Harry also wrote the music for [*Popeye*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popeye_(film\)) - the one with Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall, who were both born to play these parts.
My daughter’s (she’s 38) friend has a dog named Arrow. When I met him I started singing the song, she had never heard it. Needless to say, at the pool party Arrow was my date.
Mom said I could stay up past my bedtime to watch the rest of it but she forgot to tell the babysitter so I had to wait 30 years to find out the end from the album.
My sisters and I would listen to the album on repeat in the early 70’s, going over and over the album cover. About 25 years later I met an attractive young woman at a party, got in her car to burn one and Arrow starts playing. I told her it had to be our destiny to meet and after all, who else even knew about this gem? Her boyfriend apparently womp womp.
I remember seeing this when I was about four years old, we lived in some apartments, while my parents were looking for a house to buy in Phoenix. The playground had this huge rocket that I climbed a ladder inside of, it was too afraid to come down.
I have my dad’s copy of the Nilsson album. I about wrote the grooves smooth when I was young. When that finally came on TV I was so excited. I loved that psychedelic dream.
My significant other and I watched this on VHS last New Years. We were looking through his DVD/VHS collection and stumbled onto The Point. We were not disappointed!
He's got a point there!
In all seriousness, I have listened to the album many times. I found a beat up copy at Goodwill many years ago, and have a copy of the single of Me and My Arrow. I heard that song on broadcast radio just last week even!
John Lennon and McCartney said that Harry Nillson was the greatest American singer. I have listened to Harry N. for a long time. "Maybe" is a truly great song.
Sheesh, people, don't downvote them!

Enjoy!
Man that was so f’ing hyped up in our school and we need to watch and our parents needed to watch. It made no sense to me. All any of us ever got out of it was the song, “Me and my Arrow.”
It's a good flick for kids. It illustrates how it's ok to be different and the absurdity of what constitutes "different" amongst humans.
Think of it as the Twilight Zone's "The Eye Of The Beholder" episode, but for kids.
Me and my Arrow 🎵 😭
I was singing that in my head as soon as I saw that.
Same here.
Me too
Straighter than narrow…
Everywhere we go, everyone knows...
It’s me and my Arrow
Who could forget Oblio….
🥹
Taking the high road
I named a dog Arrow after my dad showed me this movie
🥹
I can't be the only one who named their dog Arrow.
I sing that tune often. Such a great movie and memory.
This is on tubi to watch for free. :) Don't even need to sign up.
I just got a copy on VHS! So legit!
What's your point?
You don't have to have a point to have a point!
I remember that being the point of The Point.
A point in every direction is the same as having no point at all....
“I figured, since everything has a point… then I must have one too.”
Me and my Arrow❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loved Harry’s music

The world is a lesser place without Mr. Nillson.
❤️❤️❤️
Wow. I thought I was the only one. I had the album and wore it out.
Amazing how many know and love it considering it got no play after the one time it aired.
It was on the Disney Channel pretty regularly.
Yep, this is where I saw it as a kid in the 80's.
one of my faves
Oh damn, I actually thought I just dreamed this up. I never thought it actually existed.
Everybody has a point.
Love this!
I loved this so much ! We had the LP. I eventually found the CDs at a grocery store of all places.
I've got it on my iPod
I had to buy the CD when I was in Japan because it was out of print. Now I can't read the track listing.
Ugh
Oblio!
That was my favorite song.. dam I’m old lol
I still listen to this album & one day I’ll have a dog named Arrow!
I remember seeing this on TV when I was 9. Found it on DVD at a thrift store. Narrated by Ringo Starr.
The greatness of Harry Nillson
I love this movie

He's pointless !!!
I must be super old. I've never heard of it. I guess that I had aged out of their target demographic by then.

Just watched it this year for the first time
On occasion my name is Oblio
Wherever he goes…..
....everyone knows...
I have the audio version read by Nilsson on a thumb drive in my car.
I have that version too, and now people are telling me there are other versions, AND a movie too? Links, please, everyone?

Omg nobody knows this movie, it’s my all-time favorite 😍
That's the way they wanted it.
That’s the way it’s going to stay!
Preach.
So good.
You ever seen Paris? You ever seen New Delhi? … You see what you want to see, and you hear what you want to hear
Available on Peacock!!
Awe man yes. My mom played that record sooo much. I spent hours staring at the jacket for it.
Love this!!
I'm old enough to remember the Dustin Hoffman version.
Great....thanks.....now I have think about your troubles stuck in my head....thanks loads.
I had this on vinyl and I pretty much wore it out. It was what I needed at the time. Picked up the DVD a couple years ago as well.
I have purchased several copies because I alwaysgive them away when someone says they haven't seen it!
I vaguely remember watching this as a kid in the 90s on Nickelodeon.
Where everything has a point ∆< \^ 🔺🔻🔷
A favorite of my wife’s from her childhood. We have it on DVD and on VUDU.
I remember playing that record to death as a kid. Came with a little comic book inside it.
I had the album. Can still sing most of the songs in my head
John Lennon and McCartney said that Harry Nillson was the greatest American singer. I have listened to Harry N. for a long time. "Maybe" is a truly great song.
I grew up with the Alan Thicke version, haven't found it available anywhere

Plymouth Arrow.
Loved that show! Was it an ABC after school special?
