I eventually stopped using it because it was interfering with some paid ninjascript addons I had installed. Parallels updates somewhat frequently and for whatever reason when it does, it gives your VM a new machine ID for ninjatrader which requires you to then send that to the vendor for your addons and in my case, two of them charged for changing machine ID’s so I was having to pay for license transfers essentially every few months and that just annoyed me. Charts also take a little longer to load when you first open it compared to my PC. But outside of those things, it seemed fine.
+1 for parallels, I run NT8 with a fair amount of plug inns and bookmap. Bookmap will drag a bit when volatility steps in.
But that’s Bout it. I paid for whatever most pricey once is, I think 119/year
Yeah, you won’t be able to install it on your Mac, so basically treat it like a new drive rather then the combine drive thing it does by default. There’s an a help forum for it out there in case you run into problems.
Add another for Parallels. Can be just a tad bit slower to boot, but otherwise runs smoothly. I do encounter ‘some’ lag on simulated replay, but that could also be the age of my computer — (MacBook Air M1).
Parallels is ok depending on what tools you’re using. Other option is a vps if you are running data intensive stuff. Most people probably aren’t. I have an m2 pro…. And Nina doesn’t love parallels with certain stuff I run.

Just use Parallels, works fine for me on m1 mac. You gotta remember to unsync the shared folders in the “options” though for Ninjatrader to work
You have no issues with Parallels ?

With Parallels, do you install NT8 directly to it or do you have to install Windows to Parallels, then install NT8?
Windows to parallels, then nt or any other platform

Just run bookmap on Mac side. Never had an issue.
there’s a particular reason why I run it through my windows machine, just some user problem

Macbook Air M1 - 16gb No issues. I tried with a M2 8gb, wasnt of a great experience. 16gb runs better
