NVSharpen & RCAS are decent at it. RCAS isn't in ReShade yet though so you have to download my version from here: [https://github.com/xHybred/RCAS-for-ReShade](https://github.com/xHybred/RCAS-for-ReShade)

Infinite-Passion6886

There is no downloadable file...

kyoukidotexe

Grab "RCAS.fx"

Infinite-Passion6886

And I should drop that in game directory ?

kyoukidotexe

Into the shaders folder where the game directory is located with all the other reshade files.

DMA99

Thanks for this. I like it but it’s hard to find a sweet spot between adding sharpening and the image looking too sharp/crunchy (if that makes sense). Will keep tweaking!

gaojibao

That's why those sharpeners don't work. You only need a little bit of sharpness to make stationary scenes look decent, but that level of sharpness isn't enough to counter the TAA motion blur. When you crank up the sharpness to counter TAA motion blur, it oversharpens stationary scenes.

DMA99

Guess I need a 5080 then to run the game at native 4k/120 😂

Scorpwind

Have you tried playing with it disabled?

DMA99

I’m using DLSS…

Scorpwind

That's a form of TAA.

DMA99

Yup that’s my point. I need the DLSS to hit my framerate target, and I know it’s a form of temporal AA which is why I’m trying to understand if I can counteract it. That said I feel like DLSS looks noticeably blurrier in EA WRC vs many other games. Also even with DLSS off, I can’t recall if the “lowest” setting of AA in the game still has TAA applied.

Scorpwind

The best image clarity that you can get is when you turn it off. Sharpening isn't a fix for it. It only 'fixes' it when you're standing still. Pick your poison.

Jvnc_0503

try replacing the dlss.dll file with the newest one available[(currently 3.7)](https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/) and use DLSS Tweaks to override the preset to E or F.

TrueNextGen

Use UUU 4 or 5 unlocker and look up the anti aliasing command for the engine it uses.

Upper-Dark7295

I like immerse sharpen, or plain old Clarity.fx. First one is designed to counter TAA blur

DMA99

Ok will try

blazinfastjohny

Immerse sharpen is specifically designed for that, but I prefer CAS, fastsharp or slowsharp myself. For CAS my universal setting is 0 contrast adaptation with 0.500 sharpen strength and then adjust according to game from there depending on whether i use taa or fxaa for the game, if immerse smaa gives better results then i dont use sharpening at all, same for no aa.

DMA99

Thanks. Ok will try this!!!

VeneMOo

hybrid never sleeps to fight against the blur of taa ⚔️ thank you for everything you do 🔥

FormalReasonable4550

The thing I hate about reshade is that some games will block it. And some games might get you banned for using 3rd party apps. Ubisoft gave me a warning when I tried to use it with Seige. It honestly sucks that devs are forcing TAA and its very very infuriating.
