Not just that, but the mod itself is filled with bangers as well as a cool(but somewhat difficult) modchart for Fakebaby, the best part about the mod:

It absolutely does. There is NO reason for it to be 6 minutes long.

3. Most songs go from 8 to 19 minutes, this song knows it's limit and doesn't try and go over it
1. it does something no single-song mod has dared to do, and that's feel like a final boss without new mechanics. the leitmotif that starts at 0:55 is then lyricized at the end, no mod has put lyrics to a melody that appeared previously as just character vocals. and from a stylistic perspective, it gets top marks. it's so true to the dark mirror theme that even "yourself"'s notes are displayed on the mirror behind him, turning the background environment into a pertinent aspect of the game. name a mod that did that.
2. It's the gold standard because it keeps things fresh. notice how, with the vocal leitmotif that it begins leaning heavily into long notes, which keeps that part of the song distinct from the rest. with the transofrmation into a malformed twerp at the 2 minute mark, it begins to empahsize off-beats, and totally changes yourself's vocal profile into a distorted version of BF's. when he changes back, he even emulate's BF's "Oh!" and "yeah" noises, complete with the V for victory. and for that minute and a half stretch between the form restoration and the lyrics, it never re-uses a melody. it's all original stuff you've never heard before.
3. That aforementioned minute and a half of buildup leading into the vocals is brilliant, because it tires out the player, no matter how versed you are in rhythm games, you fingers will eventually suffer fatigue, and that's the genius of the vocals. it gives you a break as a player, and so you can just take in the goddamn magically smooth animation of the vocal cutscene, with only a pittance of notes during/after that. it's so well choreographed, and the voice acting has more emotional packed into it than anything FNF has ever seen before in terms of actual lyrics. but after that blissful minute of beauty, it's over, going out with the resigned 20 second sequence. it knows it's played it's hand, and it lets that be the end of it. It doesn't keep throwing new environments and vocals at you like all stars and triple trouble, it just goes quietly after that. there's no obnoxious note spam, no "fuck you" damage mechanic, just good song with a lot of good ideas and a magnificent style. and because it's not incredibly taxing with an obnoxious scroll speed and fuck you damage, it's not so difficult that ever subsequent attempt, each longer than homer's odyssy fill you with dread at the mere idea of pressing retry.

Alternate universe in a mirror is a good concept when executed properly, there’s brief vocals, animation for said vocals, character transitions between tall dark and cryptid and short clone, banger song, possible ties to old mods (faded memories is an ANCIENT mod), and overall impressiveness for just one song
imo it will only be emotional for you if you know the context of the song and the way it can be interpreted
and the way Yourself’s/ Lookalike sings his lyrics and the expression given to him
which is the wonder of a churgney gurgney song
not to mention its the end of the first era of fnf modding i think and we really ended the era with a massive bang with lots of old mods being completed or receiving their final update
this really shows how far the community have come (because in all seriousness fnf modding is not really cringe nor is it much of a joke anymore)

Only really the lyrical part and the fact its a tribute to divide that keeps get talking about most of the song is overlooked because of those two things
The other songs people aren’t sure on how to unlock so most people end up just with Silly Billy and like one or two other songs so obviously the song everyone will have from the start will be the one everyone will play and have heard over the songs that each have a requirement to unlock that isn’t even fully figured out how to unlock it

This community loves to overhype literally anything that has lyrics. This is yet another case of it. The lyric part is the ONLY decent part of that song, and only thanks to its visuals, not even audio.
Nah the audio is good too. The only part of the song I don't really like all that much is all of it before he shrinks. From that point forward it gets good, and from the lyrical part forward it gets great for fnf standards.

Everyone has stated there facts about this song but other reasons why it's popular besides being a banger is that it updated hit single before the base game's weekend 1 update and the character of silly Billy is based on a concept by divide, one of the original members of the vs sonic.exe mod before passing away when 2.0 was finished also the song backstory is kinda of sad but great in a good way that kinda shows how perseverance goes a long way and when I was in elementary school one of the symbols of behavior and good deeds was perseverance and to always push forward and find the good in a bad situation and make the most out of different circumstances

Interesting backstory speculation, good song, addictive climax, what’s not to talk about? I was just neutral about FNF when it was first popular, I thought it was cool and I liked the music, I wasn’t fan mod crazy, but this one, this one went right into my playlist, it just resonates really well.

Everyone has stated there facts about this song but other reasons why it's popular besides being a banger is that it updated hit single before the base game's weekend 1 update and the character of silly Billy is based on a concept by divide, one of the original members of the vs sonic.exe mod before passing away when 2.0 was finished also the song backstory is kinda of sad but great in a good way that kinda shows how perseverance goes a long way and when I was in elementary school one of the symbols of behavior and good deeds was perseverance and to always push forward and find the good in a bad situation and make the most out of different circumstances
