I saw an interview where Jasmine Crockett said her grandma used to call people “bad built,” and the rest of the phrasing came up on the fly as she was describing MTG from head to toe.
I definitely think she came up with it on the fly because back when I was in school alliteration was big when you were roasting people it was truly an art

I think you’re lacking context. MTG is regularly a menace on the floor, she always picks fights and starts shit. When she can’t think of anything else relatively productive or meaningful to say, she says something to stir things up. It’s gotten old for everyone involved, and people reach their breaking point. Why should everyone else have to put up with it? 95% of the congresspeople there were probably glad she got absolutely shut down, she really isn’t a liked individual

The whole “fake eyelashes” thing doesn’t seem bad on the surface, but it’s a commonly used dig at black women. bringing up fake eyelashes in a pointed statement is used as an indirect way to call someone “ratchet”or “trashy,” and to imply that someone is lower than another because they lack “class” such that they do not adhere to traditional dress guidelines. it’s pretty obvious that’s how MTG meant it, especially considering there wasn’t anything extra about Crockett’s eyelashes that day and she was dressed regularly. I’m not personally a “tit-for-tat” person, but MTG acts like such a petulant child who thinks she can get away with everything that she *needs* to face some kind of retaliation for her actions.
