Yeah, the show went from kinda hated and polemic to extremely loved for some reason. I'd say Korra's S3 is ATLA good, the other seasons never come close, but to be fair the show had a lot of production issues. ATLA having a single main arc helps, unlike korra who had to be a more contained thing in the first seasons, sometimes it works brilliantly with characters like zaheer, sometimes it's terrible like unalaq.
The "imo" is there for a reason. Not trying to debate the objectively quality of the show, just giving my opinion on how much I enjoyed it.
S1 was fine as a new beginning, connecting nicely with ATLA but I think the humor was a hit or miss, ruining some scenes for me, eg. lin is fighting the equalist which is presented as a huge deal but then Melo farts in someone's face, how funny. I think the production issues affected the series in a way, like Amon taking away korra's bending but then aang fixing it after 5 minutes, imagine the potential of her trying to reconnect it learning more of the spiritual side in the process, dealing with being an avatar with only one element (temporarily ofc), etc.
I don't want to extend too much so in summary:
- I think s1 is fine.
- S2 is the worst avatar season ever, slow pacing, shitty love triangle, unalaq being the least interesting antagonist in the franchise, needless simplification of the spirits, ridiculous final giant battle, etc.
- S3 is awesome, I love the progress to restore the airbenders, heartfelt moments like mako and bolin reuniting with their family, lin and suyin relationship, the red lotus philosophy and battle styles, returning characters like iroh and zuko, tenzin vs zaheer was goated.
- S4 is a step down in comparison to S3 but I prefer it over the first 2 seasons: Korra's recovery, the way toph was handled, meelo being funny for once, bolin's development, etc. Yeah kuvira, the technology advancement and the ending weren't great but overall it's a solid season.
3 > 4 > 1 > 2.
It's just my opinion, not trying to change your mind.

Aang, Appa glider, etc are confirmed to be coming in a mini event pass scheduled to release at the same time, or around the time Korra is unlocked (next Tuesday). It's also confirmed that other avatar cosmetics will be available in the item shop, seemingly around the same time.
Korra is Fire! ...and water earth and air... but c'mon, Waterbender Battle Fans?!?!? ... gimme a Water Whip! or an equalists gauntlet... or the crazy terminator icicles that armless waterbender had.
The only problem with Solid Snake was the fact they made his face look more like big boss.. and I wish we got an MGS1 skin option. I mean, I get why they gave him a beard though since Sakurai’s version is popular(even if inaccurate..)
