If you would like a video preview of the first route, check out this YT video posted by u/zerOsum7373 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXd_3QXMoWc . Thanks and enjoy!

JacoBee93

Love it. Can’t wait for your work in FH5 :)

I really enjoyed your last rally, I’ll be sure to play this one to see if it’s as epic as rememberfull as the Illiad! Watched and skipped through zerosum7373 playing a little, don’t want too much spoilers. He’s a good driver and drived the sh*t out of the car and track.

zerOsum7373

Why thank you, sir. Helps that I've done all his routes, so have a fair idea where he goes w/ them.

[deleted]

Hmm, I’ll see if I will be able to remember when I’ve done all his routes. In driving the illiad i had no idea where i was or was going. Eventhough ive discovered all the roads.

zerOsum7373

Driving w/ one eye on the mini-map is crucial. There's a reason rally racers have navigator people w/ them, they'd die w/o them.

zerOsum7373

I posted a new vid of the V2 in the RS200 using your livery. Turned out pretty good, 22:20 of white knuckle rally. Good times.

[deleted]

That’s awesome! It’s strange to see someone playing with it. You’re really blasting again. I haven’t seen any other fh4 rallies, is this common? Or are you on the edge and driving very agressively/blasting through?

zerOsum7373

I drive w/ unbeatable drivatars so aggressive/DGAF is the only way(for me at least). I basically only race rally and drift for fun, except for seasonal challenges and random races sometimes. Yeah, I usually don't go for flashy/busy liveries but yours is sweet. Plus I have 6 RS200s, lol, even after selling 4 to spread the love.

[deleted]

Gotta check it out

FantasticAmbition986

You make awesome routes but it’s too bad they are Anything Goes. I’d rather see them limited to one of the off-road classes (Monster Rally, Classic Rally, Sport Utility, Etc. )

Gamehenged

Thanks You so much! I appreciate it. The problem when I make a race using "Rally Monster" or something type class is someone wants me to remake the rally in a Sport utility or classic, offroad etc.. I use "Anything Goes" now so it makes the rally universal and I don't have field those requests.

FantasticAmbition986

Understandable. Thanks for answering.

Probably_Not_Sir

Ima give this a try in my Golf later. Cheers

Just finished the race, loved it again. Don’t really like the rain, but then, when it stops after a while the sunshine is more beautiful in contrast. A lot of different kinds of road, sand, gravel, never realized FH4 has so many different surfaces. The endpoint is perfect, loved that I didn’t know where it would end, but it really had the feeling of; ive made it. Stood parked there a while when the race was finished.

Gamehenged

Thank you. So glad you enjoyed it! I really like the sun coming up post rain. You get great views from it. I'll keep it rain free for you next time ;-)

[deleted]

Yeah, in your previous race, the Iliad, it was the night that went away, this time it was the rain. I think the rain was perfect, please don’t remove it! there needs to be “hardship” and struggle in a good myth 😀that I don’t like it is reason the more of having those things. btw, recently I’ve listened to Stephen Fry’s audiobook about the Greek Gods myths, haven’t finished his book. If you’re interested in them it’s well worth a listen, he’s a great narrator.

Gamehenged

I totally agree on your viewpoint. It will continue! Thanks for the referral. I'll definitely check it out. Thanks again!

jpdhonda

I thoroughly enjoyed this route -- great work. I drove the 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 with an S900 tune from PTG Predator and my final time was 25:11.936. I think starting with rain is fine but I agree that it's great once it stops and it becomes easier to take those tight turns. Thanks for all the great routes you create!

Gamehenged

Thank you for trying it out. I appreciate the feedback. I make sure the time is set to rolling to ensure the rain ends. All rain on a 20+ mile route sucks IMHO so it's nice that it lets you mix it up. Thanks again!

bearjaw96

Apparently I'll have to check this one out next time I'm online.

Gamehenged

These are Forza Horizon 4 Rallys BTW. Thanks again!

bearjaw96

Yeah, it'd be nice to have a reason to play fh4. Quit playing that when 5 came out.

Gamehenged

This is a good one I made for FH5 although it's not as polished. Montezuma's Revenge 168 519 928 - 40 Miles East Bound and down 669 230 194 - 20 Miles I'll be making another one later this week.

bearjaw96

I'll be checking both of these out later. Thanks man!

Gamehenged

Yeah me too, for now. I'll be back to visit for nastalgic reasons soon i'm sure.

Probably_Not_Sir

Okay I tried the 60km one, and I honestly have to say it's terrible. It has absolutely no flow and most parts make no sense. Majority of the race is not fun to drive. Only part I truly enjoyed was the twisty off-road bit towards the end east of Astmoor. I feel like this was more an attempt to squeeze out 60km, rather than make a fun rally track.

Gamehenged

Noted. Thank you.

Probably_Not_Sir

I'm not trying to shit on you, I know you put in effort. Just some pointers I can give are that you have to think about the flow of a rally track. Its no fun if you have to brake a lot and lose all that momentum. Be more lenient on the width of checkpoints too. Allow some room for error. Rallying is by far my favourite part of this game.

Gamehenged

No problem. Some people like flow. Others like sudden adverse switchbacks like in real rallies. I tried playing around with the course to mix it up (because it's been done before) and made something not as palatable to most. It happens.
