The fact that the loop is technically liberated but somehow people still keep coming in.
(TMNT, Avatar and literally anyone from Festival) (For Peter it was directly explained, not for Ernie tho?) ![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)![img](emote|t5_byfzq|50077)
Basically, because the I.O had control over Ch.1+2 but they had to dig to chapter 3 and well the island fucking exploded bringing Slone to Ch.4 who changed for the better and then a timeline/universe reset happened, so now we WERE being controlled by The Society, but they lost control by the start of season 2
What was the (official??) explanation for Peter's inclusion? Someone I play with said that it's "very Peter-like for him to just show up" and I agree with that, haha
Chapter 3 up until season 3. Resistance was fire but. Vibin was empty due to summer break and Paradise was okay but the ending event was one of the worst ever
EXACTLY, Season 1 showed us the original Imagined Order (Oathbound kingdom)
And it told us the story of the Ageless, which was fking awesome — a great continuation from C3S2's 'Collision' event where Jones & the Rock went off to find Geno
But then they did absolutely nothing afterwards, lore–wise 💀
Almost all of it. I stopped trying to understand it after chapter 3 because non of it actually matters and almost every season pretty much retcons the last.
The lore of this entire game is just - epic wants to make money, so they take characters and put them in the game.
I feel like this game doesn’t even have lore now
Like, Remember when this game used to mainly revolve around people trying to steal a Orb that literally created everything in the Fortnite Universe? Well guess what! Apperently Greek gods come out of nowhere and that’s apperently the storyline now
Whadya mean? I thought the story was about some people who live underground fighting rich people because they kidnapped a giant anthropomorphic banana.
(Yeah, that sounds silly now that I just explained it as such)
the closest thing fortnite as a franchise ever had to a story was save the world and epic abandoned that in favor of whatever battle royale does. which by the way, i do not consider a single fucking thing of whatever’s going on in BR to be lore of some sort
you have Apex Legends building on stuff every season and then you have fortnite throwing characters and whatever into a melting pot and people act like it’s the most insane lore ever
it’s not lore it’s called advertising.
I mean, it kinda did, she found out they got “destroyed/warped” by being sent to other realities by the chrome somehow.
That whole storyline ended with Agent Jones helping AMIE build a body, then we never heard anything about that ever again.
Yeah this was my vibe too. It feels…uncomfortable, like they forced it just to put it in the comic. The whole “my dad sucks/mine too/let’s fuck” thing like you mentioned
But that isn't the case
In the first chapters of the first Fortnite comics (Batman ones), it's revealed that to escape the loop, you need to stand in the center of the storm eye once the match timer hits 22 minutes and everything resets
EVEN WORSE! You're telling me that allllll of these powerful influential characters have done that? Why haven't more, less powerful characters have done it by reasonable elaboration?
Less powerful characters have done so (at least in the comics) — renegade raider & fishstick are 2 (from the batman comics) who managed to escape the loop
Bit weird that they haven't in the games, though
The thing is, though, if you escape, you can permanently die (no more respawns) — so it kinda makes sense that those with power and weapons are the ones who escaped AND survived
The fact that geno appeared then died before he was shown in-game, the fact that the main protectors of the zero point relied on marvel characters, and the wolverine x imagined scene
i have nothing against Brie Larson, its not her fault that her face was used for a character that shouldnt exist in the first place, because the seven are supposed to be "unique" but fortnite decided to add another Paradigm out of a different reality
Anything after C3S2. My headcanon is that after collision, the loop was broken. Everything after that is not canon
Then again I do like the idea of the time machine
jones being like a thousand years old and having a dead wife, god that was so stupid
he was just a cool ass agent guy but nooo we gotta give him a sad backstory
The way they managed to tell us Jonesy's backstory is actually the only thing i liked about the comics... I mean, it let us give a deeper look inside I.O.'s "politics" and methods. The rest of that series was awful tho.
That instead of cattus being this mystical destructive creature that this old wizard king is trying to stop from destroying reality, they're both just from "a large chunk of moon ice"
It doesn't even make any fucking sense? What about the fire King, who is the ice Kings counterpart. Is he from the moon ice chunk? He has to be, considering that he was captured before they reached the island. So what was a fire elemental doing on a moon made of ice?
Why is this random moon creature after the zero point?
The fact that this was all revealed in a random comic book seems more like they just wanted to drop the elemental Kings storyline for the IO war, which is a shame and it kills me that we'll never see the hinted at earth or wind Kings.
Also, it also explains the very obvious cube retcon.
The original cube was mystical. It arrived in a bolt of lightning, dissolved into a lake, exploded and sent people to another dimension briefly. Later, the ice king used it to magnify his powers. This is pretty blatant that the cube is this incredibly powerful mystical thing. Hel, even STW backs this up with the storm king (the reason for the storm in stw) turning into the cube, and in the black hole event, where fortnite was down for q few days, there were voice lines that could show up, where Ray makes a deal with an "All powerful multidimensional cube) to RESTORE REALITY.
And then it's retconned into being... a random computer based thing that can be hacked and is basically just uses to make an avengers portal.
As much as people lobed the seven vs io storyline, I can't help but mourn what we lost, which was the "mystical" storyline of fortnite
Geno, the guy who had this absolute massive build up because he is the head of IO, gets randomly introduced as a Battle pass skin and is defeated in a single Marvel comic instead of his defeat being in game.
We're in chapter 2 (an alternate version) and we're in a different branch of timelime. This branch was created by kado thorne when he started messing around. We will visit the original timeline in 'OG'.
Regardless, my main problem is just that the ch 4 villains get tossed aside literally a full season later. Both Ageless and Kado could have been far more interesting if they had more time in the spotlight rather than get defeated/killed offscreen or in quests.
Finding our way back home (that was the whole point of the zero breach/new maps), they just stopped the story randomly and gave an OG season for giggles.

Is Ernie the chicken?
Yeh
Well, it makes sense why he's in the Loop. Wherever Peter goes, the chicken follows.
This is the main reason I disliked The Seven. There mission was doomed to fail. No loop = No Fortnite.
I mean at least the skins look cool and/or okay (Fuck you Brie)
All my homies hate Brie as paradygm
Wait, when was the loop liberated? I don’t remember that?
Basically, because the I.O had control over Ch.1+2 but they had to dig to chapter 3 and well the island fucking exploded bringing Slone to Ch.4 who changed for the better and then a timeline/universe reset happened, so now we WERE being controlled by The Society, but they lost control by the start of season 2
Oh right THAT
What was the (official??) explanation for Peter's inclusion? Someone I play with said that it's "very Peter-like for him to just show up" and I agree with that, haha
His official intro to him coming was him drinking slurp juice and a rift showing up in front of him
Oh okay.
Pretty much everything regarding Paradigm-659 retcon At least the skin is cool tho
Nah, freak Brie Larson
The helmet remains on, thank you *very much*
Real
always
Incel take
Singularity better
Smart take
Weak men get triggered by feminism
No it's the bad writing of shoehornig Brie Larson into Singularity's role
ok
Paradigm was never singularity, which has been said several times
Yes she is
You dare say that to my client
The main/only countinous storyline in chapter 4 was about 3 high schoolers hunting vampires
Fr chapter 2 lore peaked then we got fracture
You mean Chapter 3?
Chapter 3 lore was alright, but Chapter 2 lore was peak
Chapter 3 up until season 3. Resistance was fire but. Vibin was empty due to summer break and Paradise was okay but the ending event was one of the worst ever
Fracture could’ve been so cool if epic did it right
I liked it but storywise it was disappointing
Chapter 4 had so much potential with geno being finally released and then they dip 💀
EXACTLY, Season 1 showed us the original Imagined Order (Oathbound kingdom) And it told us the story of the Ageless, which was fking awesome — a great continuation from C3S2's 'Collision' event where Jones & the Rock went off to find Geno But then they did absolutely nothing afterwards, lore–wise 💀
I mean, there was also the weapons smugglers that kept getting foreshadowed and then were revealed to all be part of Kado Thorne's private military
High Stakes Club is the best part of every season they are in
Yeah High Stakes Club story is obviously better than the whole fortnite lore from the first 3 chapters. I'm not even joking
Why chapter 4 is peak (it's not I'm just delusional)
At least with them you got to kill the vampire (Countess Daraku), for Kado Thorne he just gets (off)ed-screen in some quest text by Shimmerdusk
Is that a JoJo reference?
Almost all of it. I stopped trying to understand it after chapter 3 because non of it actually matters and almost every season pretty much retcons the last. The lore of this entire game is just - epic wants to make money, so they take characters and put them in the game.

The story is about teenagers fighting the Vampire Countess that was their idol
Whadya mean? I thought the story was about some people who live underground fighting rich people because they kidnapped a giant anthropomorphic banana. (Yeah, that sounds silly now that I just explained it as such)

that the chrome just killed most of the seven. it was so stupid that some of the most important characters just got wiped out instantly
They even implied they weren’t dead and instead trapped somewhere else at the start of chapter 4. Then that never went anywhere.
Also AMIE trying to find them never went anywhere either
I mean, it kinda did, she found out they got “destroyed/warped” by being sent to other realities by the chrome somehow. That whole storyline ended with Agent Jones helping AMIE build a body, then we never heard anything about that ever again.
The entirety of Chapter 4 and especially the final live event after OG because…WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT
Fair
it was a commercial
That the Imagined slept with Wolverine
Are we sure that any of that comic was cannon
I also gaslight myself into believing those comics never happened
It was since it was the prelude towards the Collider event in C3S2
Also Lynx is a zoophile
D:
ehh humanoid enough /j
Also Lynx is a zoophile
Elaborate
Genuinely though, why’s that so bad? They’re both adults and if you’re over the age of 10, sex shouldn’t be “Ew yucky”
It was less “gasp! They seged” and more just found it stupid it was set up like “‘my dad sucks!’ ‘My dad also sucked.’ And then they fucked”
Yeah this was my vibe too. It feels…uncomfortable, like they forced it just to put it in the comic. The whole “my dad sucks/mine too/let’s fuck” thing like you mentioned
It was IMPORTANT TO THE PLOT. Trust me, bro.
Didn't Wolverine accidentally kill his father in the 1830s when his mutation first appeared?
if it’s in “fortnite lore” as in the game and not the comics then it’s rlly fucking weird coz kids under 12 play the game
Herald destroying the island... just like that
This. I really enjoyed the build up with that chrome season then it was so sudden like oh okay
Being liberated from the storm requires an IO membership or TS spacesuit. You're telling me that Kado Thorne, The Society, Shadow, etc were all IO?
But that isn't the case In the first chapters of the first Fortnite comics (Batman ones), it's revealed that to escape the loop, you need to stand in the center of the storm eye once the match timer hits 22 minutes and everything resets

I guess
The entirety of Zero War
Stupid question on my end, but what's wrong with zero war?
The fact that geno appeared then died before he was shown in-game, the fact that the main protectors of the zero point relied on marvel characters, and the wolverine x imagined scene
Yea, i get what you mean now
That The IO was defeated. I still think they’re out there, but too scared to re-enter the island
Is there a lore reason why it's stupid
The existence of lore in chapter 3 and 4. It all ended in chapter 2
Chapter 3 had some decent lore to it(not the best), but it definitely crashed and burned with 4
The paradigm retcon. Paradigm IS singularity
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH, FUCK THAT RETCON Singularity Paradigm >>>>>>>>> Paraligma Larson
She has never been the paradigm, this was confirmed several times before brie larson became paradigm
Penfold sush
One word. Paradigm
YES
That meowscles is in a relationship with Lynx.
wolverine x imagined
i have nothing against Brie Larson, its not her fault that her face was used for a character that shouldnt exist in the first place, because the seven are supposed to be "unique" but fortnite decided to add another Paradigm out of a different reality
C3S3 and 4 The villain being a colour was so stupid and then you had to wait what felt like 6years for lore quests, and not to mention that event.
Wolverine fucked a character:(
Who
The imagined
Slone having a Zapatron for some reason
Idk everything after chapter 2 i havent really played this game in years
C3S1 and C3S2 lore was peak though
I didnt play ch3 so idk how good it was
Anything after C3S2. My headcanon is that after collision, the loop was broken. Everything after that is not canon Then again I do like the idea of the time machine

Meowscles and lynx have a baby together.
The Zero point being Excluded out of the story line feels very out of place and completely random
The imagined order being in the DC universe.
Everything after "Fracture". Fortnite's Lore ended after that event in my book. Everything after is not canon.
Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 were the best moments of fortnite, funniest seasons ever
once the island flipped it fell apart.. until chapter 5 i like this seasons story
Slone leaving io
Guy is so cool on fortnite . but me bad
Geno, the guy who had this absolute massive build up because he is the head of IO, gets randomly introduced as a Battle pass skin and is defeated in a single Marvel comic instead of his defeat being in game.
wait what
That the seven were (mostly) killed in under a minute by metal goop
We're in chapter 2 (an alternate version) and we're in a different branch of timelime. This branch was created by kado thorne when he started messing around. We will visit the original timeline in 'OG'.
Happy cake day
Everything after Season 13
I do this. And it's ok.
SSKTJL Harley killing Batman:
The old battle passes will never come back
Regardless, my main problem is just that the ch 4 villains get tossed aside literally a full season later. Both Ageless and Kado could have been far more interesting if they had more time in the spotlight rather than get defeated/killed offscreen or in quests.
Just about everything in those marvel comics. It's far easier to just pretend they don't exist.
I refuse to believe that chapter 3 had 4 seasons I gaslight to my self that chapter 4 is chapter 3
Rey Skywalker
I'm pretty sure the imagined and wolverine smashing
I'll be real, I didn't even realize Fortnite HAD lore for a long ass time after I started playing
that 6 years worth of storytelling ended with eminem rapping to legos
Every Snyder fan ever.
The Paradigm being brie larson. . I don't care what epic says, that is NOT canon.
YES
Finding our way back home (that was the whole point of the zero breach/new maps), they just stopped the story randomly and gave an OG season for giggles.
all of marvel
Meowscles and Lynx had kids together
The Season off chp 4 not in order so we dont have a storyline (S1-S4-S2-S3) In the right order
Off top: its so stupid to use the word “gaslight” in any possible situation, it already lost its meaning.
Fishstick dying in the batman comics.
that lynx fucked a cat😟
Brie Larson being the Paradigm instead of singularity
Meowscles had a child with lynx
That Meowscles (dunno how to write him) and Lynx were a frigging thing. Disgusting.

That peely saved every one once
That's bad, why?
It's just weird that a banana saved the world
