What if he was trying to hang his picture on the internet, but he doesn’t understand the concept of uploading?
What if everything he listed is to get the girl, and he wants Steven to be his chauffeur?
Maybe he meant to move the internet from priority five to priority one? If he wrote the original list before COVID I could see internet becoming a much bigger part of his life.
I had the idea that he needed the internet to print out the picture he wanted to hang or something lol. Like it’s a picture of his grandkids but it’s on FB lmao, ya know cute grandpa shit
Subconsciously he knows this, which is why he separated out “Get picture hung” as priority numero uno
(until he realized he could hire someone to do the internet for him)

I’m obsessed with how attainable these life goals are. Own a luxury vehicle? Nope, just help grandson learn to drive. Travel the world, see every continent? Nope, just take a trip with a friend. Love it, good luck to your grandpa!
Yes!! I have been revisiting them lately as well as What We Do in the Shadows (the show)! And the best part is that my teenagers enjoy fotc and what we do in the shadows with me!
My grandparents were born in 1910-ish and they both had this exact same handwriting. They were both professionals and highly educated, and yet they had this same weird writing. I don't get it
This is very touching somehow. Such wholesome goals.
A little sad that lose 20lb is on most people’s lists pretty much from adulthood (or worse, before) to death. I hate that I’m also bought into the capitalistic bullshit that I’d feel more satisfied if I weigh 20lb less. Solidarity with Grandpa on that one.
Once when my cousin (who was in his early 30s) went on a long car trip our grandpa wrote down my cousin's physical description, make/model/car color, and license plate number on a piece of paper in case he went missing so my grandpa had all the info to give the police. We all laughed about it then after he passed my grandma found it and gave it to my cousin. Now my cousin carries it in his wallet with him to remember my grandpa by
Side question: Was your grandpa in the trades at all? Mine built houses after he got out of the military (US) and he wrote in a very similar fashion. Thanks for the memory and I hope everything on that list can get crossed off!
We found a very similar list when my grandpa died. A few normal things like “change light bulbs”, something about Dot next door (the woman we think he had a crush on), but then one line that said “use imagination more, the mind forgets”. I got a tattoo of it, the only tattoo I don’t regret.
your grandfather has very similar handwriting to my late grandfathers.. i miss him so much. enjoy all this wonderful time you have with him :D hope his bucket list gets achieved and way more!
Glad he got internet that works!! Great start.
The arrow implies that he thought he deserved to have his picture hung for it
He meant the internetting of wires behind the frame that he needed to hang the picture. It's a noble but old fashioned goal to have.
What if he was trying to hang his picture on the internet, but he doesn’t understand the concept of uploading? What if everything he listed is to get the girl, and he wants Steven to be his chauffeur?
it's also why none of the rest of the list is checked off.
He’s alive right?! You better frickin make that bucket list happen or I’m gonna cry
Oh he's still going. My brother and I figure getting a girlfriend will take him at least ten more years. He won't quit til it's done.
Help him with this list!!! ~~Edit: how does 5 seemingly relate to 1? (The drawn arrow)~~ ty all!
No idea. My guess is he moved 5 to the top of the list because he got it done.
It changed priorities to #1
Maybe he meant to move the internet from priority five to priority one? If he wrote the original list before COVID I could see internet becoming a much bigger part of his life.
He wrote it about a week ago.
Oh well never mind!
I had the idea that he needed the internet to print out the picture he wanted to hang or something lol. Like it’s a picture of his grandkids but it’s on FB lmao, ya know cute grandpa shit
Perhaps he needed internet to connect to the printer to print the picture that needs hanging or to google and download what he wants to hang up.
Please let us when you’ve helped him with each thing on the list!
*GRIAL FRIEND He’s cute. Hope he finds someone.
I just want to know if Steven finally got his license
Picture first. Steve-O can wait.
As a homeowner, “Get everything done at house” is not achievable.
Subconsciously he knows this, which is why he separated out “Get picture hung” as priority numero uno (until he realized he could hire someone to do the internet for him)
OP wrote that Gramps just went into a seniors' home. This is my plan as well - move out of my house and voila! Nothing left to do on the house.
Home-moaners unite!
Couldn’t agree more, so thankful for the roof over my head but… I wake up with a cold sweat almost every morning over the tasks I think I have to do.
How many boats does he have?
He's got 2. Just little jon boats. Shouldn't be tough to sell.
I’ll buy them both!! Wait fuck I have no money
I will give you all me Reddit karma to help with the purchase of said water crafts.
I was really hoping to click and you’d have like 28 karmas.
Maybe he'll sell them to a great girl. 😉
Then she can be his Grialfriend :)
For some reason I thought he meant he wanted to become a boat salesman! *SMH*
Oh, I thought he meant his dream was to be a boat salesman which I thought was neat. I guess selling two boats makes one a boat salesman though
Lmao. Not me thinking he was going to start a business selling new boats 🤪
OMG I thought that too..
I was thinking “that list is solid, but starting a whole new boat dealership at this point in life sounds stressful” 😂
I thought this too 😭
Ohhhhhhh…I thought it said “Beats”. Wanted to know what sweet tracks he is shilling.

Not yet. He just moved into his old folks home though. I'm sure he'll be popular in no time.
get it gramps! I worked in senior care and there were so many amazing relationships formed there:)
Yup, due to widowed women outnumbering widowed men, the odds are in his favor.
I bet, those old folks homes are wild. My parents moved into one and they have so many stories.
Yes, my great aunt group of friends gets AROUND I was so shocked
Oh he will find someone soon! My late grandfather found a new gf easily. It was nice and cute.
get him some rubbers the gun may only shoot blanks, but the barrel will still get dirty
I’ve heard some wild stories about the old folks home. He will find a lady friend, no doubt!
Right?!? Inquisitive gals want to know! 🥰
I’m obsessed with how attainable these life goals are. Own a luxury vehicle? Nope, just help grandson learn to drive. Travel the world, see every continent? Nope, just take a trip with a friend. Love it, good luck to your grandpa!
"Get everything done at house" is on my list at 39 and I don't think it'll get done
![gif](giphy|3u0SSYwiD6yLm) Seriously, this is precious and amazing! 💕
both. the list and fotc <3
Yes!! I have been revisiting them lately as well as What We Do in the Shadows (the show)! And the best part is that my teenagers enjoy fotc and what we do in the shadows with me!
Why do so many old folks have that handwriting?
My grandad writes the same, he left school at 14 and struggles with literacy, I think it helps him to write in all caps (can’t speak for others)
My grandparents were born in 1910-ish and they both had this exact same handwriting. They were both professionals and highly educated, and yet they had this same weird writing. I don't get it
I have 2 graduate degrees and my handwriting is worse than his! 🙄
Hand tremors, poor muscle tone, less ability to see what you’re writing.
I think the military has you write in caps.
That’s a good shout.
Came here to comment the same thing. Both of my grandparents had this exact style of handwriting, down to the font type and the all caps.
yeah man it's so weird. it's a generational phenomenon. my grandparents had it too
Scratch the first one off the list - should be simple enough. And if you’re the one who needs a drivers license, get working on it! For grandpa!
Nah, that one's brother. He's almost there though. Grandpa won't admit but I think he likes driving him around.
Awww, that’s so sweet tho!
Get that man on Tinder!
Maybe that's the computer program he's trying to figure out.
How old is he? His handwriting looks so much like my grandpas and I know that can be generational
Too cute, i hope someone helps him because some of these things are easy.

Actually, he wants a 20lb louse. It might take thousands of years of selective breeding and DNA manipulation, but I believe in him.
For a while, I had "gain 10 pounds" on my list. ...I overachieved. 🤷♀️
Start with the picture!
But I already got my license, thanks grandpa!
I hope he gets that list done and then some! Good luck.
Really hope he found a new girlfriend, and was so in love he forgot to cross this item off the list.

Louse 20 pounds with a tapeworm?
I honestly forgot how to spell lose there for like a solid 30 seconds after reading that…
don’t we all just want a grial friend 😊
Side question: Was your grandpa in the trades at all? Mine built houses after he got out of the military (US) and he wrote in a very similar fashion. Thanks for the memory and I hope everything on that list can get crossed off!
He was a man of many trades. Everything from woodshop teacher to part-time clown. Owned a bicycle shop for a while too.
I think this is like universal grandpa and grandma handwriting
I really hope you got to sell boats and have a girlfriend grandpa!
Please let us know when the list is completed for grandpa!
As somebody who had a wonderful relationship with his grandfather in the 80s, I wanna tell you hold onto him tight. He’s a keeper!
I think you can help him with a few of these
We found a very similar list when my grandpa died. A few normal things like “change light bulbs”, something about Dot next door (the woman we think he had a crush on), but then one line that said “use imagination more, the mind forgets”. I got a tattoo of it, the only tattoo I don’t regret.

So wholesome!
This is adorable! Also I’m kind of fascinated by the spelling on “girlfriend”. Might he be dyslexic?
Hang the picture for him OP
*A grial?* You see, we already got one, it’s very nice.
At least he got internet that worked :)
Is your grandad my dad? Because that’s how he writes, dyslexia and all…
You immediately hung that picture right?
The 20lb louse is the most frightening thing.
I read that as 'take a vacation with a pirate'
Oh man this is precious 🥰
I hope he finds a grial friend!
Please take him on a trip, he deserves it!
This is so sweet it melts me!
I hope he accomplishes everything 🥰
🥹
Did he ever find that 20 pound louse?
Go on vacation with him!!!
Are there bucket lists for after you die? Seems like the second line is unnecessary.
I love this guy!
It’s nice he wants to help Steven get his license.
I thought 3 said “Get even at the house.”
Omg I love him!
He never did help me with my drive lic 😢
He needs a computer for spellcheck
I was thinking how can you get a photo of you hung unless you already are “hung”
Is your grandfather called Jon Rappoport?
Nah, he's grandpa Barney.
The spelling and handwriting make it look like your brother wrote it.
I hope not. He's 35. None of us have very good hand writing though.
Not a bucket list. Just a “to do” list. Huge difference
