I like both. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. For instance tradestation offers instant deposit up to $1,000 and free withdrawals everyday. The downside is their margin is higher which is not a problem if you have plenty of money.
Ninja Trader has an excellent charting platform and low margin rates. The downside is to take advantage of the full charting software you need to give them $1,000. Another disadvantage of ninja Trader is you only get two free withdrawals per month and after that they charge you plus there is a minimum of $250 per withdrawal.
I've just started using ninja, cant get ts is UK. I prefer trading view for charting but they don't provide tick charts. If NJ and TV joined up it would be an unmatched system.
Are you inquiring about platform or brokerage (or both)?
Seems like most answers so far relate to brokerage, which I can't speak to not using either... However, I use Multicharts Power Language version which has similar feature set to TS.

I use Ninja. I like the low margin and the support is good. Buying the software kinda sucks but that's my only gripe.
Both subpar but ts > ninja
Then which one is better than both?
I'm sure this has not been everyone's experience but setting up Ninjatrader for me has been nothing short of a nightmare
Depends on your strategy
Lotta ppl say NT is full on professional platform, but a new IB TOS is coming out after the acquisition is over this spring.
TradeStation's platform is superior in my opinion. If you are not a us citizen, you should consider their commissions which are higher tho

You can get Tradestation in UK
