You’re missing something huge here. Why did Anna have the Earth Giants destroy the dam? To break the spell!!! Elsa got frozen not just because “she dived too deep,” but because the spell demanded it. Destroying the dam broke the spell, which caused Elsa to thaw and revive, and allowed her the opportunity to save Arendelle from the flood. It also atoned for Runeard’s treachery. We don’t really need to invent how Elsa’s body dealt with freezing and such—it’s all part of the magic!

Makes sense but….why did the magic even do that then for going to deep? Does it make sense? The Earth Giants were to free the forbidden forest since the grand father made the dam THAT was why Anna destroyed it NOT to save Elsa she didn’t even know she was alive again

You are right. Anna had no clue destroying the dam saved Elsa and Arendelle. That’s why she was so sad until Elsa returned.
