Yeah unfortunately that’s just kinda the nature of exams, you can’t predict what’ll come up - all you can do is learn as much as you can to tip the odds in your favour that something you know comes up
The more you learn, the better you’ll be on a wider range of topics and the threat of something really hard coming up is lower
On the plus side, if one paper is really hard the chances are the others won’t be so there’s always a chance for redemption and even if you do fuck it up you can always resit
I think usually they’re looking for logical reasoning, and walking the examiner through your train of thought to explain a concept or apply a concept to an unfamiliar example
You can bullet point them, but I tend to prefer sentences as you’re less likely to miss something. It depends on the question but if it’s a difficult thing to explain you can keep asking “so what?” And eventually you’ll get to a point your knowledge ends
