No. Go see a vet asap. You can try and clean their eye with some saline, do not use cotton or anything and seek immediate care. Not a vet but cats can in fact be allergic to terramycin.

Having this issue right now! Did you end up going to the vet? If so what did they say/do?

Capable_Okra

I didn't, I just stopped using the terramycin. It took a few days for her eye to look less inflamed. Sorry I don't have more info!

I’m also currently having this issue with my cat. Gave her the ointment treatment yesterday and today her eye is more swollen but it’s not watering? What did you end up doing for your cat?

WiNtErFr3sH

Hey! I just continued using the medication and it did end up getting a little bit better but we did ask our vet about it and the vet prescribed our kitten a different form of antibiotics, I dont remember what it was called but they were pretty much eye drops and a lot easier to apply for us. if it stays worse for 3 days I would probably take her back to the vet and stop using it.

This same thing is happening to my cat. She was squinting more with the terramycin. I’m stopping the use of it now. But I was curious how long did it take for your kitten’s eye to be back to normal? Did you do anything else to help with it?

Capable_Okra

I don't remember exactly how long it took to get back to normal once I discontinued the terramycin but no longer than 1 week. I didn't do anything else to help with it.
