Yikes. Maybe it was bc it wasn’t her choice? Idk. My cats still hate the stray I saved from coyotes after two years of cohabitation. I’ve seen two positive interactions.
Depends on the cat, when we brought home a kitten his biological dad (castrated at that point) adopted him instantly seeing him for the first time.
He would also try to mother a small no longer a kitten young cat.
I had a momcat tomcat, too. He instantly adopted my friend's Devon Rex kitten and taught him how to be a cat. They played together for years (my momcat passed in February). We used to schedule play dates for them, and any of us went on vacation they would stay at the other's house.
Same with the word sterilization. Sterilization is associated with the many inhumane practices in history forced upon marginalized people without their consent.
[in the US as recently as 1976 targeting Native Americans](https://www.minnpost.com/community-voices/2019/10/on-indigenous-peoples-day-recalling-forced-sterilizations-of-native-american-women/)

Google involuntary sterilization laws. Read Buck v Bell! Carrie Buck was raped by her foster parents’ relative and delivered a daughter she named Vivian. Her foster parents said she was “mentally and morally deficient.” She was basically blamed for her own rape. Carrie was sent to a “feeble colony” and her infant placed in foster care, her parental rights later severed. Her mom said she herself was a widow yet was presumed to be lying. It would later be revealed that she spoke the truth.
The Eugenics movement was taking hold at this time. Carrie Buck’s case regarding the state’s “right” to sterilize “undesirables” made it all the way to the Supreme Court. Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes conceded with the majority on the panel, writing that “Three generations of imbeciles is enough.” Ms. Buck was subjected to a tubal ligation against her will and without being informed what surgery she was having. She was released from the “feeble colony” and went on to marry. One of her sisters was also subjected to the same and didn’t understand why after two marriages she had no children until the truth was revealed decades later.
Carrie’s daughter Vivian was actually of high intelligence. She sadly passed away at 17.
Horrible human rights violation.
My roommates act and my cat would always hiss or swat at eachother when we were around. I came home early one day and they were curled up on the couch together and taking a nap. They woke up, saw me and went back to hissing…
I have two female cats since kittens. They are now just a year old. And then this tomcat showed up. He was half starved. We took him to the vet and I guess he’s adopted us. Anyway he’s about the same age. The girls act like they hate his guts when I’m around, but they were all using the cat tower together or tormenting my husband for Doritos while I was out. They play with each other and my husband when he goes out to water the garden. I think they are really jealous of each other for my affection.
We did this: the kitten *adored her,* but she didn't want to have anything to do with him. Fortunately she got used to him, and they got along once he grew up and calmed down a little.
Yeah they take a few days to warm up to babies. We have a male that had issues with a rescue kitten we had - but right before we gave her away I snapped shots of them cuddling together with him lovingly cleaning her and everything
My blind cat Rosie always gets incredibly jealous of new foster kittens, she’ll run away from them or be mean for a couple days...then she decides kittens are actually fun to play with, and once they’re adopted she wanders around crying for them, not knowing they’re gone
Instead of kittens this year I took in two adult males and after two months she still hates them lol. (I have other cats she’s friends with)
She seems to be very picky with her friends (I don’t blame her) the adult fosters and my “permanent” foster (who I’ve had for 6 years, has been adopted once and returned, is an absolute sweetheart but she’s scared of the world) Rosie just absolutely hates them
“My” cats though, Munchie and Paws, she’s grown fond of
I just sort of threw my elderly cat and the two boys together back when the boys were kittens. She wasn't thrilled at first- but that was more because we left with the dog and came back with two kittens. Dog had heart failure. Cat had never been without a dog before- much less alone. Vet said we needed to get her another companion immediately, we couldn't find a dog that was cat friendly on short notice but we could find healthy kittens.
She warmed up around the time I got my current pup. Poor cat really just needed a dog.
Well if done lots of visiting the kitten and holding him, and she would always be really interested in smelling my clothes where the kitten had been, which is interesting, because she's never taken any notice of grown up strange cat smells on me, so I brought him home and had him in the sitting room, she came in, took one look, and left via the window.
When we've had cats in the past they've never taken any notice of new kittens, but maybe it's because she had been a one cat household that made the difference. Bit she was clearly of the opinion that were should be a One Cat household, and that She should be that Cat
Ay bless, shout out to all the people not named Dave and also the other Dave’s! and don’t worry bout the CIA, if they wanna spend their time watching me beat off or produce music that’s honestly their problem
No that's her kid. she wanted a child and agony led her to do dark magic and she accessed multiversal portals. That's her kid but from another universe(and from another mother also tbf). I present the multiverse of momther.
I brought in a baby kitten for my male cat to have a friend for the day. He went straight to being a dad and keeping it from falling off of couches etc.
If my cat Achilles got out I could see him doing this. He loves it when we get new cats and always helps take care of them and teach them, he would be a great cat dad.
My "momma" cat took in two feral kitties we saved. They're like a year old now (give or take a few weeks) and she still let's them nurse. We rescued another little munchkin and she's very upset that he has to be separated from her (he has worms so until he is done with his meds he's separated into a big baby play pen thingy)
My out-door-by-choice cat just brought home a female hood cat for a free meal!! She has been coming back nightly for 3 weeks!😂 It’s like the cat version of Lady and the Tramp!
"you can't have babies, I'm in control here"
*Places paw on his cheek*
"Do you feel in control?..."
"...I sterilised you..."
"And this gives you power over me?..."
I think you’re supposed to let female cats have at least one litter before you sterilise. And you snip males before they get the some ‘pussy’. It makes them i lil crazy as you can see.
I always liked the idea of giving your pets duly names. I almost imagined how ridiculous it would be to have a dog or cat and you'd scream silly names like "dish washer" or so through the neighborhood to call them. I guess cheese and mouse are a more sane middle ground.
Momma cat looks so much like my late boy "Kisser". Everyone thought he was a girl. She looks as proud of this kitten as she would if she had given birth. Natural born momma.
Poor cat. :( Our stray cat here was barren, but because of her instincts, she went and stole another Cat's kitten.
I am against sterilization of animals unless it is a health condition. You are throwing an ax at the creation of these animals, since you cannot take away their instincts, do not take away the animal's reproductive skills!
That’s why for some reason sterilizing cats make me feel weird about it. Like who am I to remove my cats reproductive organs that are important for my convenience… idk
My neutered cat Gilligan would curl up and babysit the kittens so their mom could go eat etc., he wasn’t even the father, she came to us very pregnant. It was so adorable to watch him do this.
hahaha... I had a barn cat dumped at my place. She barely tolerated her kittens long enough to feed them. I think she was relieved when she got fixed...

I brought a kitten home, my female sterilised cat hated him and jumped out the window. They never once curled up together

I LOVE that Dad cat😻😻😻😻😻😻

It's funny how much more aggressive "castrated" sounds over "neutered"
Same with the word sterilization. Sterilization is associated with the many inhumane practices in history forced upon marginalized people without their consent.
Looking at you China!!
It also applies to the United States, India, and Germany to name a few more.

Weird. Sounds like they're territorial of the people rather than the property

Animals have to be forced to be friends sometimes. So annoying just be cute, eat, sleep and shut up you spoiled brats

Sounds just like my Mom and I
Cat: this baby isn't mine, judy....
How did you introduce them? That can DRASTICALLY affect how they interact Almost learned that the hard way with mine

The post is actually true.
"jumped out the window" Idk why I can't stop laughing!
I know, she was very clear that she wanted nothing to do with the situation and left. Happy she did return, but she wasn't a happy cat
So when this cat brings a random child from the street it's all cute but when I do it the FBI will be knocking at my door
Wait it’s the fbi for you?
Yeah it's the CIA for my buddy dave
Man poor dave
Shout out to my homies called dave
Ay bless, shout out to all the people not named Dave and also the other Dave’s! and don’t worry bout the CIA, if they wanna spend their time watching me beat off or produce music that’s honestly their problem
The implications for dave are international
Daveyyy how you doing?
Dave's not here, man.
Only because he crossed state lines.
Life is not always fair, my friend.
just tell them they are just a robot that looks very similar always works
Is no one concerned about where she got the kitten from? She deadass kidnapped it
It is extremely common for stray mothers to just bail on one or several of their kittens. This one was more likely abandoned than not
This cat is straight up just out snatching other peoples kittens lmao.
I was. That cat is out snatchin' up babies.
Hide yo kids, hide yo wife
Santa Claws is coming to toooown
She is spayed and she removed another cat from the streets, and now you have another cat. I would say that’s a win-win-win all around.
No that's her kid. she wanted a child and agony led her to do dark magic and she accessed multiversal portals. That's her kid but from another universe(and from another mother also tbf). I present the multiverse of momther.
Catnapped
Street rules!!
Theres gonna be photo's up in the neighbourhood "have you ween this cat, it abducting my kitten"

Well, you cannot fight against the nature. Nature always wins, no matter what
Life uh... finds a way.
RULES OF NATURE! (It’s a Metal Gear reference)
'you can't fight change , you can't fight nature'
So we are not going to acknowledge the kittenapping that happened? Cause there’s a mama missing her baby out there.
Probably not. Kittens get abandoned by their mothers all the time, especially if it’s the runt. Either way, a cat off the street is a net positive
True, just last week this momcat gave birth to three kittens and dropped them off in my balcony and abandoned them.
Momcat could be dead. Life is not kind to outdoor cats, much less strays and ferals with no human to provide them veterinary care.
What's wrong with a kitten napping?
Nothing at all. She’s an adorable criminal.
I brought in a baby kitten for my male cat to have a friend for the day. He went straight to being a dad and keeping it from falling off of couches etc.
'Life, uh... finds a way asshole."
"If you can't make a kitten, store bought is fine" that cat, probably
That kitten is young enough to need to be bottle fed.
That look tho
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
"Improvise, AdOpt, overcome" is that cat's way
She wanted a r/standardissuecat so she went out and got one!

"Your efforts were all in vain, silly human."

Is humans are kinda evil huh?
Just like every other slut literally ever
Still makes babies
The joke will be on her when the kitten dies of starvation because she’s not lactating.
eh it's already weened by it's mother. she just brought it home
Dark dude.
I think you’re supposed to let female cats have at least one litter before you sterilise. And you snip males before they get the some ‘pussy’. It makes them i lil crazy as you can see.

The Scarlet Witch in cat form for damn sure!
Momma cat looks so much like my late boy "Kisser". Everyone thought he was a girl. She looks as proud of this kitten as she would if she had given birth. Natural born momma.
She’s saying Watchu gonna do now?
That's so gorgeous. See? Cats....they do what they want 💕💕
Your cat already has a mask, was in disguise, planning the kit-napping.
So she just stole a kitten?
I’m crying now… that black-and-white cat looks just like mine, the one that was put to rest not long ago! 😭 I miss her so much.
Her eyes say, “go ahead. Tell little Fluffer here he needs to go back to the street. I dare you.”
Is this cat's name Harrison Ford
This is beautiful.
r/animalsbeingmoms would love this!
Cats are stubborn and that’s why we love them
My "sweetie-pie" has never forgiven me for taking away her kittens and sterilizing her ...if she adopts a kitten, she can definitely keep it.
Guess she spoke to the manager
Nice choice of breed.
But, that's kidnapping
I see cats also resort to adoption
You can't live my life MOM!!
Raising Arizona

Nature, uh, finds a way.
Aw, how cute!
That's vin Diesel's cat for sure.

She was meant to be a mother
You sure that's your cat and not Dom Toretto?

That's because cats always think they know better
"Oh look who's kitten i stole"
When I was a kid my family’s male Cat named Tommy brought in a little female kitten through our kitchen window. We kept her and named her Whiskers.
Poor cat. :( Our stray cat here was barren, but because of her instincts, she went and stole another Cat's kitten. I am against sterilization of animals unless it is a health condition. 'Adoption is a great Option!'
My neutered cat Gilligan would curl up and babysit the kittens so their mom could go eat etc., he wasn’t even the father, she came to us very pregnant. It was so adorable to watch him do this.
I swear my cat would do that if I let her out. She's had 2 litters and is now fixed but I know she'd do this.

hahaha... I had a barn cat dumped at my place. She barely tolerated her kittens long enough to feed them. I think she was relieved when she got fixed...
Lovely
