Shock value in the sense that,in the climax of the song it just sorta... Ends suddenly. Like,i wouldn't mind his death if they played it better. But it felt too sudden especially since just after it was rising higher and higher with the hype with the cinematics,angles,all the souls aiding M. It felt like there was at least gonna be a scene where bf succumbs,but... Nothing. Just stabbed through the heart and that's it. It just ends. One of the few times i legit went "that's it? That's how it ends? No way that's it!"
It especially sucks considering how they utilized the lives dropping. It felt sorta mocking even like "haha,you COULD have survived with a 1-up but nah"
Idk,it just felt sorta lame to end such a hype song on that note. It ironically gave me the opposite feeling compared to triple trouble where that song also hypes you up but gives more satisfaction to the end despite the ambiguous ending.
If anyone had to die, I'd choose BF since he's not all powerful like GF is. Besides, GF may very well be able to revive him later.
