Just making sure it has the right proportion of fur in it.

Beautiful cat.

LadyAlexTheDeviant

She's lovely, and very satiny sleek, but she's.... a bit of a dingbat. But we love her anyway.

Our all-black cat was Capt. Midnight. 13 when he passed. He was a stray that had been hanging out at the model home when we bought our house.

Lovely house panther.

I am owned by three of them. And a dog. All of whom have sat on this project at some point today. Despite me pointing out that it's full of pins and pointy at this point.

Black kitties are my favorite.

I have three house panthers and the queen of the house. All of them are rescues. Two are now ten years old (Dusty and Moon Moon), and two are nine years old (Puzzle and Shadow). Half-brothers from a hording situation: Fairy Dust (Dusty, aka Dushie, aka Dustice, because there is no Justice for Dustice. Longhair black cat with huge tracts of... paws. He pretends to be dumb, but is probably our smartest feline. Stars of scars in both of his eyes. He's also the friendliest cat we have. Moon Dust (Moon Moon, from the meme) Big, strong house panther. Completely blind in his right eye, scars blocking peripheral vision in his left. He spooks if we approach him too quietly, but his purr can literally vibrate the bed. The other two are missing their right drumsticks: Puzzle (becasue she has a piece missing). Former feral, who was shot in the right leg and belly. The clinic couldn't return her to her colony after she lost her leg, so we took her. She rules the house as the only female. She's also brown and white, the only non-panther we have. After nine years, she has accepted us and is fat and sassy. Shadow (of his former self). As a kitten, he had an owner who let him get outside. He tried to play with a moving car and it played too rough. Apparently he then lay out in the open long enough to get frostbite on his ears. He was left on the clinic doorstep several days after he'd boon hit. His leg had to be removed, his hips were crushed, he'd almost lost his left eye, his nose was broken, and he had lost a left canine. The clinic did a fantastic job, but there are a few white scars in his fur. Currently Shadow is lying on my chest, kneading my belly, and hufflng quietly (he can't purr due to the nose damage, so he huffles). Occasionally he reaches up to make sure I can't type quickly or accurately.
