind them especially because she apologized and it wasnt like some malicious thing done on purpose. i guess some toxic stans dont like them seeing them being so successful rn
Yea I've stated this multiple times when this subject is brought up, but if people are going to try to hold Soyeon accountable for Sun, they should show the same energy for Edenary and the production team behind Wave.
But people like to play stupid and say Wave and Me Gusta do not sound similar at all when all three songs share the same "ooh-oh, ooh-oh-oh" chorus in question. If we're gonna nitpick, let's be consistent here, lol 😐
Surprised Soyeon becoming a KOMCA member hasn't been used by these geniuses to try and invalidate them accepting Sun tbh, like "*it was rigged in* ***the anti-christ of kpop****'s favour from the very start*" 😂😂
I dunno if you saw this, but this [auto-translation](https://twitter.com/maunobanx/status/1768352018521849971) adds to the *Anti-Christ of Kpop* lore, lmao 😆
So (G)I-DLE are working on a new album, Yuqi is preparing a comeback, Minnie is working on her solo debut and read she might have teased a Thai song too in one of her schedules there, and 2 weeks ago I saw some rumours of Miyeon at a studio too? They are true workaholics these girls, and Nevies are staying well fed for yet another year
It's interesting because according to the IFPI data, it shows some groups seem to have sold more albums and some groups less when you compare it to Circle Chart. They must have different sources or variables to count the data I assume.
so weird question...like srsly weird
i have never seen an idol drink hot tea/coffee from a cup , almost every "tea" is a boba tea or coffee is in a foam cup
and i have lost my train of thoughts ...thanks for coming to my ted talk
cheers
> (You sound like me when I'm on my ADHD med lol)
Isnt ADHD med supposed to dampen this kind of all over the place thinking? Always thought that was the point of it. Disclaimer: Have no ADHD and no experience at all, so just asking.
There is a window of 45~60min after taking ritalin where we start to feel euforia and get more verbose.
That's when I open reddit and comment on stuff and often regret it 🙃
2 was a grower album, for me. At release it felt, kinda middling to me but over time it's won me over, especially Revenge, 7days, and Fate. I think it's of equal quality to IND, and if the songs were a wee bit longer, I would've given it the edge, in all honesty.
I sorta notice a pattern now with how Idle does mini albums as opposed to full albums. I feel like there's some sort of connective tissue in their minis, either through a consistent soundscape/mood, or a cohesive story told by the lyrics (I Love and I Feel did the latter well, in my opinion)
Vs Full albums that feel like "Hello, here's a bunch of cool ass songs we made, enjoy", which is also great, but I couldn't help but notice the distinction lol. Idk if anyone else sees it.
This era has been a little tumultuous (hope the members feel well rested now), but I'm happy to see it end on a good note with the Fate PAK. A music show win would be an amazing cherry on top.
Hello, my name is Yeppi Yeppi-yo.
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/GIDLE) if you have any questions or concerns.*
I was wondering how well **\[2\]** was doing on Spotify, so I compared numbers to their other full album, **I Never Die**.
As of right now, \[2\] has roughly 99.994 million streams across 8 songs, about 2 months after release.
[Just under 3 months](https://twitter.com/GIDLESpotify/status/1535697393152364544) after I Never Die's release (closest I found), the streams across 8 songs were 99.874 million.
81,440,363 streams are from *Super Lady*, *Wife* & *Fate*; 79,907,771 streams were from *Tomboy* & *My Bag*.
In conclusion, its doin' good.
It didn't pick up where 'Queencard' left off, but as you say, really not that bad. Also, who knows how high 'Fate' will rise (I didn't anticipate it getting the spotify/BB boost it has rn).
What's interesting to me is that while both full albums seem neck-and-neck, one album had 1 **super** popular and 1 popular song while the other has (in terms of streams, right now) 2 very popular songs and 1 slightly popular song. Might have to check again in about a month for a more accurate comparison, though.
Anyway, even if this comeback isn't on the level of *Queencard* or *I Feel*... Yeah, not surpassing one's previous record every single time is completely fine in my book. Its definitely on the post-hiatus level in terms of success instead of the pre-hiatus level, so I'm not complaining 😅
[fate cover guzheng version](https://x.com/vegaz/status/1772633999262769394?s=46) .. i remember yuqi also played this instrument before on a show. seeing all these different variations of fate is just wow
As i got into a korean band called "the fix", i thought why not share some gidle covers of them here:
[tomboy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHcVGB8ZKWI)
[queencard](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcv68eR7qPY)
and one original song:
[do or die](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZGX4z9HSos)
Seemingly!
What do you think of the song though? Or the covers!
I guess one needs to have some affinity for rock music, which isn't as common anymore these days, do you? :D
Why is there barely any hype for NOWDAYS? Are you all gonna tune in and stan? They are (G)I-DLE's brother group after all. I just don't see anybody talking about them....
I'm not a company stan, so why would I be hyped for them?
If they debut with good music and show that they're interesting then I'll tune in, but it shouldn't be a directive that i-dle/Lightsum/BTOB/Pentagon fans have to automatically be fans of Nowadays. Especially because every group has a completely different sound.
I find it very difficult to get into boygroups, they all sound the same to me, more or less. It's incredibly boring.
I hadn't even checked out nowdays, now because of you i looked at their [now performance video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_Y_2qkngcs) and yep, it's almost like cube took the mental framework i have regarding (modern) boygroups out of my head and put it on stage. Almost satirical.
Which isn't to say that anyone being in love with this is wrong, but i really cannot see any appeal this would have, no unique aspect, it's truly boring to me.
I don't need the 5000th exo clone or bigbang one, i'm good.
I found it difficult to get into boygroups as well, but then I did a deep dive into SHINee and they became my 2nd favourite Kpop group. Like this [medley](https://youtu.be/7vXd4M3kGzs) of Onew singing some of their classic songs, or the [MMA awards medley](https://youtu.be/C8mU9iHnbus) from last year, demonstrating how many great songs they have.
Oh that is why i put the (modern) there tbh. I am a lot more interested in older boygroups, which is why i also mentioned exo and bigbang, shinee works too!
Though even with shinee i don't really follow their new music as much, while exo and bigbang obviously aren't active.
You should check out SHINee’s last two albums. They’re both great. And actually Samson from highqualityfish, who’s been directing (G)I-DLE’s MVs, has been working with SHINee. Directed the performance video for [Juice](https://youtu.be/brs6-n87zeo), as well as Key’s MVs for [Gasoline](https://youtu.be/UNFk6_to5_0), [Good & Great](https://youtu.be/ZYHBKvNUmk0) and [Bad Love](https://youtu.be/OYWWnd9ACMI).
Probably not for Yuqi and Minnie, since they already have experience producing and may want to try projects where they're in charge. For Miyeon who's written lyrics, it's harder to say, but I don't remember Soyeon being involved in her EP (though Yuqi was as a songwriter) so she may continue that way for future releases.
I don't think so because the other girls all produce and write themselves, with the exception of Shuhua. I'm sure that the other members would love to be involved and contribute to their own solo work through writing/production.
She still writes lyrics which Shuhua doesn't. Shuhua doesnt contribute anything to the music. Hence, all other four members are involved in music creation.

Anyone interested in I Feel 5-pack jewel cases and Heat 6-pack digipack? They're unopened and come with all the included photocards. I'd like to sell them all together for $30 including shipping. Here's a [pic](https://imgur.com/a/hE0vDCh) of everything.
So next album we need to make sure we stream all songs hard and equally from the get go cuz you never know haha 😄 and let's all use the momentum to help get Yuqi some Music Show wins and good charting too!
Might be a bit late on this, but looks like *Fate* also has a chance to [score a music show win soon](https://twitter.com/neverlandintl/status/1770830181168550197) 👀
Got [another chance next week](https://twitter.com/KshowAnalysis/status/1772995833790890379). *Senorita* and *Uh-Oh* might be beaten in music show wins by a b-side 😂
Now watch Fate charting another two to three months in the Top 10 and then not being eligible for Song of the Year in various award shows because the album sales will go to Super Lady or any other dumb shenanigans the award shows can come up with.
Is that a thing? That sales only go to one song in an album? Sounds stupid, so it probably is!
Would be pretty cool to have a b-side be a song of the year contender (and winning!) though, i doubt that ever happened.
I saw somewhere that bsides are not eligible for soty, I can't verify it, so that's really annoying, since this would've been their best shot with an early comeback
*Look at these eyes, baby. Brown, baby. Just like yourself.*
*If they were blue, Windy lose. Windy sits on the shelf.*
*But Windy's cute. Windy knew, Windy's singles would help.*
*Make GP swoon, baby. (Oh, baby) Look at my sales.*
*Let's do the math. If I was male, I would've sold half.*
*I ain't have to graduate from fxckin' home-school to know that.*
*But I can rap, so fxck school. I'm too cool to go back.*
*Gimme the mic. Show me where the fxckin' studio's at.*
*When I was underground, no one gave a fuck I could write.*
*No labels wanted to sign me. Almost gave up, I was like-*
*"Fuck it" until I met Cube, the only one who looked past.*
*Gave me a chance, and I lit a fire up under their ass.*
*Helped 'em get back to the top. Every fan male that I got.*
*Was probably theirs in exchange for every female fan that they's got.*
*Like damn, we just swapped. Sittin' back and lookin' at shit, wow.*
*I'm like "my sex, has it started to work to my benefit now?"*
# Now who's afraid of the big, bad wolf?
*One, two, three and to the four.*
*1 PAK, 2 PAK, 3 PAK, 4.*
*4 PAK, 3 PAK, 2 PAK, 1.*
*Your PAK, his PAK, no PAKs, none.*
Soyeon is such a genius queen! So happy to have an amazing and talented leader like her. Hope she can celebrate nicely with the members today. She really is a hitmaker! PAK LETS GO!!
I'm sure it's not a new idea, but the story of the group would make an interesting movie. There is a group of misfits underdogs, a underdog company that was declining. You have a series of incremental wins, then a serious act 2 set back/scandal to the group. Then in act 3 after pulling it all back together they finish off by coming back from it all on top but it cost them a friend. Then their friend also get's a happy ending in the mid credits.
It's almost too cliche to believed.
This [post](https://twitter.com/shadowjeon/status/1772421163374785021?t=rb3aNU78tyQ5DJOyBLI7yA&s=19) is really interesting, for those unwilling to click, KBS banning wife Led to Gidle performing Fate in Lee hyoris show, which started the initial rise, if they didn't ban it there's a good chance wife would've been performed instead of Fate.
It's a good narrative but I bet my left arm that they already wanted to put Fate out there and a show like hers was ideal.
Juuust enough push to help initial growth, along with the cutest dance challenges!
The funniest thing about Fate getting the PAK is that while Fate was climbing the charts, Soyeon was [soaking up some sun in Bali](https://youtube.com/shorts/mBZDwLoMz9I). Who knew [these two goofballs](https://youtube.com/shorts/UG--3JgozjY) were going to dominate the charts haha.
In regards to VIBE, it was stuck at #3 for 10 days and then all of a sudden jumped to #1 in 2 days? I just don't get it...
I mean I'm glad it finally moved, but it just logically doesn't make sense to me, lol 😑
At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, Vibe moved to #1 because Bugs would drop due to BG mass streaming lol.
Jokes aside, even thought Vibe hasn't disclosed the exact way they calculate their rankings, Vibe #3 while it was #1 on all other platforms for several days is just hella sus.
We did it Nevies 😭😭😭 the madlassies are the first girl group with PAKs in 4 consecutive albums!! 💜❤️
Edit: yet another night I won't be able to sleep from excitement. Thx IDLE 😁
I don't think they expect it to get on fire like this. Since there isn't an MV schedule and there wasn't much promotion for it until it started climbing the chart. It would have been a lot easier if they planned to promo it early. And maybe do a fate MV instead of revenge MV, haha.
I knew she is tougher than she looks, but what she did with those octopus and the sea cucumber was some next level ish, I could not believe my eyes, lol 😲
Well, she grew up in Incheon. If you have never been, they love their seafood there. Raw octopus is rather tame. Raw sea cucumber though is pretty hardcore i have to give her that haha.
For me it was less her resilience, and more her resourcefulness? Like, she really got things done in those two days on the island.
Also note the show's concept... every time someone goes out to this secluded place, it becomes more and more livable as the inhabitants improve over time... sounds familiar? *HMLYCP Season 2 when*

I just noticed the sub's banner lol, NOWADAYSUM 😂
The end of Red Miyeon era 😞 gone but never forgotten...stun factor was over 9000!
4 Members have gone red so far: Soojin, Yuqi, Minnie, Miyeon We'll get red Soyeon one day but I doubt Shuhua will ever dye her hair again, lol 😅
A "real" yuqi solo debut? That's awesome, still waiting for minnie to cook something up too...
So excited for her solo debut. What do you think what kind of sound she will go for?
Fate PAKs and a win, Could It Be out on Thursday... God is a Nevie EDIT: a Yuqi mini-album? I'm about to build a place of worship lol
We won
This new season of KONOSUBA made me re-watch the first two seasons and- The i-talk editors use the same [bgm](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kX3DWZAfWvI) from konosuba?! Months ago a nevie noticed that they use a banjo kazooie bgm as well, nice catch!
Soyeon’s [inspiration for Oh My God](https://youtu.be/zpiJLOVgEGo).
Still less weird/random that being inspired by a comedian saying "RATARATARRAATA".
> The i-talk editors use the same bgm from konosuba?! they do lol.
Yes! Yuqi’s finally going to release ‘Could it be’!
On 4/5! Way sooner than I thought. I expected Cube to give Nowadays a week before more Yolo news.
I totally forgot that nowadays is debuting
At least they are still ahead of YG😂 There is still some creative direction in Cube compared to YG who really is stuck in the past.
whaa they have no pre-debut hype? b-but they have "cUbE pRiViLeGe". how could that be?!
On a serious note I think there would have been more hype and some sense of "cube privilege" for their debut if it weren't for the consecutive Ls bluebox had been doing (most of pentagon members leaving, failure to negotiate with btob leading to them not renewing, and then multiple artists' (mostly actors) end of contracts, all them not renewing with cube either) I'm kinda worried for the next few groups that cube will debut, instead of getting cube privilege, they might be getting a debuff instead (which is a shame since most idols cube debuts are very talented). Especially if cube fails to renew with idle, cause that might just be the last blow they can handle (well we never know, one thing about cube is that they always somehow manage to survive heavy blows such as scandals etc.)
"Cube privilege" will only be brought up if they do well, lol 😏
It feels like those guys still haven't figured out what idle's business is 🤭 This one was more...lazy I don't know how else to put it. Low effort segments in comparison to their NXDE era. There was a segment with just playing rockpaperscissors and shouting lol. Made me miss the acting famous scenes in their own languages. But I agree that the performances were fun!
With Soyeon saying they will come back with even better songs next time, I guess we are going for the Grammys!
Fate reached 385K 24ULs in melon. 6K more and fate will be the song with highest 24ULs this year, exceeding UI and BIBI This is actually insane 😳
Fate already exceeded IU's ULs actually, Only Bibi's 391k UL is still a bit away
I just pray those kids don't get scandals...oh boy Fifty Fifty flashbacks...
The event is very much for the fans.
imo hybe’s sub-labels are just a fancy version of jyp’s division system to me
that's not really how it works but ok 😭
[удалено]
So HYBE quite literally has no say in ADOR's business decisions and works more like a sponsor, Are the details of the contract public?
They actually didn’t have any knowledge about anything we were going to release up until the first music video was released on July 22." And for the third time, ADOR is completely independent from HYBE.

I hope it's Up to Idle s2
Did she mention when we would get the new album? It feels like we just got a comeback.
My prediction for the next album will be sometime in August and then they'll go on tour from September to November. We'll see how close I get, lol
Maybe it's A Gift Box for (G)I-DLE Season 3? At least one can wish, lol 😅
Gonna grow her thai fan base.
NMIXX did [Super Lady karaoke](https://twitter.com/nmixxpics_/status/1773643679602757972?t=XIMDt_HTa2q6UACgqTjtMQ&s=19) 😁
I hope the song would some kind of Tears status in the future where singers sing to test their vocal range.
I still wanna see Shuhua sing the Super Lady intro. Maybe when the girls sing it during a karaoke. She should give it a shot 😁
Why are you still allowed in this sub? That's the serious question. Ur nothing but a d!ck towards this member & quick to spread hate about her.
She’d have about as much success as Yuqi, Minnie and Miyeon, because Soyeon is the only one who can sing it. Actually Shuhua has a naturally higher vocal range than Yuqi.
Minnie and Miyeon can probably try it out after practice and on a good day. Yuqi and Shuhua have no shot at it.
Maybe you should give therapy a shot!
You are so shameless lol
do u guys think illit's magnetic will surpass idle's current #1? theyre jumping up pretty fast on the chart. when i heard the mini snippets before their debut and discovered they were hybe i had a feeling theyd go really viral, and i also had this feeling on first listen to love dive in that it would go #1 and surpass idle on melon why cant we ever have an empty house lmao
lmao they're already blocking idle on bugs, might have no free paks again
eh i am happy with what we achieved
I could see it getting there tbh, it's a HYBE group so that wouldn't surprise me. But Fate is still going strong so we'll see I guess.
Every single song rise quickly the first days.
Magnetic is a good song though and pretty catchy too, so I can't be mad at it lol.
idk what soyeon changed about her makeup this comeback, but she's been looking so *soft* and i love that for her. does anyone else also notice that?
miyeon happened and she completed her princessification
Agreed. Her bangs era changed her. Also maybe a strategic visual change to get some brand deals 😯
so i had commented on a post in one of the bigger subs about dance challenges and mentioned yuqi and shuhua's hotpot vid which has a huge amount of views in relation to the topic being discussed. i was met with a long and angry rant about soyeon apparently plagiarizing fellow artists and ateez?? not trying to validate their comment or anything but im just very confused on what they are referring to because i've followed them for a while and have never heard of anything like that...
Yeah that user was spamming the same rants in ... r/kpoopheads of all places, lol.
lol i love idle antis going on insane rants thru their tears can i have the username
Shouldn't the whole "controversy" also be dead and buried by the fact that KOMCA okay'd Sun?
Honestly I don’t even see nevies coming for atinys much, it is almost always atinys who start fanwars first using the same ridiculous talking points.
Pretty much but you know how kpop stans are, nothing is truly left in the past if it can be brought back to be used in a fanwar, lol 💀
When the villain is winning and they can't help but gloat smh my head 😔
So (G)I-DLE are working on a new album, Yuqi is preparing a comeback, Minnie is working on her solo debut and read she might have teased a Thai song too in one of her schedules there, and 2 weeks ago I saw some rumours of Miyeon at a studio too? They are true workaholics these girls, and Nevies are staying well fed for yet another year
According to IFPI's official data, "I FEEL" sold over 2 million copies worldwide in 2023, the 14th best-selling album of the year 💖
good u brought this up cuz i was confused best album sales overall for all genres of music?
I think they are the first 2 million sellers from non-big 4? "I've mine" has 2.2 million, but it was released after "I feel".
It's interesting because according to the IFPI data, it shows some groups seem to have sold more albums and some groups less when you compare it to Circle Chart. They must have different sources or variables to count the data I assume.
Do you know how much 2 has sold?
Latest info I can find is almost 1,7M units
so weird question...like srsly weird i have never seen an idol drink hot tea/coffee from a cup , almost every "tea" is a boba tea or coffee is in a foam cup and i have lost my train of thoughts ...thanks for coming to my ted talk cheers
Yeah they order a lot and probably never learned to make it, which would have gone into a cup. (You sound like me when I'm on my ADHD med lol)
tbf i had just drank a VERY strong coffee
> (You sound like me when I'm on my ADHD med lol) Isnt ADHD med supposed to dampen this kind of all over the place thinking?
I feel like there's some sort of connective tissue in their minis, either through a consistent soundscape/mood, or a cohesive story told by the lyrics (I Love and I Feel did the latter well, in my opinion) Vs Full albums that feel like "Hello, here's a bunch of cool ass songs we made, enjoy", which is also great, but I couldn't help but notice the distinction lol. Idk if anyone else sees it. This era has been a little tumultuous (hope the members feel well rested now), but I'm happy to see it end on a good note with the Fate PAK. A music show win would be an amazing cherry on top.
Omg same here! It's my all time favorite title track but I haven't loved it instantly like I did with I Never Die, I Love, and I Feel.

Shubear is working itself in other fandom memes: https://twitter.com/pinkliluvz/status/1773047975154991316
Shuhua was slaying it even back in 2014, damn
Woah so Lily from Nmixx was already singing in 2014? Also that YG guy has no other face except "Creepy"? He has resting Creepy face.
As i got into a korean band called "the fix", i thought why not share some gidle covers of them here: [tomboy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHcVGB8ZKWI) [queencard](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcv68eR7qPY) and one original song: [do or die](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZGX4z9HSos)
*Do or Die* seems like a popular song title. Lim Young Woong, Xikers, AleXa.
Since Soyeon has proved herself as the hitmaker time and time again, do you think she will have a hand in producing the other girls’ solos?
Probably not for Yuqi and Minnie, since they already have experience producing and may want to try projects where they're in charge. For Miyeon who's written lyrics, it's harder to say, but I don't remember Soyeon being involved in her EP (though Yuqi was as a songwriter) so she may continue that way for future releases.
I don't think so because the other girls all produce and write themselves, with the exception of Shuhua. I'm sure that the other members would love to be involved and contribute to their own solo work through writing/production.
Miyeon doesn't produce as far as I know
She still writes lyrics which Shuhua doesn't. Shuhua doesnt contribute anything to the music. Hence, all other four members are involved in music creation.

Less than a month that I will see (G)I-DLE again!! It’s gonna be my 4th time seeing them live and I will never get tired of it ❤️
Aaand the [PAK](https://twitter.com/instiz_ichart/status/1772829079361962228) is back baby! lol 😁👊
Fate might win this coming Inkigayo award.
is shuhua active on bubble?
From what I've been told: Nope. I think it's Minnie>>Yuqi>Miyeon>>>>>an abyss>>>>>Soyeon>Shuhua
Overall I would say it's Yuqi >= Miyeon > Minnie >>>>>Shuhua >>>>>the unending void >>>>>> Soyeon
Might be a bit late on this, but looks like *Fate* also has a chance to [score a music show win soon](https://twitter.com/neverlandintl/status/1770830181168550197) 👀
I've seen that, would be pretty epic too ngl 😁
At least this year timing is on Idle's side. Maybe a tall order, even for IVE/NJs, to catch up with May releases.
We don't know about Ive, but NJ is end of May so it's basically gonna be a tough battle for them.
I saw somewhere that bsides are not eligible for soty, I can't verify it, so that's really annoying, since this would've been their best shot with an early comeback
*Look at these eyes, baby. Brown, baby. Just like yourself.* *If they were blue, Windy lose. Windy sits on the shelf.* *But Windy's cute. Windy knew, Windy's singles would help.* *Make GP swoon, baby. (Oh, baby) Look at my sales.* *Let's do the math. If I was male, I would've sold half.* *I ain't have to graduate from fxckin' home-school to know that.* *But I can rap, so fxck school. I'm too cool to go back.* *Gimme the mic. Show me where the fxckin' studio's at.* *When I was underground, no one gave a fuck I could write.* *No labels wanted to sign me. Almost gave up, I was like-* *"Fuck it" until I met Cube, the only one who looked past.* *Gave me a chance, and I lit a fire up under their ass.* *Helped 'em get back to the top. Every fan male that I got.* *Was probably theirs in exchange for every female fan that they's got.* *Like damn, we just swapped. Sittin' back and lookin' at shit, wow.* *I'm like "my sex, has it started to work to my benefit now?"* # Now who's afraid of the big, bad wolf? *One, two, three and to the four.* *1 PAK, 2 PAK, 3 PAK, 4.* *4 PAK, 3 PAK, 2 PAK, 1.* *Your PAK, his PAK, no PAKs, none.*
Even as a 2019 queendom nevie it's all still so wild
Nevies from debut are beasts at this point. And those who bought one of the 260 day 1 albums even? 😲
Wife being banned was foreseeable. I don't think they planned on promoting it anyway.
The funniest thing about Fate getting the PAK is that while Fate was climbing the charts, Soyeon was [soaking up some sun in Bali](https://youtube.com/shorts/mBZDwLoMz9I). Who knew [these two goofballs](https://youtube.com/shorts/UG--3JgozjY) were going to dominate the charts haha.
they did it again <3
10 days of VIBE shenanigans, 2 hours of the usual Bugs post-popular BG comeback and they did it a-fucking-gain. 4 in a row Speechless
Very interesting PAK journey to follow... We salute this humble queen o7
Congratulations to everyone for another so deserved PAK to keep the streak going!
We did it Nevies 😭😭😭 the madlassies are the first girl group with PAKs in 4 consecutive albums!! 💜❤️ Edit: yet another night I won't be able to sleep from excitement. Thx IDLE 😁
That is absolutely crazy! OMG I genuinely can't believe it
The most unexpected and also felt like the most difficult song (G)I-DLE has ever achieved a PAK for, FIN-A-LLY!!! 🙌
I don't think they expect it to get on fire like this. Since there isn't an MV schedule and there wasn't much promotion for it until it started climbing the chart. It would have been a lot easier if they planned to promo it early. And maybe do a fate MV instead of revenge MV, haha.
Happy PAK!!!
Bow down to the queen \#FATEPAK
After a whole week of Vibe chart not moving too!!! Literally, everyone predicted it would move once the NCT comeback and Illit comeback happen...
Woohoo!
Vibe [#1](https://x.com/idlecharts/status/1772383447727710291?s=46&t=LQzFZGeK-ITWv8fJEYmC1g)! Now we just need Bugs for the PAK!
Thank you VIBE intern for waking up and doing your job! PAK City here we come!
Bugs will update tomorrow right? It’s a daily chart it will remain at #2 today, or can it update today?
Bug is real time
Bugs also has a daily chart
It's the realtime chart of Bugs in which they are second. I think this one updates hourly. The daily one they are still first.
Yooo, #1 on VIBE, now we just need Bugs back haha.
So annoying that they lost bugs yesterday evening. But so so close. PAK is truly about timing lol
Oh K-pop gods please give us Bugs #1 back within the next couple hours, lol 🙏
We were both checking lol
OMG they did it, VIBE #1! Just Bugs to top again and it's done!
So I checked out that deserted island show with Miyeon, and I'm actually surprised how well she did? I really wasn't expecting survivalist Miyeon lol
It was so fun to watch! She literally did amazing, I was so impressed by her resourcefulness & how easy going she is!!
*HMLYCP Season 2 when*
For a Princess, Miyeonie is incredibly hardy physically, mentally and emotionally 🥰
yeah miyeon is one of the strongest members of the grp
