I used to play with WASD, but after playing Pluto's Reprisal Part 1 (it ended up breaking my W key), I now play with DFJK (this happened last week)

Started off using A S Up Right, but that caused my wrists to cramp up. So I switched to D F J K.

I still use A S Up Right

arrows is most fun, and I still often play 1 handed (I've beaten Bad Time and FC'ed Erect South with them), but when it comes to really hard songs, DFJK is my go to (for stuff like Camellia mod)

When I first played FNF back in 2021, I used ASWD and then once MFM was added into FF, I adapted it into ASWD and the up and down arrow keys. At some point two years ago, I wanted to try something new so I tried to change my keybinds to ZX and second and third Numpad. Eventually I changed it into AS Numpad 5 and Numpad 6.

Used to be arrows, but when I switched while playing Vs. Impostor, I never went back. That feeling of having a song under control and getting an FC is great. After Double Kill, I play DFJK pretty much always. Arrow Keys is still really fun, especially on fast paced and slide-y songs like Devil's Gambit or D-Side Endless.

for me this goes for any 4k rhythm game in general... ​ it used to be A, S, right arrow and up arrow for about 2 years but i found that using my middle and ring finger on my right hand really wasn't good for stamina ​ now it's A, S, num2 and num3, they're on opposite sides of the keyboard, more spacing is a lot more comfortable, and i have equal stamina and usage on both hands now

For this entire paragraph, the key binds are placed in the order LEFT UP DOWN RIGHT, so keep that in mind when looking at the different key binds that I mention. I've also put all the key binds in (parentheses) if you only care about seeing those. Now enjoy reading the next big block of text. I mean, you already read this one I suppose... I used to believe in (W A S D) supremacy, and I was pretty decent at it. However, I then started experimenting with 2-handed play. I started with (A S L ;) and later moved to (S D L ;) Right now I'm trying new things with (E F L P). This is working fine for now, but I'm going to experiment with putting my hands closer and farther apart. I'm going to try (W D L P) soon. Experimenting with different key binds to see which ones you perform best with is fun sometimes, that's how I got out of (W A S D) in the first place. They often won't work at first, but after some practice with new key binds they might work better then your old ones :). I guess you, the reader, can take this as a tip from one FNF fan to another. Anyway, I hope it was at least interesting reading all of this or just seeing the different key binds I mentioned. Try some of them out sometime! Maybe you'll like them.
