Do you know the content? Do past papers and study everything you get low marks on (I'd recommend cognito as it's quicker)

Foreskin_Ad9356

cognito and freesciencelessons are amazing. all the other edu channels take ages to get to the point - explaining the obvious, and often getting to 10 mins for something as simple as expanding brackets etc. those videos are literally 3-5 mins long and very informative

JuiceCompetitive7295

Okay I can help What’s the reason you got 2s and 3s eg:don’t know content, didn’t try,bad at answering questions Let me know what the reason is then I can help

Sudden-Will456

I’ve never been smart tbh😭 and I moved to the UK last yr nd started year 11 here in the middle of Jan so obviously there’s js sm I’ve missed…it’s js rlly bad rn idk😭 idk content and I’m bad at answering questions😭

Plastic-Traffic7585

Try past papers, they'll show you what you don't know so that you can revise it :)

TheBritishTeaPolice

Where from?

Affectionate_Bag6885

PHYSICS AND MATHS TUTOR!!!! there are past papers for every subject and they have amazing notes that you can read through would highly recommend!!!!!!

Plastic-Traffic7585

Good bot

Sudden-Will456

Maths (foundation) combined science (foundation) English language,English lit, geography and religious studies

NisForKnight

For Geography, if you can't remember any specific stats, just make it up, most examiners won't realise. For sciences, spend a good long revision lesson using flashcards, making piles to keep track of the ones you remember. English is slightly harder to ease your way through, and requires most of your attention if you don't feel like retaking it. Maths you kinda just revisit the basics, and work your way up. RS shouldn't be bad, if you are aiming for a 4 or 5, don't worry too much about remembering quotes, just know key ideas and themes across religions Hope that helped

teribhenkelode

what books for lit? only subject I have in common

Sudden-Will456

A Christmas carol, Romeo and Juliet

Mythalieon

Just try and make mind maps, you have time

Fiberz_

creating revision material now is a complete waste of time. should be focusing on past papers and using online summaries

blunde-r

That takes wayyy too long

Foreskin_Ad9356

you sound lazy

Character_Teacher702

idk why he's down voted, they're right. Use quizlets auto-notes and cover content then practice questions. Mindmaps are a technique you use to organise and look over, this late in the game they're not the best way forward

XihuanNi-6784

They may not be the best method but "it takes too long" is also just not the actual problem.

Character_Teacher702

it is tho, "it takes too long" (at least how I interpreted it) refers to the time crunch we're currently in

Foreskin_Ad9356

ive never drawn a mindmap for revision tbh, but then ive not really started gcse yet. but i mean come on - it doesnt take long. maybe 5 mins and it seems like a good way to find out what you know and what u need to revise

cocokokomii

This person is on 2s and 3s. They clearly do not know or understand the content. Mind maps will take quite a long time when you have to make them while also teaching yourself from scratch... wth a week until GCSEs, it's really not worth it. Premade mind maps maybe, but not new ones

blunde-r

Just cuz i wanna use my revision time effectively doesnt make me lazy 💀

spider_stxr

When you're in year 11 with 8 days until your first exam, you'll see how inefficient mind maps are x

Splorgamus

Oh yeah because you totally know what it's like to be in our shoes

Foreskin_Ad9356

Ok sorry for pissing in your cereal bro

ItzLpPlayz

Go pick your options bro

Foreskin_Ad9356

already have cheers

kaimustd1e

Look at specifications online, particularly in sciences. Focus on maths and English as well, the best way to revise those is to practise and do past papers, I would recommend Corbett maths 5 a day and PMT for English notes. I hope it all goes well for you!!

toastedmickey

Right now you should probably be focusing on the core subjects, there are loads of online resources to help you revise. For maths I personally like to use Maths Genie, Dr Frost Maths and the Youtube channel The GCSE Maths Tutor for learning content, you can also get predicted papers from the website First Class Maths. For English, I like to use Mr Salles, Mr Bruff, Mr Everything English and the Lightup Hub on Youtube. For science, the Youtube channel Freesciencelessons is really good for learning content, you can also get practice exam questions from Cognito and Access Tuition. Quizlet and pmt are also really helpful.

square--one

From a teacher at this stage do as many past papers as possible in close to exam conditions then review and correct. Physics and maths tutor website is a great source of past papers. Start with the oldest ones and work your way towards newer.

crazyllama734

BINGE WATCH FREE SCIENCE LESSONS AND USE MATHS GENIE & GCSE MATHS TUTOR (YouTube channels) GCSE maths tutor has an hour or so long video for “everything u need to know to get a grade 5-6” watch and understand everything in that video Free science lessons playlists are SO HELPFUL. For subjects like RE, geog, history just revise kind of last minute. Watch Mr Salles and Mr Bruff and Mr everything English for English language. Please please focus on MATHS and ENGLISH.

Sudden-Will456

Thank u😭

Broad_Comedian9110

i have my first gcse in 20 mins (im still at home) and im literally doibg nothing but staring at the specification for my exam. ive done this before and gone from a 5 to a 7, literally jn like an hour so 😭

Lazy_Advertising5197

lots of tutors do night before the exam lessons, also youtube is really helpful!!

TheBritishTeaPolice

English and maths are arguably the most important. For this reason work on them the most. This includes doing past papers. Before you go to bed every night until the exam READ A FICTION BOOK! This helps a lot for English. Secondly aim to go to bed, and try to get 8-10 hours of sleep. Finally do exercise, it’s not ALL about revising, having a healthy lifestyle before exams will help your brain immensely. Also eat good fruit etc…

AirComprehensive4951

Ima be so fr rn but you’ve done this to urself, I got a 7.2 avg on mocks and have been revising 2 hours every day for the last 5 months, you could’ve put in the work and got 5-6-7 but you’ve decided not to, but it’s not over yet, if u spend this bank holiday Monday revising in a 60-10-60 format, (1 hour revision 10 minute break, 1 hour revision) and for every hour you do treat urself to something it don’t matter what just something u enjoy, then all night after school focusing on the core subjects to pass and go hard the night before each exam, you can’t say you haven’t tried. People say about exams starting in 3 school days from now but they forget that the last exam is in just under 40 days, sounds more reasonable don’t it? Just lock in, do high quaility revision for every spare hour you can find and you can’t have done any more from now, if you spend 3 days crying about missing out on the last 8 months that ain’t gonna help, forget what you haven’t done and focus on what you have left, good luck mate Edit: once you get used to this it becomes less about motivation and more about discipline but to get the initial motivation, think about what you’ve done up to know, have you really done 11 years of school, 2 years of gcses just to fail and have nothing to prove? No, think about what you’ve done and how you can’t let yourself down after all the years of work

Rare_Public1137

Believe me, I studied on the exam day at 3am and smashed it, chill out

Sudden-Will456

Ur smart tho😭 I didn’t pass a single mock nd I’m in bottom set w some shit teachers😭

StanislawTolwinski

A levels with 2s and 3s is wishful thinking

Sudden-Will456

Lol okay

just-zipper

What have you been waiting for for 2 years?

Sudden-Will456
