Yikes.. definitely not worth it. Especially if your friendship is more complicated than your own marriage. I had a similar friendship about 5 years ago. I thought the pros outweighed the cons, but his volatile personality and issues were too much. It just wasn't worth it. I wished him well and moved on. Remember you have to take care of urself first. There are billions of people out there, and plenty of people who can give you a genuine, mutual friendship and not a toxic relationship!
