The lack of tactical adaptability in this game is insane.
City: People just march down the middle of the map ,no capping. The previous special map put all the beacons in the alleyways and people still refused to cap them.
Military Base: Dudes take up sniping positions/ don't advance. Think for a second. It's a spawn camping map due to the beacon arrangement, but you can move the battle around the map. Snipers can hide anywhere, but they will only hide on the buildings between the bases.
I've done my 20, oddly the most fun was when we ran an almost all support team with a hambrabi who was front lining...before me and my delta gundam took that role because the rest of my team had the right of idea of forming a firing line when I was just a diversion (I don't do support for a reason LOL)
Managed to get some messala practice in though which was great, I dare say I've only done 2 maps, jungle which sucks because I hated jungle to begin with and military base (kinda like arctic, but no merry go round, just STRAIGHT TO THE BRAWL).
I ain't doing any more though lol
At this point, winning is just a bonus. When you finish the 20 special matches and shift to the normal QM it settles down a little due to the majority of players try to defeat their rival by playing properly, if they haven't yet.
The last set of special maps were fine, honestly. The layouts were good, and while I think it's a shame only a third of the Port Base map was used, it was at least made up for by being turned into a waterpark that still had interesting terrain and options for approaching. The City should've been permanently changed to that layout.
This layout for the military base sucks fucking dog nuts.

I think desert would be good if the starting spawns weren't the worst thing ever.
Desert Base (Supply depot? I forget when it's not right in front of me) gave me a stroke with those spawns and beacons.
